LKQ LKQ Scam Alert: Manager and Ashly are Liars, Don't Waste Your Time and Money

is a joke, and Ashly is a liar. Don't waste your time and money with LKQ.

We recently bought an engine from LKQ under warranty. Ashly was the one who helped us out, and she seemed nice enough during the purchasing process. However, things quickly went downhill after that. We asked her to email us the purchasing receipts, but she refused to do so. We kept calling them, but it took us a whole month to finally get a hold of her. When we received the email, we found out that she had sent us a different engine than the one we had purchased. We had proof of her email, but it didn't seem to matter.

I called her multiple times, but it took a while before I finally got a chance to talk to her. She told me that they had to send us the best option they had, even if it wasn't the one we had purchased. I was shocked by her response. They ended up sending us a 2011 engine with very high mileage on it. It was a complete rip-off. The manager was rude, and they never responded to our calls for three weeks. Finally, my car stopped in the middle of the highway. When we contacted the team, they left us a message saying that our warranty had been denied. The manager neglected our concerns and refused to talk to us.

Now, we're having to deal with lawyers to sort out the mess that LKQ has caused us. It has caused us a lot of mental and financial damage. We would strongly recommend that you avoid these scammers. The manager is a joke, and Ashly is a liar. Don't waste your time and money with LKQ.

LKQ Poor Customer Service Experience with LKQ: Wrong Part and Rude Representative

So, I had an experience with LKQ that I want to share with you all. I talked to a really nice salesperson on the phone who helped me find the part I needed for my car. However, when I got to the store, I found out that I had ordered the wrong part. I tried to explain to the customer service representative that I had gone through all the details to make sure I got the right part, but he just kept interrupting me and telling me I was wrong. He even treated me like I was stupid, which was really frustrating. I've worked with customers for over 50 years, and I've never been treated like that before.

I asked the representative to send me a return shipping label because the part I received was not the right one for my car. He agreed to do that, but when I asked if they could pick it up from my house because I'm handicapped, he refused. I asked to speak to his supervisor, but he just hung up on me. It was a really bad experience, and I wouldn't recommend doing business with LKQ.

If you need car parts, I suggest looking for a small local yard instead. They might not have as many options as LKQ, but at least you'll be treated with respect.

LKQ Warning: Stay Away from LKQ - Terrible Experience with Engine Delivery and Quality

I gotta say, I don't usually write bad reviews. I mean, who's got the time for that negativity, am I right? But I gotta warn y'all about LKQ. I work at a shop as a service writer, and let me tell you, we had a nightmare of an experience with these guys. Our master technician usually suggests Reman engines, but the customer didn't wanna pay for that, so we went with LKQ. Big mistake.

First off, it took them a whole dang week to deliver the first engine. When it finally arrived, we found a crack in the oil pan. Like, seriously? Was it like that before or did they do that during delivery? Either way, it was unacceptable. So they had another engine in stock with lower miles, but they didn't bother telling us about it until we complained. They sent us that one, and guess what? It had a busted valve cover. Like, come on, LKQ, get your act together.

We sent that engine back too, and now we're still waiting on the refund. They're in no hurry to give us our money back, let me tell you. And that's not even the worst of it. We ordered another engine that they failed to deliver on time. We don't wanna waste any more time inspecting their crap engines, so we asked for a refund for the undelivered engine. Still waiting on that too.

I'm at my wits' end with these guys. Nobody with half a brain should ever use LKQ. They might have been good in the past, but now all they do is take junk out and sell it without even looking at it. It's not about quality, it's about scamming you out of your hard-earned money. If I could give them negative stars, I would. Stay far, far away from LKQ, folks.

LKQ Review of LKQ Yard in Tampa: A Third-World Experience with Invasive Security Measures

I recently visited an LKQ yard in Tampa, and I have to say, it was quite an experience. First off, when I walked in, I was greeted in Spanish, which was a bit confusing, but I guess it's to be expected in Florida. The office area was a bit disorganized, and it took me a while to figure out where to go. Eventually, I found out that one section of the office area is used for people coming in to pay $3. I was a bit surprised by this, but I guess it's a small price to pay for the chance to find the part you need.

One thing to keep in mind is that you need to keep your receipt. If your hand stamp comes off, you'll be kicked out if you don't have your receipt. They quickly checked my tool bags, which I understand is necessary to prevent theft, but it was a bit invasive. They found a 3-inch steel bracket in my bag, which I had used in the past for lifting up an engine. They claimed it was theirs and started trying to take my tools as well. I had to explain to them that the steel bracket was mine, and the tools were mine as well. They explained to me that they have theft problems, which I understand, but it was still a bit frustrating.

