This site lures you in as a free game site. They ask for credit card info in case you want to buy a game then they charge your card 39.95 a month. We never used the site other than that first time we went to it. The only way to get them to stop charging your credit card is to have card canceled. When I called their 800 # they were rude and not helpful. DO NOT USE THIS SITE!

I found 39.95 USD in my credit card account detail charged by Jo-Games.com while I didn't give agreement for any kind of such payment, I am sure that there is something wrong happened, I don't have any idea about this issue. I will be waiting for explanation before taking action. I have been informed that the same thing happened for others by making registration for free account and they discovered that they had been charged. If there is any think happened for me so it will be a trick by you and I will take the action immediately. I don't want any kind of deal with you.

Same experience just today...I called and accused them of fraud and the lady had a nice little cookie-cutter response so you KNOW they get these calls on a regular basis...I even called her out on it. So she said my "account is now cancelled and you will not receive any further charges" and I have contacted my credit card company and they have disputed the charges and refunded my money. WTF though? How can these scammers keep doing this crap? Oh, that's right...because we are IDIOTS for giving them our information. Never again...I will never put my credit card info ANYWHERE for a "free site" (although I must say, in my defense, that I have done this sort of thing before and never had this kind of thing happen). Mother F-ers!

I haven't lost money YET... but I sense it's coming and I only signed up for the "FREE 5 day premium membership" an hour ago. The way they go about it, it's very sneaky. First I did a Google search trying to find FREE android tablet games to play. I was looking for Mrs. Pac-man. Of the search results that come up, one of them is Jo-games.com... which I believe I got to through yet another site. Anyway... I click on their "free 5 day membership" and they ask you to enter your email and a password. On the next page you are asked to enter your debit or credit card information... and that they only want it on file... "you will not be charged for ANYTHING unless you make a purchase". Sounds okay, so I enter my info. But before I actually sign up for the free 5 day membership, I click on the link on the same page that says "terms"... and just like that, magically it signed me up... I didn't even get a chance to confirm it. Heck... on the previous page it actually said... do you want a one month $40 membership or a free 5 day trial? So when I clicked on the "terms" link to see what I was getting into, it signed me up for one of them... but I'm not sure which (which is absolute bull either way).

So after looking at a few of the games and doing a few searches I find out that there aren't any games I even want... and the one I was looking for (Mrs. Pac-man) wasn't one of the games available. However, since I've signed up for a free 5 day membership, I'm wondering how easy it will be to click on and download a game or two. I even found a couple games that I thought... maybe that might be fun. So I click on them and I get to the next page that prompts me to buy one of three different memberships... 1 month... for about $40... 3 months at about $17 per month and 5 months at $15 per month. It won't even give me an option to skip the membership upgrade... you either do it and pay for the games... or be stuck right there... there was no option to say... "no thanks, I want to continue to play for free".

I then go to cancel the account... 10 minutes after I sign up, seeing the writing on the wall... that they are basically trying to take money from people... hoping they don't cancel because after 5 days, it will automatically renew at $39.95 a month. I then see the FAQs... and it says... WHY WAS MY BANK ACCOUNT CHARGED $1? They say it's a hold... so we'll see about that. That could be. I then click on their little link to cancel the membership through their online form... and it tells you they charge your card $1 to cancel it. The form for cancellation is supposedly an express form to help ensure the cancellation went through quickly. It says... if you email them to cancel, you can avoid the $1 cancellation fee. So I click on the "email us" link on their site... and when you choose "cancellation" option on their drop-down menu for the subject of your email, it pops up a link to click on... which brings you right back to the form that cost $1 to cancel the membership. There is also supposedly the option to call their 877 number... but it's late at night, so I'll have to wait till tomorrow, but something tells me I'm going to have a hard time trying to get through.

What I know... is I don't like how they are trying to steal money. I don't like how they positioned themselves to try and take money unless I do x, y and z to avoid charges. Not to mention the games they have on their site stink... I haven't heard of about 95% of them. I will update in a few days. I have a bad feeling about this though.

