Ordered a bespoke piece of jewelry in November 2010, Promised delivery 5 to 7 weeks, now 16 weeks and still not delivered.
Many silly excuses from hand couriered to Germany and stuck in bad weather conditions, followed by item lost then found but with insurance agent for damage inspection and now stuck in factory on Thai/Cambodia border due to border dispute. Paid by paypal as this is all they will accept. Big mistake as paypal will not take up a dispute after 45days (5 weeks). Have asked for my money to be returned and now they refuse to communicate with me.

No, I have not received my order yet, In-fact since I asked for my money to be refunded they have stopped all communication with me.
I think this is a scam but I am happy to forward all my emails to you so you can make your own mind up as to if this is a scam or not.

This maybe just a temporary problem on their part and the order may arrive, but the lack of communication from them has caused me to distrust their operation, hence the posting on this site.

Totally agree, I am in the same position as you but different excuses.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
Placed jewelry order in June 2010. Paid by paypal. Company has given many reasons for not delivering -- deaths, fires, thefts. In december 2010 showed an image of supposed jewel. One month later still no jewel and they have not responded.

All of the Kaisilver stories sound similar. They have a very detailed website, but aren't good about delivery. They promise 4 -- 6 week delivery, which isn't unreasonable, but by the time you get nervous you're past the 45 day complaint limit for PayPal. They have responded to roughly every other e-mail or query and vary the story enough to keep hope alive. Two weeks ago they said they were shipping the product and gave me a FedEx tracking number, which is not in the FedEx system.
They claim to have a lot of problems, but they don't change their website, product line or delivery claims.
The day after posting the above the tracking # is active and the shipment is on its way, due in 2 days.
Happy Ending! Two days after the tracking number became active, the product arrived safely. It's well-crafted, substantial, just as described. They included a bonus because I had to wait so long. It was 4+ months, not 4-6 weeks, but all's well that ends well. Their replies were a little erratic, but always polite. Hopefully, others with similar delivery complaints will get to a satisfactory resolution.

Just called Paypal to check on these guys. Paypal said to stay away. You don't have to take my word for it-just call Paypal.
