We purchased an awning for our backyard area. At first the salesman told us the company didn't sell stationary awnings only retractable. When the person came to mesaure the awning, he sais "he would be our best friend if we intalled a retractable awning. Based on his recommendation, we purchase a fixed awning. The order was placed in February, 2010. It was installed in March, 2010. It took longer than the sales person said it would take to complete the install. It has leaked from day one. We can not leave our back door with out getting wet when raining. We have made several attempts to resolve this issue with liberty with no resoultion. I would like them toe either fix my awning or refund my money and repair the house. We have sent several e-mails, phone call with no fix in sight. Liberty Home Products has done nothing to resolve this issue, only promises the they are a good company with a BBB A+ rating. As far as I am concerned, this company is a rip off. When it was first brought to their attention, I was told by Kit "this is a patio cover not an awning". If you check theie web sight, there is no mention of a patio cover. I just want my awning not to leak whan it rains, simple I would think. So far they have refused to answer our last e-mail. It is over 60 day since it was billed so I can't challange my credit card. Am I screwed or what?
