Law Offices of Matthew Baysinger review: Matthew C. Baysinger Law Firm

Let me first start by saying AC Green should be ashamed of himself. He has single-handedly ushered many people into foreclosure by encouraging them to reach out the Mathew C. Baysinger law firm. He, AC Green, used his own story of foreclosure as a testament to how great the firm was in helping him stay in his home and get his mortgage modified. After hearing the commercial about 20 times in an hour or so, I decided to reach out to them. By the way, I’ve only ever heard these commercials played on radio and tv stations targeted at black people.

I reached out to the firm to assist me in getting a modification after losing my job and then Covid shut the world down. The only thing this firm did was help me spend my money paying them to do absolutely nothing. Well, they did get my mortgage modified to the tune of a $1200 increase. Understand, I lost my job a month after purchasing my home, then the bottom fell out because of COVID. This was my first home so a lot of things I didn’t know. I tried working with the mortgage company but they wouldn’t allow me to modify my mortgage using unemployment so I reached out to people who claimed to be experts and miracle workers. They were neither experts nor miracle workers. But they are magicians and scam artists who prey on the desperation and vulnerabilities of black people simply wanting an affordable and manageable mortgage.

There are so many things wrong with this firm. You never talk to an attorney, NEVER! You only ever talk to a legal assistant who ‘manages you’ and makes you feel like they’re working on your behalf, believe me, they are not. Everything they tell you is fluff. Ask for the contents of your file and you’ll see for yourself. They manufacture notes to justify the obscene amount of money you donate to them because no real work is being done. They drag their feet to prolong the inevitable, foreclosure, which at that point, if you fall into foreclosure, there’s additional $I500 dollars for them to represent you, and the $295.00 monthly maintenance fee. This is nothing more than a money grab for them. Granted, I was in a bad position when I initially reached out to them, but left in a far worse position. They use scare tactics to get you to stay on with the firm claiming to offer protection from the mortgage companies, but who protects you from them?

After 15 months of ‘service’ and $6,495 and nothing to show for it, I finally ended the relationship. This after they came back with a new mortgage of $3200. They tried to tell me I was so far behind when I joined, but they knew my situation as it was discussed at the intake performed by one of the six assistants I worked with over the span of my 15 month tenure with them, but clearly they must’ve forgotten the lie they told about AC Green being $90k behind (which I was not that far behind), and they were able to help him keep his home and get a modification. LIES. They expertly manage to kick the can down the street and play hot potato with your life, all under the guise of assisting you.

AND, finally, to add insult to injury, the office manager, not an attorney stated, if I wanted to sell because I couldn’t afford the new mortgage, I could do a deed in lieu or sell the home and the office could refer me to someone. Huh? How is this not a conflict of interest? Then it dawned on me, of course this firm and the lenders are in bed together. This firm is nothing more than foreclosure scavengers.

How this man is still allowed to practice law, because that’s what he’s doing,(practicing because no real legal representation is taking place), is beyond me. Unfortunately,, for me, I found out about this unethical, predatory, scamming firm too late; however, I have made it my mission to look into filing a class action lawsuit against him and AC Green.

I encourage anyone who has ever dealt with this firm to file a claim with the ARDC. I’m getting my money back because clearly I’ll need it to move.
