We have a bird Aviary at our, skilled nursing facility, The Emerald's at Grand Rapids. I have contacted them about the service they are suppose too provided to our facility. I requested documentation from the last time they were at our facility. Which was May 24,2022 and they continue to bill us $123.98 a month for the Aviary Maintenance which is listed on the invoice. They have emailed and said the shortage of employee's etc has cause a bit of a delay. We are sitting in November of 2022 and they have not been in the facility to maintain our Bird Aviary since May 24,2022. Even being shorthanded I would think that someone should be available to complete this monthly service as that is what we are being charged for. This is completely unprofessional and they have not fulfilled the management agreement that they have sent.
I am hoping that this can be looked into, how many other facilities has this happened to.
Best Regards,

We too have called the company left messages since no one has been out to help with the birds. We have at least 40 birds in the aviary. They wanted to tell us how to care for it. I emailed with the person below and she does not even care we have too many birds. She sent us a release that we can "give some away" and then wants our staff to take care of them. All while paying them a fee.

Hello,
I am so sorry to hear about your birds and aviary. I'm interested in knowing where you're located, if you could please contact me at [protected]. Thank you
I understand frustration with Living Design, as we've felt it as well but from a very different place. The management of Living Design did not allow the customer service staff to do their jobs. They were not able to tell their customers when the owner announced the closing of the business, nor help any of the customers find alternate solutions, of which there were several. Catie Clinton is a good person who was put into an untenable position by owners who did not care anymore once they decided to close. I saw her frustration daily as she struggled to deal situations she was not allowed to handle.
I wish you the best in finding solutions.
Barbara Clinton - yes, Catie's mother.
By pure chance, I came into the possession of an aviary from one of the local care facilities with its ~11 finches and one diamond dove, in Oct 2023. I’ve been trying to find out what happened to the company since finding this thread, but haven’t had any luck and all the domains are now defunct.
Would you be able to tell me what happened to all the animals in their care at the onset of the company’s termination? I hope they all found good homes.
I hope all the birds were placed in good homes. Or, at least given to other companies who do what they did. I was a tech 20 years ago there. I truly liked the job... But the owner was a bit, well. Let's just say, I liked the job not so much her. Anyway. Great idea. Great look. Enjoyed the birds and residents. That's about it.
