On 7/4/21, I signed a contract to retain the Law Offices of Kanner & Pintaluga, P.A. to represent me in a claim for personal injuries and damages arising out of an automobile accident that occurred on 6/20/2021. I was sent to Absolute Injury & Pain Physicians for therapy & treatment immediately. I was told that things were going well by the attorney and his legal assistant since this case was open and that all medical bills were being paid by the law firm. I had no idea that this was untrue or that the case was about to be abandoned (11 months later) by the law firm. In fact, I completed therapy on 10/25/2021, however, I received a call May 4, 2022, informing me that the law firm will no longer be representing me. Additionally, I received a bill from Absolute Injury & Pain Physicians demanding payment of $5,412.46. After reviewing the contract I signed, there is no statement that address the "termination of a contract" or payment of outstanding medical bills, however, the contract does address consequences if I terminate the contract.
Desired outcome: Pay medical bill of $5,412.46, to (Absolute Injury & Pain Physicians) for therapy/treatment).
