unfair business practices
My bank promised me a new type of account. They promised me that if I didn't have the funds to cover the purchases I made the purchase would be denied. They promised me I would not incur overdraft fees or have purchase amounts on my account that I didn't have the funds to cover (i never use or order paper checks). They never once said that it was only for purchases made at the store with my debit card until after I agreed to open the account and noticed there was - $141.00 in my account. So I called them up and spoke with a manager who informed me that only the purchases I made at the store with my debit card would be covered by that account feature and that I would have to pay the cost of those purchases but they would wave the overdraft fees, and that the banker who talked me into opening the account withheld those important details (they came to my work and approached me by the way I did not go into the bank to inquire about opening an account). Now don't get me wrong, I am thankful that they agreed to pay the overdraft fees but I do believe the banker who withheld those details to trick me into opening the account should have to be held accountable for his dishonest business practices. Don't fault me for this I was raised to be an honest person and expect the same level of excellence from the people with whom I do business. It's called good business ethics.
YOU just think you know everything don't you mister handsome. And obviously from your username you think your all that and a bag of chips. Yeah maybe a bag of ###! You can't prove anything you said so shut the HELL UP!
He was supposed to send me that information but nhe never did! working for a bank does not hold you blamelesssssssssssssssssssssss! Idiot
Hey mister handsome were you there? NO
You don't have a clue what the bank did or did not tell me!
he didn't give anything it was done at workkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk!
No. Just took credit card applications for a living and a very good friend of mine I like to call my brother was a Magistrate Judge but was asked to step down for calling the system on their shady business practices. That's why I know so much about this even though I just got my high school diploma at 43 years old.
Thank you Little Nipper
Brenda I realize my mistakes but why shouldn't I expect the bank to realize theirs and also to honor their obligations! Do you not expect me to fight back? Do you have any proof that I spent money I don't have? Do you have any proof that the direct sales business I sell for didn't put through an unexpected charge at the wrong time? No you do not! Get some and then we'll talk! And I am owning up to my own mistakes by admitting that I shouldn't have agreed to open the account without that disclosure but I used to take credit card applications for a living so I know what the banks are required to tell you. I read the patriot act and disclosures that are required by financial institutions any time someone opens an account or a line of credit countless times everyday, and also know that those terms and conditions are in the disclosure! He was required to give me that information!
-Nuff Said!
But Brenda he approached me at work and didn't bring the paperwork with him for me to read. I know I should not have agreed to open the account without that paperwork but that still didn't give him the right to withhold that information from me.
Excuse me I was raised to be an honest person. I never lied to them. I was never told that reoccurring charges on my account were not covered under that. This is in no way my fault. Common sense should tell you that because he withheld important details from me to trick me into opening the account he should be held accountable for that. I was never dishonest and did not spend money I didn't have. Why don't you try asking me for more details next time before jumping to your rash conclusions. My business put through an unexpected charge at the wrong time. I have since straightened it out with them. So don't tell me I am intentionally spending money I don't have. I never have these kind of problems with my prepaid credit cards which I have been using for many years and am now using exclusively again. I will never trust banks again. And as I said they approached me not the other way around. The branch manager understood this why can't you? common sense. I am not blaming anything I did on anyone! I am blaming him for lying to me and withholding details I had a right to know and by the business code of ethics he had every obligation to tell me! common sense.

harp offered to me by bank
For long time chase have been sending me offers to refinance my home and my second home condo. Almost every month sending me ups envelopes with offers, until finally I opened one and I failed for it. On my home I had a balance of 66, 000 dollars and had left 6 years to pay it off, at a rate of 4.875.. They offer me to refinance to 10 years at 3.375. I decided to do it, and I am hoping to pay it off sooner than the 10 years.
The issue that I find abusive, is chase offering me to refinance my condo, balance of 100, 000 dollars; I have been paying it for 10 years at a rate of 5.5. They want me to refinance again to 30 years at a rate of 4.375 to save myself about 85 dollars a month, but by me refinancing again at 30 years I will be paying them a lot more money in interest. Obviously they will make a lot of money at my expense. I refused it.