I did eventually find the part I was looking for and came back to the office to pay for it. They searched my tool bag again and found the 3-inch steel piece, but I was able to convince them that it was mine. It's a bit frustrating that everyone is considered a thief until proven otherwise, but I guess it's necessary in this kind of environment. I was the only white person in there, and it seemed like most of the employees were foreign-born with broken English. I guess they experience high rates of crime in their culture, which is why they're so cautious.

Overall, it was a bit of a third-world environment, which was a bit surprising since I've dealt with LKQ stores in Crystal River and Gainesville, which were much more organized and professional. If you're planning on visiting this LKQ yard, make sure your tools are engraved with your name and anything else in it. It's a small price to pay for the chance to find the part you need.

LKQ LKQ Review: Don't Be Fooled by Their "History" and "Warranty" - Just Another Scrap Yard

So, let me tell you about LKQ. They're a company that buys wrecked vehicles from insurance companies and other sources at a huge discount. They claim to provide a "history" of the vehicle for the part you're purchasing, but let me tell you, it's all just a bunch of nonsense. I've dealt with this company personally and I can tell you that their "history" is just a way to make you feel better about buying a used part that they know nothing about.

Their prices are much higher than other salvage companies because they claim to be a "reputable company," but in reality, there's no difference between them and any other scrap yard in America. They simply disassemble vehicles and offer a six month "warranty" that costs them absolutely nothing. If you need to use their "warranty," they'll send you another untested, mystery part and put the burden of installation on you.

I made the mistake of purchasing a $3,500 used engine from them and paying $3,000 to have it installed. It turned out to be completely useless with no oil pressure at all. LKQ spent a week delaying to send a "warranty" tech to review the Certified Jeep Master Technicians work on the install. When they finally did, they found that the engine was completely blown. Their solution? To send me another crappy, unreliable engine that they have no clue about, and I'll have to pay for another engine install at my preferred garage.

The bottom line is that LKQ is just another scrap yard that provides used parts. Don't be fooled by their inflated prices and "warranty." It costs them nothing and they put the entire burden on you. I'm not rich, so I'll never deal with this company again. I'll simply go to my local scrap yard and purchase at a much lower price.

In conclusion, if you're looking for a reliable used part, don't waste your time with LKQ. They're just another company trying to make a quick buck off of unsuspecting customers. Save yourself the headache and go to a local scrap yard instead.

LKQ Disappointing Experience with LKQ: Rude Customer Service and Lack of Documentation

I gotta say, I was pretty disappointed with LKQ. Like, if there was a way to give them negative stars, I totally would. I was in the market for a used engine for my Hyundai Sonata, and I did a ton of research on LKQ's recycled Hyundai engines. I even printed out a list of all the used engine assemblies (2.4L) from their national website, just to make sure I had all my ducks in a row.

So, my mechanics called up the local LKQ operation in Ft-Worth Texas on the morning of 10/10/2017 to order the engine we needed. But when they went to look it up on LKQ's national website, it wasn't there. Like, what the heck, man? I'm about to drop $2000 on this thing, I wanna make sure everything's legit.

So, I sent a quick message asking why the engine wasn't showing up on their website like all the others. And to their credit, someone from LKQ called me back pretty quickly (from a number that ended in 494). But that's where the good news ends.

This woman who called me back was the rudest, most unhelpful representative I've ever dealt with. She was super impatient, didn't listen to anything I said, and refused to give me any information about the engine we ordered. I even tried to give her the part number so she could check it out, but she just shut me down.

I mean, seriously, why would LKQ hire someone like this? She clearly has no people skills, no communication skills, and no training whatsoever. It's like they just threw her into the deep end and hoped she'd swim.

Anyway, the engine did eventually show up the next day, but it didn't come with any paperwork documenting the mileage or anything. So my mechanics sent it back and we're still waiting for the proper paperwork.

All in all, I wouldn't recommend LKQ to anyone. They might have the parts you need, but their customer service is a total joke.

LKQ Disappointing Experience with LKQ: Nightmare Crate Motor and Poor Customer Service

I gotta say, I'm pretty disappointed with LKQ. I wish I had read some reviews before I made my purchase, but unfortunately I didn't. I bought a new crate motor from Summit and they recommended LKQ. I figured if Summit trusts them, they must be good, right? Boy was I wrong.

