My situation with Jim Rosens’ Fitness Warehouse group was a nightmare. I purchased a BF630 treadmill from them on October the 6th of last year. About three weeks went by and I had not received my treadmill I called and then emailed them. After three days of emailing and calling I finally got a hold of my salesman and was told that they did not have the treadmill and that some company who contracts with Beacon had it. I called the company and of course and they stated they did not have the treadmill and that they had attempted to pick it up several times from Fitness Blowout with no luck. I called back and talked to my salesman and he talked me in to purchasing a fold up treadmill, a BF2007. He told me at that time that they would refund my shipping and the difference in the two treadmills cost. That day, I went on the internet and found a delivery company to pick up the treadmill from their location, which by the way turned out to be a self storage building. When the driver showed up to my house, her and her husband had been given the wrong treadmill. I again called and talked with their customer service department who told me that if I would return the treadmill that they would give me the right treadmill and refund the 200.00 dollars I paid for the shipping to the company I found to deliver it. That day, I drove down to their self storage warehouse and gave them the treadmill I received and picked up the one I ordered. 10-20-06.
About a month later I had still not received my refund. I called and emailed them until my face turned blue with no response. Finally I got a hold of a guy by the name of Damien who told me that Jim Rosen had to approve my refund but they would not return my 250.00 shipping charge to Beacon and they would not return the 200.00 dollars I paid to my delivery company. At that point I was so mad I went down and talked with my bank officer and told him what happened. He filed an unauthorized use charge on my debit card and cancelled it. I have not heard from Fitness Blowout since then and received my money back from the bank. I still have their treadmill. Today I wrote them a letter and asked them to pick up their treadmill even though I don't know that my bank may not end up taking the money back from me as a result of their good faith letter (see below). I sent it off today certified to them. They called me this afternoon telling me they lost the dispute but sent a good faith letter to my bank asking for their money. They asked me to pay for the treadmill again. I am not sure what to do but I guess the best thing to do will be to give them the opportunity to pick up the treadmill since they have been charged back for it.