This is a harp program, chase is abusing the program by offering it to customers that do not need it, or by selecting customers like me (Frankly I did not needed it) that are about to pay off their houses, so chase is making customers fall in their tramp by offering a point less in interest and making them refinance back to 30 years without customer realizing they will be paying in the long run a lot, a lot more money in interest. In addition chase makes money with the the money or credits they get from the government.
I found banks abusing the system again. Can anybody do something about this. Here we go again banks abusing the system.
Thank you

did not return refund
Company did not return my refund despite of numerous follow-ups to Tamara Little (tamara.y.[protected]@jpmchase.com) and Angela Moore (angela.l.[protected]@chase.com). I was told it will only take few weeks and it has been 5 months and I still have not received my refund.
Hello, I am Ramiro Portillo, Retired Bank Official, Camp.Mgr for Mr.Obama (Immigration Law) and Her Majesty the Queen (Economic/Banking Issues (Received Letter from both. I am Link with H.E. Ambassador Dr.Percy Tamayo JD, International Law. I called the Retail Dept at1-[protected] and upgraded my conversation with a Supervisor/Manager. I stated that my first account had been comprimised and a list of ACH/Checks that needed to be paid to the new account. Well I purschased two medications from my doctors office in the amount of $14.00. The account was closed so when the item for 14.00 was returned for the lack of checking the notes. I received a letter from my doctors office wanting $14.00 plus the $30.00 dollars that were assest to their account. I asked this Manager that I needed a credit to my new account for $30.00 and that I would take care of the $14.00. She said that she was unable to credit my new account and the old account could not be credited because it was closed. At that point I lost my cool, which I never had to. I called her Stupied. She then asked me to get my Doctors Office Transit Routing number and Account Number. I said, WHAT!? Let me ask you, would you give me your personal account number, she said no. You are one uneducated person and a damn IDIOT! You do not know what your are asking for. That is so ilogical and stupified. Have you studied Law in Banking or Business Banking, she said noth. Mind you I do not have the money I used to have because I am terminally ill, I have 8 doctors and 15+ Medications I take a day. I am not to be stressed out or have any anxiety for that will determine the longivity of my life. I am a 15 year survivor. My dob is 9-5-1959, Phone: [protected], email: ramport59@sbcglobal.net. Please look into the recording or notes they placed on my account. I finally hung up on her and called my Branch Manager that treat me like if I am part of the family. Chris did not hesitate in giving me $30.00 to my account because he reviewed my documents and said that I deserved the $30.00. That is was the banks fault in not following my instructions. Asking for someone elses account number is like asking your CEO for his Personal Information. No sense but again she is a women! Please look into this, because in the past I have had an anxiety attach and ended up in the hospital. Grand Pleasure, Mr. Ramiro Portillo

Last year I was introduced to Edward Wennerholm at the Chase Branch on East 51st Street. I agreed to let him handle my IRA and we decided to sit down at a later date and go over my account. One month later I showed up for an appointment only to find out that Mr. Wennerholm was not there. He never contacted me to cancel the appointment or tell me he was running late.
I asked someone else at the branch to have him to call me to reschedule. I never heard a word from Mr. Wennerholm but did receive a statement from Chase a month later informing me that he had sold off everything in my IRA and purchased new stocks. I was never consulted or even informed of the change. I filed a complaint with Chase, it was investigated and Chase's final word was 'Mr. Wennerholm did nothing wrong and acted in his client's best interest.' When I pushed I was told by Chase customer service that they would no longer address the matter or respond to future inquiries. I recently filed a complaint with the OCC and they are handling.
