We bought our male boxer pup from Landos Boxers in Lindsay, Ontario.
Linda, the breeder, had mentioned we were under contract to have our boy neutered before he reached a certain age.
We abided by every condition under her contract and had him neutered well within the timeline.
As directed by Linda, we mailed her proof that this was completed which was sent to her.
After mailing her the documentation, emailing, calling and leaving messages, we never once got one reply!
Over the course of multiple months, this continued with no resolve.
It has now been 8 years and we have never received our CKC papers on our boy.
We paid for this and never received what we paid for under her contract. As far as I'm concerned, the only thing she was concerned about was making sure that we were not breeding him for profit.
Countless attempts were made to contact her with no replies.
The only time I ever got a reply was asking when the next litter was for my sister to potentially get a pup too. She was all replies then when it came to new money. When I asked about our CKC papers we paid for, again, no reply!
I wanted to post this since I was reading other comments that had similar experiences from this breeder not sending papers once proof was sent. She cannot say I didn't send them either, because I also emailed copies of our vet paperwork to prove we actually had it!
She never ever responded to me and till this day, we can't believe we never got his paperwork
(CKC Papers)
In addition, we went to pick our puppy up, she failed to mention until we got there that he had a large spot on top of his head where no hair was. She mentioned he could have banged it off the crate and it would go away in time. As he grew over the next few months, so did the bald lump on his head. When we brought him to our vet to be neutered as per contract, he had to have surgery at an extra cost to us which turned out to be a large pocket of ingrown hairs that became painful and infected.
He lost half of his cute wrinkles due to the fact they had to pull the skin so tight together to stitch the large mass that was removed.
We mentioned this to her since she said, oh that will go away, but didn't seem to care when I told her the added vet costs for removal.
It's a real shame because in my opinion, she had some of the best looking Boxers around. Just terrible business practices along with zero customer service, care or communication.
Buyer beware!
Desired outcome: We would still like to receive our CKC papers
