We were having difficulty finding a part for our Kia. All the local parts houses had the wrong part. We called Kia Depot AKA kiacarparts.net. They have a listing in our local yellow pages. Kia Depot assured us since they are a dealer they could get the correct part based on our VIN. We ordered the part. It was wrong. The same thing everyone else was trying to sell us. Kia depot refused to pay return shipping, nor did they credit my card the full amount charged. I took my car to a local Kia dealer for service since we could't get the part. The local dealer had to order the part as well and also got the wrong part. Kia has a part number error on my vehicle in reference to my part. I don't see why I should have to pay for someone elses mistake. Is this what this country is being reduced to? Where is the accountability. I can understand a mistake happening but the dealer should stand behind thier word. Kia Depot AKA kiacarparts.net clearly has no credibility.
I just wanted to state that Matt contacted me via e-mail and a phone call. I had never heard of him either, until his post. I just forwarded them the link to my complaint through thier contact us page so someone could be aware of whats going on. Matt was able to get everything straightened out for me and I was issued a full refund. I consider this complaint to be fully satisfied at this time. Matt was able to get some information from me to forward to Kia, in an effort to prevent this incident from recurring. This post could have been avoided, except for the fact that when we called to get an RMA and a call tag to return the part, we were told the manager would have call us back. The man that called back, who we assumed to be the manager, stated that he would not issue a call tag.
Bottom line, Matt came through, so Kia Depot AKA kiacarparts.net does have credibility.
Thank You Matt for your assistence.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
Hello Ken and fellow readers, My name is Matt, I am the Kia Team Leader for The Kia Depot and kiacarparts.net.
First off I was surprised to see this post as I have never heard of or spoken to the person responsible for this post.
I had to go through my customer database to find this customer so I could contact him to try and clarify the issue, however after a pretty thorough search I cannot find this customer in my system, (name recieved from the email he sent with a link to this posting.) Ken, if you get this response please contact me at The Kia Depot so this issue can be put to rest. As the manager for Kia Parts here I would appreciate contact with me before a post like this might be initiated. I believe that would be common courtesy. I am very friendly and very customer service oriented.
Sincerley,
Matt K.