This a is one of 3 cards got in my name but was not me identity theft chase never ever had a chase as don't even remember acct name yr ago when I did last payoof in my credit cards I closed all my accts however my credit information had leaked out and been actcessed chase 24201-demino [protected] $5021.02 But as my mailing address had not been changed when left house empty my mailing and identity was being used as had just moved down street one block too other house 1422 washington pike old one 1510 washington pike all my credit information had been actcessed and used for long period as they keep up till I got collection by stilling mail as well was able too use my credit. My wife and I put in for a loan modification thorough Chase and it was the worst thing we ever done in our lives, so please take heed. Our home was not up-side down, we never been late on payments, and had excellent credit. We simply had no money left month to month. We were house poor, but were not delinquent on anything. From the time we asked for relief, Chase began treating us like they were a collection agency. They got all our information of hardship, and then proceeded to damage our credit so no one else would do business with us. They originally appraised our home at $400, 000, how they list the value on their web site at $220, 000. They put us in an escrow and said they paid our insurance and tax, but they didn’t. Thank God we followed up and paid it ourselves. A lot of people got messed up with that one and wound up with insurance lapses. They also cut our line of credit, back-dating it hoping some checks would bounce by the time we got the letter in the mail. Beware! Chase will drag you around with no intention of helping you. Please do not put in for a modification. If you have no other recourse, unfortunately the best thing to do is sell it or walk from it. Dealing with Chase for help, you will definitely be worse off. If you are current with bills and have good credit, but you’re simply house poor, It will be the worst thing you possible could do.
I know personaly that Chase is very slow in helping their customers and I have heard a lot of issue like you have experianced in your post.
I too applied for a modification through chase and have perfict credit, however they did modify my loan and wiped over half of my mortage. I think because I was very persistant to include recently comming home from combat in Iraq to include being injured. My luck was very good with Chase even though it took time, it is sad when banks get bailed out with our tax dollars and they refuse to help people who's tax money was used to keep them solvent.
terminated relationship
Two days ago, I left work and my card did not in the machine so I can pay for parking. I thought that the machine was faulty (because it has been in the past). I just bought lunch an hour prior and I did not receive an alert from chase that something was going on with my card. I called the number on the back of the card and the rep told me there was nothing that she can do, I had to go to a branch. I made my way to my branch location and was not too worried about anything. I felt that they would be able to help me out. I arrived at the bank and told the banker that my card didn't work for some reason but I just checked my account and didn't see any unusual activity and I used it earlier to buy lunch. Had had well over enough money in my account.
After the women got off the phone she stated that she needed to speak with a co-worker just to check something. I thought that she had fixed the issue and I'd be on my way. She came back and told me she was sorry but Chase is terminating their relationship with me and my accounts are closed and I can no longer bank with them. We sat there for a minute and didn't say anything. I was floored! The banker said that they do not have a reason why and it's the weirdest thing but I can't bank with them anymore. She couldn't give me any answers except I was a high risk! I told her I will be back in the morning to speak with the branch manager.
I came home and called Chase. I was transferred several times. The account specialist told me that I make high risk purchases (which I did not realize that Sally Beauty Supply, gas, Nordstroms, food and face cream from a convention was a high risk purchase!) I asked the specialist what high risk purchases are you talking about? She said that she does not have those details then connected me to an account analysis. The analysis repeated everything that the specialist told me. I told her I need to speak to your manager because this is making no sense. The manager was a real treat. She automatically began yelling into the phone before I could open my mouth that my account is closed, it will not be reopened, and I can not bank with Chase again. I was totally caught off guard. I told her that I need for her to explain to me what risky purchases I have made that alerted them to close my account. She then proceeds to yell again into the phone "You do not need to know that, those are things handled on the back end that you do not need to know but as I said before your relationship with us has been terminated. You can go to the branch to close your account but you are not getting your money right away. You can go tomorrow (since they are closed already) and ask for the branch manager and he can call me so I can tell him how much you can withdrawal until we mail you a check with the remaining balance." So let me get this right, YOU are closing my account and your going to determine how much of my money you will give to me! You have got to be kidding!
A year an a half ago, I had my wallet stolen and someone attempted to use my debit card. I called Chase fraud department within 24 hours at the time and changed debit cards and moved it to another account. Everything has been fine after that. Fast forward to March 2013, I bought an item at a convention which I do every year but this time, I receive a fraud alert. I call chase and confirm that I made that purchase and that was it. That was March 2nd. They "supposedly" sent me a letter March 15th to terminate the account. I never received that letter. I have never had a problem using their ATMs around the country and they couldn't brag enough about their fraud services and that is what they are there for! What a joke!