I just check the BBB... and Jo-Games.com is rated an F on a regular grading scale. That's really encouraging. The one good thing... I also found out they are based out of Wilmington Delaware... which happens to be only a 40 minute drive from my house... if I need to go up and knock some skulls together.

Signed up for a "free membership" to grab a free game for my brother. We downloaded the game immediately after and then uninstalled the software and never looked at the site again. Today I say the 39.95 charge and cancelled the account over the phone. Hopefully I can talk to my bank about an investigation and refund.

I signed up for the free trial and on seeing that I'd be charged 39.95 at the end of the five days, I sent a request for cancellation. Never got more than an automated response. I just called (day 5) and refused to plug in my credit card number and got an operator instead. She says she cancelled my account and was ready to hang up, but I stopped and asked if I had a charge. She said no. Note: I saw that I could do a quick cancel on line, but it would cost me $1. I don't want to give these scammers a damned thing.

Hmm... checking my spam folder, I found that my email request to cancel was approved yesterday. I'm still glad I called today. Not feeling much trust here. Let's hope I don't get charged $40 for nothing!

Ok first off, no matter what a site / business states on there web site always do some research. I was just looking for an online version of temple run and got a google link for jo-games. After seeing their main page asking for my email I got suspicious. I've used many shareware and trial software games and apps in my day and none ask me for personal information. So after searching I ended up here. It seems that jo-games is scamming by making false representation of products and services that can be accessed free of charge during a trial period, which is not the case. I realize that the appeal of something fun to do for free can be really appealing, but you have to be careful. You don't know whats in the their code. What information they MAY be capturing, storing or sending. Be very careful and make sure you check them out first.

As for the $1 charge that is normal. When you give your card information for trial accounts, motels, hotels or gas the card number is run and charged the lowest possible amount; which is $1. This card networks call this a pre-auth or pre-authorization, this is done just to verify the card is good and active. Unless the card information is transmitted again the "pre-auth" will expire within 24 hours. This is normal.

Card info - if you are purchasing from a questionable source, use a pre-paid card. They cost $5-$10 dollars and you can put a fixed amount (usually $200 - $1200.00 - which varies by vendor). This keeps you from having to cancel bank accounts and making a mess of your life if the site / business is a scam.

I never used Jo-Games.com, but they keep charging my bank account. They already took $40.27 from me so now I need to close my credit card. Stop them!

This is a total scam. I tried to download a practice test which was listed as a sponsored high speed download at getbookee.org. It then takes you to urmediazone.com and asks you to sign in. Then asks for credit card to verify your age. Of course, there was no practice test download. Every time it takes you to a different url, including bamplay. playblitz.net, uplayed, crank play, titanplay.net, funk play etc. When I called the customer service and started questioning the woman she put me on hold and never came back. While I was talking to her strange beeping noises started happening. Then I called from a different phone and through intense questioning, got that they were www.jo-game.com based in Canada. That woman then hung up on me. Total scam. Don't sign up.

wow! thank you all for all this! I was going to download a free game then, I get this page asking me for a credit card, so, I am like why do I need to put in a credit card if this is suppose to be free? So, I called them to see why they needed my credit card and to make sure they are legit well, I get this lady who is really rude and not helpful at all! all she says is that it's company policy whether game is free or not! so, I decided to look at the reviews and thank God I did! I am very skeptical about putting my card in any site! much less one I don't know! I advise everyone else to be very careful about such sites and what I really don't understand is WHY they are allowed to get away with all this scam!

I called your company, I wanted more information about your company before I gave my credit card information so, I called. Well, I am glad that I did call because it showed me what kind of employees you have working for you and how I was going to be treated if I did sign up! She was soooo rude and very uncaring about what I wanted to know, like I was bothering her, . I was going to sign up but you sure lost one customer to be, with your "lovely" customer service! I believe you would get more happy customers if you would get some better employees!

I am also seeing titanplay.net from Houston, tx has charged my credit card 34.95 for something I don't even know, but im pretty sure its like the rest of these complaints and for a free download that had something to do with needing a credit card even though it was sposed to be free. Tried to cancel. couldn't figure out what to do. What do I do next? Sounds like go to my bank? What a lesson learned from these scammers.
