I paid Kilmer Press $870 to republish my book under my name after I had self-published it through WestBow. Kilmer Press promised to advertise my book to traditional publishers with an all-but guarantee of securing a publishing contract. What it did in that regard I have no idea--information in response to my email inquiries was obscure. Then I ordered 50 copies of my book to distribute, paying $239. They never arrived. Kilmer's website boasts an A+ from the Better Business Bureau, but BBB informed me that that was bogus. I complained to the Attorney General, my state's senator, and PayPal, but although they put pressure on Kilmer to at least send my books, they were unsuccessful. I physically went to the address listed on the Web for my "agent," only to find that the address did not exist. Stay away from Kilmer Press! They are just one more of the many scammers of authors. My advice to all authors who want to publish is to never self-publish. Ever since my book came out through WestBow, a week has not passed without someone trying to get money from me to republish, rebrand, or to pay for wild marketing schemes.

Desired outcome: To help others avoid being robbed of their money just because they want to publish their books.