I have banked with Chase for 15+ years. I have all of my accounts, credit cards and recently did a pre-approval to buy a home with them. I never had a problem (besides my wallet issue) before this. EVER! I have been a loyal customer and this is what I receive from you?!? When I could not be given a clear explanation and after hearing how your company allows managers (who are the voice of your company) speak to their customers, I am ashamed that I was upset about my account being closed. Being a manager myself, I would have terminated that person on the spot! I rather take my business elsewhere. I will report this to BBB. Your company is ###!

mortguage fraud - escrow
In 2012 Chase decided that we needed to have very expensive insurance on a rental home we have in Brownville, Maine and required that we pay over $2000 dollars a year for the previous two years and increased mortgage payments by more than double. The house was only worth $35K and only had $10K left to pay on it but Chase required $250K of insurance.

I clicked on this site for much the same reason as you describe. Mortgage payment to Chase has risen from 1200 to 1777 over the last couple of years. They blame it on escrow and penalties for letting my windstorm insurance lapse. The statement they send is a bunch of gibberish and makes no sense. Calling them is worse.
unfair foreclosure on our home
In Sept.2006 we applied for a loan using equity from our home. This loan went ok. Next we by accident found a house for sale close to ours that we thought would work for our kids coming of age soon. Our son with roommates was to live in the 2nd home and eventually our daughter as well. Kids agreed this would work well. We got the house price down to where...

Chase, as my mortgage company, is the cosigner of the insurance checks I receive from my insurance company following lightening hitting my house. Chase has already concluded the repairs are complete through an inspection and they have had all the required paperwork needed to release money for quite some time. My insurance company continues to slowly release funds and Chase was endorsing the checks and forwarding to me. Now they have decided to open a whole new claim and won't release all of my money. They say they will but it never arrives. I plan on getting a new mortgage with a different company and have cancelled my credit cards with them.

wasting money sending out mailers
You all want to know where these banks are wasting money? Every 3 weeks for the past year, Chase Bank prints up "Time Sensitive Mortgage Notification"s that they send out UPS Next Day Air Saver (which would cost me $40 but I am sure they get a discount). They are trying to get me to refinance my mortgage. I have tried contacting them to get me off the...

Jp morgan chase is the worst company to deal with when you have an insurance claim. Date of my loss was 12/24/12. Insurance company informed me that they had to issue the check for the repairs in the names of my mortgage companies along with myself. My primary mortgage company endorsed the check with no problem, however chase sent me through the ringer. I...
Read full review of JPMorgan Chase and 5 commentscannot use my paycard online
I signed up to have my paychecks deposited on the Chase Paycard. I was assured that it could be used online and that I could pay bills with it. I was even told that my tax return could be deposited on it as well. At first everything was going smoothly and I was able to make online transactions. My tax return and my paychecks have continued to be deposited on the card without issue. Then suddenly I was not able to make any online transactions at all and my rent payment was denied. I called customer service which the site states that they are 24 hours but really there isn't anyone there that can do anything but answer the phone. At first they were blaming it on me, then the retailer but they stopped doing that when I proved that the problem was on their end, now they just kept telling me to call back. So I did and then they repeatedly tell me that they have "escalated the situation" and that I will hear from them in 24 to 48 hours. Meanwhile, I still cannot make any online transactions. It has now been four days and they have not bothered to contact me. Furthermore, when I call they still are telling me that the situation has been escalated and to call back again. Do not trust Chase with your money!

holding funds
Our nightmare with jpmorgan chase loss/draft department began when we needed to remove our contractor on 12/26/12 from the process of the loss/draft and became self-contracting. Terminated contractor due to price gauging of $10, 000+. Updated insurance company and chase loss/draft. Requested a stop payment on 12/26/12 on an auto generated disbursement check of the initial $10, 000 because the terminated contractor's company name was on the check.
To get the ball rolling we needed to submit an insurance adjuster estimate which was not complete due to unknown underlying damage yet to be determined. I submitted invoices for product that was ordered and an invoice for services already performed by the terminated contractor. Requested funds for invoices and terminated contractor to be paid. Letter was faxed from the product company regarding our cabinets and countertops to chase loss draft stating invoices needed to be paid in full before they could be delivered. I also submitted a letter of request for the terminated contractor to be paid. Chase loss/draft called it a deviation request since it was for more than what the normal first disbursement should be.
