JFS Construction review: The reason I am writing this is to tell you all that this kitchen is has been a nightmare 2

We started our small kitchen in September of 2011. It is still not done. They have been dishonest with us from the moment we signed the contract, first they told us they would give us custom cabinets then they said no they would not and they sent us to Home depot, that was a nightmare. We ended up at Lowes. Lowes was very helpful.

JFS could not measure anything right. It is over a year and JSF has yet to finish our kitchen. Almost everything they have done has to be done again.

They tell you they will be there on Monday and show up days later without calling. I came home to no electricity a few times. They left our cabinets outside for a week. When they brought them in our house because of the weather, we could not get to the bathroom without moving them.

The reason I am writing this is to tell you all that this kitchen is has been a nightmare. Do not use them, It is over one year and we are still waiting over two months for them to put in a small piece of molding.

They still can’t get it right.

I don't know why, but the codeword "custom cabinets" has come to mean we're just kidding, we have no intention of doing this job...I don't know why but I know two people who fell for this "custom cabinets, we make our own, they're cheaper that way yadda yadda ..." and BOOM it winds up a disaster. In one case, they tore out the kitchen alright, in one day...and never showed up again - ever. I had one contractor in for an estimate and gave me that custom cabinet baloney and I knew he was a scheister, but for other reasons. Just thought I'd share that one with ya.

PS Put that molding in yourself already and move on. They'll certainly never show up for that.

Complaint: 08/21/2012: We started our small kitchen in September of 2011 It is still not done.They have been dishonest from with us from the moment we signed the contract.

Business response: Initially the insured was trying to purchase a kitchen from The Home Depot. They had problems so the homeowners decided to purchase it from Lowe's. More delays and problems. These delays and problems were caused by Lowe's which is out of our control. We were continuously sent the wrong trim pieces by Lowe's and every time we reordered, it would take another 2-3 weeks to receive the reorder and it would arrive wrong. We received a call from the consumer on Thursday, August 30, 2012 that trim piece had arrive from Lowe's and it was scheduled for today. It was installed and completed with a signed Certificate of Completion form by the homeowner.
