In 2006, we had a temporary employee to get our trucking files in DOT compliance. She ordered a lot of products from JJ Keller. Now, they will not stop contacting us.
I got a postcard from them one day about a program to keep track of employees. I went online to look at the program to see if it was something that we were interested in. While looking at it, and the cost, I realized that it wasn't something that would benefit us. The first time that they called to ask about it, I told them that I wasn't interested. They told me that I was legally required to buy it from them. I told them that I wasn't legally required to buy anything from them. Now, pretty much every time that they call (which is quite often) they tell me that I'm legally required to buy whatever they are calling about.
Today, I got a postcard that looked like it was from the IRS. It said that I could file my 2290 online. It has the IRS logo at the top and says Form 2290. In tiny print at the bottom, it says J.J Keller's service is not endorsed by the IRS and J. J. Keller & Associates, Inc has no affiliation with the IRS.
We'd like to offer a quick clarification. the mailing you received was designed to remind companies with vehicles over 55, 000 pounds that they must file their taxes annually. Thousands of companies rely on J. J. Keller for this type of information.
We certainly didn't intend to imply that you are required to file using J. J. Keller services. Taxes can be filed on your own, or using one of many service providers available. It is important to note, though, that J. J. Keller's 2290online.com is an IRS-approved service with nearly 3, 000 companies utilizing it for tax filing.
We apologize for any confusion this may have caused. Also, if you'd like to be removed from our marketing communications list, please give us a call at [protected].
My boss got som compliance manuals from them a few years back. We got at least 50 call a week to update this and that. While I do see their business model as making some things easier for compliance, I cannot stand being badgered constantly to spend money for things I can do free for myself. Like filing the annual 2290. Go to IRS.gov and fill it out yourself and don't waste your money.

J.J. Keller needs to learn how to accept NO as an answer. You buy something from them and they act like you are obligated to them for the rest of your life. A lot of their stuff they publish is free on any government website. Just look how they reply to the complaints, they make it look like they just want to help. Go away J.J. Keller. There are other companies that provide info that are a lot nicer to work with. I have had 1-2 calls from them everyday for weeks, when I don't answer their calls, it gos to voice mail. Then they just stay on the line and do not leave a message, which then uses all my recording space up for more important calls. I know they must have extensive training to be JERKS.
Concerning the above comment, assisting companies with their compliance efforts regarding federal and state regulations is a large part of J. J. Keller’s mission. Our intention is to help, and we take customer satisfaction very seriously.

Total irratitating cold call scammers. They do not respect demands to be placed on a "Do Not Call" list.

We take customer care very seriously and never intentionally call someone who does not want to be contacted. Did you speak with someone on our Customer Service Team regarding this request? Well, Personally I cant say enough bad things about the service from this company. We dropped four figures on some software and recently a few hundred more for the update. Which not only doesn't work, but crashed the old system. I and our office manager have been trying to get a hold of someone there for nearly two weeks. All attempts have gone un answered. Are they preparing for bankruptcy or something? Maybe they should move some employees out of the AR department and into customer service, as they have no problem cashing the cheques we send. After waiting on hold for about 15 minutes it then, and only then, allows you to leave a voicemail. I would love to see the market research that tells them this doesn't infuriate 100% of people. Does it really take a genius to figure out that when leaving a voicemail people don't want to first wait on hold for 10-20 min. I personally have spent about 45 minutes on hold with this company only to be sent to voicemail. My manager has actually got a couple people on the phone, however she is told that as soon as "he" gets off the phone he will call you right back. Of course that call never comes. Since having this issue I have researched this company a little bit and wow, looks like I am in the company of many others who clearly share similar opinions. I guess we should have done our homework on the business, not products, before purchasing.
Regarding the above comment from "integrity, " we messaged this user directly with the contact info for our Executive Vice President of Operations and Business Services.
For anyone else who may be experiencing a similar situation in regards to a recent Hours-of-Service software update, we sincerely apologize for the inconvenience. We strive to make staying in compliance with government regulations the best experience possible. Unfortunately, we underestimated the demand for assistance and the time that each support case would take when installing these Hours-of-Service updates. We fell short on our commitment to make software upgrades as easy as possible. We greatly apologize for any frustration this temporary situation has caused. Please be assured that we have doubled our support team in order to address the immediate needs of our customers and we remain committed to providing the highest level of service.

I used to work at jjk and let me assure you that they dont care about the do not call list. Every six months or so the do not call list is emptied out and contacts are sent to reps who call again and again.
This company will not honor requests to stop emailing. The unsubscribe they offer on their website does nothing. It has been months and I still get their emails. If you don't want to be endlessly spammed, hang up immediately if one of their reps calls you for anything.
SBTC trade group investigates JJ Keller: http://smalltransportation.org/industry-warnings.html
J. J. Keller regularly posts industry-related content and tips for our customers, and through an agreement with Google, computer generated ads are posted based on information from our web site. J. J. Keller has limited control or advance knowledge where those ads are posted. It is important to note that we do not mention competitors in our ads or on our website. When a LinkedIn group moderator raised questions about one of our ads, as a professional courtesy we removed the article on our site and the ad despite the fact that the article was a general industry article and had no intended connection or mention of any organization.
It is too bad an American Company uses threats and scare tactics to generate sales. Every time they chase me down with a sales call, I feel as though they are threatening to turn me in if they believe I am not is some sort of compliance, this is not how I would ever treat or solicit customers.
We apologize if you felt as though scare tactics were used. That is certainly not our intent. Our goal is merely to help our customers avoid risk, be safe, and stay in compliance. We will share your feedback with our associates to help improve communication with our customers. If you would like to speak with us further about your concerns, please feel free to email us at ecommerce@jjkeller.com.
JJ Keller's so called "customer service" is the most ridiculous I have ever encountered ! Their marketing callers are rude, obnoxious, extremely loud and obviously not very well educated. We have requested multiple times to be removed from their call list, and have been hung up on countless times. This is a joke of a business. Obviously desperate for business, which explains their lack of talent in the customer service department.
We are in the process of filing a formal complaint with the Better Business Bureau. Hopefully others will follow suit. I have heard and read nothing but negative about JJ Keller. Sad & pathetic. Now that I think about it, their management is worse than the customer service. Otherwise, these issues wouldn't be discussed and commented/complained about, would they?
JJ Keller needs to do a more through background check before hiring. Example: Del Shannon of Knoxville, TN.
This company will not stop calling me despite numerous attempts to have my number taken off their phone directory. I am not even the person they are trying to reach but "Jodi" doesn't seem to understand that. Rude, unprofessional, and endlessly incompetent, I hope I never hear from them ever again.
They discriminate against woman. And lie just to take there money and then purpislly fail them in CDL Class.