The stop payment on the original disbursement never happened until 1/14 or 1/18. They removed the stop payment information from the website I can access to follow the loss/draft process so I can't remember exactly the date of final stop payment. When that stop payment went through their system, another auto disbursement check was generated. They needed to stop that check as well. Why would it take a bank two to three weeks to stop a payment on their own check they distributed? I even sent a photocopies on 1/14/13 of the original voided check and photos of the progress we had made using our own money.
At this point we got the insurance company involved because chase was still denying the deviation unless we had a signed insurance letter stating additional information for repair costs. Chase wanted the insurance company to state that they would be receiving a check with additional funds with their name on it to cover the overage amount in the invoices they had received. Because the insurance company fax stated they would send a check for the replacement cost hold back in the amount of xxxx, made payable to my husband and I and chase bank they denied once again after several more days of submitting another deviation request that was "rushed" for the entire amount needed to cover the invoices submitted to deliver and install our cabinets and coutertops. They instead sent a deviation request for a lower amount that only covered the cost of the cabinets.
This did not help. We were still stuck with no cabinets and no countertops and no repairs to continue. 1/3 of my house was under construction and unusable with no kitchen to feed my family. All of this because of the words from the insurance company fax stated "hold back". Chase sees this as a depreciation check that would be released when all repairs are completed. Per the insurance company, it is not a depreciation check. It is a replacement cost hold back check. This has different meaning in the insurance world versus the mortgage world. We were told the check would be overnighted via fedex as of 1/23/13. We finally received the once again incorrect amount needed for repairs on 1/28/13. This was never overnighted.
In the meantime while we waited on the check, we ordered a 50% inspection on 1/24/13 to try and release more funds. The inspector called and we setup an appointment for 2/1/13 in which the inspection was done on 2/1/13. We then get a call from chase on 2/4/13 stating the 90% inspection needs to be done for funds to be released. Why would we get a call stating we needed a 90% inspection? I did not double check that call thinking we would see funds soon. That was a huge mistake. I called on 2/14/13 requesting an update. I found out that chase listed the inspection as a 90% inspection request and was denying once again a deviation request because we were at 80% per the inspection.
So here is why we are currently at 80%, my husband and I took out a personal loan in mid december 2012 in order to pay for repairs to be done because we had a gut feeling we were going to be taken for a ride from the jpmorgan chase's loss/draft department. Trust your instincts people! We now need to either: a = submit another deviation request for final release of funds to complete repairs for the xxxx amount left in the restricted escrow to get to the 90% inspection or b = submit a request for a 90% inspection to see if we are at 90% due to our own funds providing the repairs before they will release the rest of the funds. We are taking option a first and if that fails, we will take option b. If that fails, I guess we will need to talk to a lawyer and go to option c. Option c will require us to dip into our retirement funds.
Through this entire process since day one when I requested what we needed to do with the original cash value check, jpmorgan chase loss/draft department has been the worst ever customer service orientated department to deal with. Every time you call the department, you need to tell the entire story over and over again. You get passed around from one person to the next. There is very little or no accountability for someone to take charge and act as a & ldquo;case worker” for a customer dealing with the loss/draft process. Phone calls sent from the department are sometimes auto generated with updates from the system. Those calls are missed if the auto generated call is picked up. The line may be a voice mail at your work, cell phone or home phone number. If calling a work number, those calls could be going to a 800# or an indirect line to contact you. Not everyone has a direct line. Basically, you missed the call and they think you got it.
To sum up the jpmorgan chase loss/draft department, they lack in customer service, it’s extremely poorly structured, it’s a red tape nightmare, it has a pathetic automated system and unacceptable policy/procedures to follow with most associates seeming like they have total incompetence. I really feel for those people that are dealing with this company and their so called clueless procedures. I want justice done to bring this company into better standing with their customers. They need a serious overhaul to understand their customers they are victimizing due to their incompetence and lack of understanding. It’s time for a lawyer! I can’t wait to get this process over and done with so my family and I can get back to living.
Don't worry Chase loss department is still bad. Their "insuranceclaimcheck.com" gave me multiple options to get my insurance check processed, including uploading the check image; but then a week later they sent an email saying I had not sent my document and requested via emailI mail the *endorsed* check anyway. Their website to-do list showed no request for a hard copy of the check. I then called and they told me that they have no way of processing an uploaded check image so I must mail the *unendorsed* check.
We as consumers have a voice. I have the same ongoing problem with JPMorgan Chase and have recently filed a complaint on this website www.consumerfinance.gov. Please, everyone who is having a problem, file a complaint so the government knows what they are doing to us.
unbelievable management and process time of my deposits and terrible customer service
Oh where to begin... Ive had my chase account for about two months and have had nothing but problems. Started with holding my paychecks and only making a portion available to me. Then I tried their deposit checks by photo method... Big mistake, resulted in an even longer hold and availability of my money. Most recent I deposited 500 in cash to a teller in a chase branch, then wanted to make a payment to my chase slate credit card and was told that the cash money I deposited hadnt processed yet and I wouldnt be able to make the payment untill after 11 pm. So I waited... After 11 pm I once again tried to make a payment at which point I was told the cash deposit wouldnt be processed until 7 am. Why is it that I hand them cash money I then I cant use that money to pay my chase credit card payment. Why does it take almost 24 hrs to process cash deposits so that I can use that money... Hmmm so I guess ill be waiting to make my credit card payment and then I will be closing my account with them on account of the fact that I obviously cant trust the manegmant of my money to this organization. I hope that through the fact that I will give bad reviews and tell everyone I know how terrible my experience has been with jp morgan chase bank that they will lose enough business and customers that they go bankrupt... I wish! To anyone who chooses to bank and use chase bank services... Good luck!

22.5% interest rate in 2010
Back in Oct. 2010, I needed to get a car. I lost my job and went on Social Security Disability. This one Chevy Auto Group said they
would help me with no money down. I was offered a 2009 Chevy Cobalt, but Chase was the only financing co. that take me
at 22.5% interest rate for 5 years. I was backed into a corner, and was told I could refinance in Oct. 2011. Well I got the run around
and tried again in early Dec. 2012 and got this dipsy customer service refi person, I wanted information and spent an hour on
the phone trying to get some. Well because of circumstances, I did not want to refinance over the phone, but she got me all confused and sure enough I was denied! 22.5% interest, especially for Senior Citizen is plain UNJUST! The other problem is the Payoff Balance is more than the car is worth! I tried in the past several months to get a new car, but because of credit score and no money to put down, I was denied, and denied, and denied/ Even today 1/7/13, I was led to believe that this Subaru dealership could help me, but I wasted my time and got denied again.
I was told in 12/12 by a Chase Refi manager to try to get refinanced at a bank, or another dealership, and Chase would not help me in anyway. Idiots! I am sorry I am elderly, and disabled and have a low income. This 2009 Chevy was not the car I wanted,
but Chase Refinance refused to help, as well as every single dealership I went to in the pass 2 years.
DO NOT FINANCE WITH CHASE MORGAN! THEY HAVE NO COMPASSION AND PREY ON THE POOR!
bad service
The state of tn uses this for unemployment. I can see why they are not at all concerned with customer service or support. I have had nothing but problems with the website and getting my unemployment. All forms of contact are automated and prevent you from getting any real service on an issue. Half the time i cant sign in and the other times i call to check on my account i get charged. 25 per call. I hate being unemployed, but the only good thing is realizing i would never do any business with this company. I am only now by means of unemployment. I hope anyone who thinks of doing business with this company or its affiliates reads all the complaints and does business somewhere else. I sure my complaint or issue means nothing and probably wont be answered but it is hopefully advice for someone who may protect themselves.

For such a huge company they can't figure out how to manage it's website! Is this the best they can pay for? There are many persons in this country who could fix the website in a blink and have it running properly, spend the money and hire an IT professional!
Every time I log into my account to check my balance I have to go out to get a special code from my email and put that code in UCARD's website just so I can see my balance, every single time! And yes I have updated and upgraded and have the proper installs on my computer I can open all my other many websites EXCEPT UCARD! There is a problem on their end and they refuse to take responsibility for their actions, it's ever so much easier to insult and blame the customer.
Chase U Card is a joke. The phone for customer service only puts you in a queue that doesn't give an option to talk to a person or address website issues. I originally registered for an on-line account and set up a password. After accepting the initial login credentials, it won't accept them on subsequent attempts. Every time I try to login on line I have to request a new password. I finally got someone on the phone and all she could tell me is that her systems doesn't show any failed login attempts for my account. She said everything looks fine on her end so I must be making a mistake when I'm logging in. I reiterated that I've had to change my credentials every time I log in and she still blamed it on me. I'm am so frustrated with this pathetic company. Who is in charge? What are they doing about it?
the app really sucks I can't log in everytime I try to log in I put my card number in and it gets me to where I have to put my birthday and social security number and I get there and it tells me my social security number is invalid and so is my birthday what am I supposed to do
Their policy and customer service LEGENDARILY HORRIBLE! They allowed a 3rd party to cancel my card and change my address and then charged me for the replacement! They would not email me or mail me verification of the address change that was done without my authorization & to boot "lost" the replacement card in the mail... If you care about your company or your employees just use direct deposit DO NOT DEAL WITH THESE SWINDLERS!
Well the best thing to do is turn it into the BBB in your area. They also screwed me many times. Lets keep this people straight and turn it into your BBB Better Business Bureaus in your area! Looks like a BIG Law Suit Coming UP :)
Texas is using this as well. Most of our welfare money goes to illegal immigrants so they obviously do not care what happens.
HERE IS THE SOLUTION to the problems with uCard:
DISCONTINUE using the website or attempting to call ANY of the numbers
1. open a bank account with a bank of your choice
2. set up direct deposit on your state's employment security website
3. take your Chase uCard into any Chase Bank and get a cash advance for the entire amount on the card.
the first advance should be FREE at any bank then $5 dollars each after that, but just in case, go to a Chase bank if available.
cash advances MAY be FREE unlimited there. (i don't know for sure since i've only done ONE)
4. take the cash and deposit it into your bank account (don't get robbed on the way to your bank).
END OF PROBLEMS WITH THE uCARD.
Worst crap i've ever seen.
Ucard services is the absolute worst thing ever! You can NEVER get a human being on the phone, no matter what keys you press. I was actually able to use their website until about a week ago. For some reason, it decided that the answer to one of my security questions was incorrect, and now it says that my user ID is invalid. It won't let me change my password, or register a new user ID, or access my account. There's no way to reach anyone to fix the issue. My security questions, and their answers have not changed, so the problem clearly resides with the inferior quality of their website, and their absolute lack of customer service. The given phone number brings you to an automated system with no humans and no useful information. If Chase conducts the rest of their banking business in the same manner as Ucard, I'll never willing use them for anything.
Chase U Card is a joke for me as well.I Registered my Snap card and could never re log back in no matter what the site said, andmatter what I try to do.
quickpay
This service is promoted to customers as instant transfers from person to person regardless of the banks. What a sham! I was told the money transfers are instant. I am now on my 3rd day of waiting! I call to question the service and I am told it is taking so long, maybe because of the weekend, maybe because of the amount, the customer service rep. doesn't know why. I am told to wait another day or two! People should be aware of this wait time for funds. There is nothing quick about Quickpay!
lack of help
My husband and bought a house through Chase in 2010, in July 2012 he lost his job. We have 1 income now and it is not enough to pay all the bills. We started the loan modification process. We have received the paperwork and I had questions about some of the areas. I have been trying to contact DANA MACDONALD for a week now. The paperwork has to be in by Nov. 8. I have already informed them that if I do not get someone to assist me by 10 am Monday morning, I am calling a lawyer. I do not have the time nor the patience to put up with a three ring circus. I though maybe I was just being impatient, however reading these comments, I feel I have a right to be upset. Not only did I call Dana, but her supervisor- Meagan Pase, her supervisor, Nadine Songi, her supervisor Larry. I am absolutely fed up. I am calling a lawyer Monday morning is no one calls me and actually HELPS me. It would appear that others are in the same boat, and worse. If you would be interested in a class action lawsuit against CHASE, please email me at [protected]@yahoo.com. No one should have to go through this, especially since they were bailed out with our tax daollars.
Did you get anywhere? Im 130k underwater and Chase says since we can make the payment they wont help us even though we arent gaining ground because of the economy . What terrible is rates are so low and we have great credit theywont mmodify our loan since we make enough. The sad part is we are robbing peter to pay paul. Then we borrow from paul.
deverely limited line of credit
I have had a chase credit card account (5 personal and 2 business lines) for over 20 years with a combined credit of over $100k. On my chase slate credit card personal account, with a limit of just over $73k, I was offered online a 0% balance transfer offer with a 1% tranfer fee. Sounds great right?
Well> when I called to do the transfer (In this case into my checking account to pay other lines of credit - as I have done over the past 8+ years) I was informed that I only had access to 5k for this purpose. What? The online information says 73k was available for transfer!.. The "customer service person" continued with this is the new policy for chase since oct1... Its oct 2. At this point I can safely say chase sucks. I have worked hard on getting my credit scores perfect over the past 25 years and this is the thanks I get for being the responsible adult in the room. Thanks for "nothing".
At this point i'm angry, disappointed and any other negative agitive you want to substitute with chase,
Oh not that this actually matters to anyone else, but being a doctor for 25 years doesn't matter to them either.
Dr. H
I meant SEVERELY...

bad treatment by them
I was late on my bill once in four years. I have been getting calls from [protected], and [protected] every day, twice a day, even on sundays, for the last two weeks now. On 9-26-12, at about 12:30pm, a woman from there called me who was nasty and talked so fast she wouldn’t let me get a word in edgewise. She asked me when I was going to make my next payment and tried to say that my statements from chase had been coming back to them undeliverable, which is not true, and a lie. I’ve gotten every statement chase has ever sent me. Then she’s asking me if my address was valid. Who does this woman think she is to talk to me like that and what’s it to her? Instead of harassing me, why not offer help to someone who can’t pay their bill because of financial difficulties after losing their job, like me? She never once asked if I needed counseling. I contacted jp morgan chase’s executive office in ny executive. [protected]@chase.com, and also deborah walden who is the vice president of card services, and of course I got no response from them. That’s terrible they let this company get away with harassing and treating people like they do.

I keep getting calls from them several times a day. Woman speaking foreign language would not identify who she was with, at least not that I could understand. Couldn't tell why they were calling.
call me 4 times a day or more everyday starting at 8 am - 9 pm answered it once and said hello then they hung up never answered after that every where i look they say its chase but i have never been associated with chase in any way im only 19 and have only had 1 bank account and not with them

Reviews and complaints from employees about working at Chase Bank http://masterjobs.net/chase-bank
How would this account have been opened if you were at work and there was no paperwork? I could understand being at the bank and not being paperwork, but at your place of employment? Even if there was an unexpected charge, you should have been responsible enough to know what you had in your account. Take some personal responsibility for your overdraft, why should the bank just let you spend more than you have without charging a fee for it?
twime you almost have to be apart time lawyer reading and studying any finical contracts along with searching on the web to see about the nature of complaints against a company etc. Business take advantage of people who don't think too much about what they are doing and just act on the "surface" information they give you. Later on you find out the bad details they purposely avoided telling you or made hard for you to find out. Click on my Little Nipper ID and see my newegg reply, they use the half truth/cover up method on their returns shipping policy to stick unwary people with the shipping charges even if the item is defective.
Common sense doesn't really any have Common sense, I agree with twime, twime didn't give enough details to determine whether they are careless spending habits. I understand twime's being upset, I am surprised they haven't run into this sort of deception from more business, a lot of them only tell you half truths or various tricks & distortions to get your money.
Promises do NOT equal contractual obligations. Not that Chase ever abides by their own contracts, either, but never take a "promise" as anything other that '### and lies' used to lure you into using their services. As soon as you give them your money through whatever means, it now belongs to them - period. Look at Bank of Amerika - remember last year in NY where they had a rush on their banks because people wanted to pull their monies from the bank... they had hundreds of patrons arrested by the ever-corrupted NYPD for coming into the bank to request their funds.
What do you expect from these Scrooge people they had a policy in their local banks that Chase is not allowed to display Christmas trees in their lobbies they had to change this policy due to organized public outrage.