It's been three months now and my truck is still sitting at my mechanic's shop. They're a five-star shop and usually turn vehicles around pretty quickly, but this motor has been a nightmare. It was supposed to be "turn key ready," but it came with the distributor timing 180 degrees off and had major squeaking. I had to leave literally 1000 messages to get them to have us redo the work. They asked the shop to pull the transmission and shave tabs off the new block, but it still squeaks. It's been a frustrating three months, paying for a truck that's just sitting there with a motor that has a two-year warranty.

I've been waiting for weeks now for them to pick up the motor, but they never do. I've called and left voicemails, talked to customer service, and been transferred five times before I threatened to report them for fraud. Finally, someone helped me, but they didn't know any information and I had to give them all my purchase info just to get their claim number. It was a mess.

I don't know how they stay in business. They're only in business because larger companies sell their products. I would have NEVER bought from them if I had read some reviews. I left Summit a bad review for even using this company, and they're a good company. I hope everyone else who's had a bad experience with LKQ gets their money back or argues with their credit card company. I have a feeling I'll be rebuilding my old motor and wasting over four months of my time. Good luck, everyone.

LKQ Terrible Experience with LKQ Baltimore: Lies, Theft, and Disrespect

I had a really bad experience with LKQ. I was lied to, stolen from, and then treated like crap because it was raining all day and I had an umbrella over my door and I'm traveling in a junkie old truck. I felt like I was absolutely wrong for being lied to, stolen from, and finally disrespected. However, I have to say that I have met some really great hard-working people at the yards.

My approach is to hit one area at a time, take my time walking the yard, walk around, and then let uncles know what is really going on. People get all bit hurt when their crew messes up and it ultimately shows poor management. When the boss is away, the employees play. Except since most of them are illegal, you must understand one thing. Cheap but costly labor to the company as a hole.

I sent two emails today, but I got nothing in return from the yard to correct the issue. I had to actually waste an entire day to get my stolen items back from an employee, which I caught by chance. I asked who updated the site, but not one person could answer, including the main staff.

I liked the manager, but he lost two sales worth 600 plus an additional 599 total cost for all the misc stuff that I would have got if I could have got to it. It wasn't worth it to tear off a bed that most likely get damaged cause the toughest item they have is an engine hoist. But keep it real, if you can not fit it in there, then guess what? You can't get it right.

This is done why? I mean, they really need to get spanked over this $#*!. Really, who the heck lets their employees steal from someone and know about it? I guess if you set the example of a thief, then you will keep getting bad reviews. I would be on the job, and so would my employees. Not sitting around all day letting bad things happen to potential customers. Joe would not have let this happen.

After that loss, everything became a big $#*! pile, just people sucking a paycheck like LKQ Baltimore is the welfare office. I guess to them it is. The example is to sit on your [censored]; the customers are not important. Do what you want, rob whoever you can. The more stuff stolen, I guess the bigger the boss's toolbox is.

I lost a full day over my $#*! being stolen by them, then had to go by more tools to go back, and they won't even move a car over so a person can get the part out. Worst so far, absolutely the worst.

LKQ LKQ's Poor Customer Service and Faulty Engine Warranty Policy

I gotta say, I've had some good experiences with LKQ. The folks I talked to on the phone were nice and professional. But man, the rest of this process has been a real pain in the you-know-what.

Here's the deal: I got a replacement engine from LKQ and sent my old one back to them to get my core deposit. That was a month ago, and I still haven't seen my deposit. I've called them three times to ask about it, but they won't give me a straight answer. It seems pretty shady to me.

The person I've been dealing with won't communicate via email, and I can only get callbacks from them. That's a real pain when I'm working during the day and can't always answer the phone. It's making it really hard to get anything done with my claim. I think they don't want to use email because then there would be a paper trail that could be used against them.

To make matters worse, the engine they sent me had a cylinder with bad timing. I'm not an engine expert, but multiple mechanics have told me that this is definitely LKQ's fault and it could have been prevented. It's not a good look for their remanufacturing and quality control process. I would expect them to apologize and do whatever they could to make it right.

Instead, they're only willing to pay for part of the labor cost for the replacement repair. I know that's their standard warranty policy, but I think it's wrong to send a customer a faulty product and then expect them to pay for the manufacturer's mistake. Who would want to do business with a company like that?

Yesterday, I got a call from them saying they might honor the warranty, but only if I send the faulty engine back to them. They won't accept the diagnosis from the two mechanics I paid to look at it. That means my mechanic has to take out the engine, pack it up, and ship it to LKQ. Then they'll inspect it and maybe send me a replacement. But I don't trust them to be honest about their diagnosis. They could easily say it wasn't their fault and leave me even more screwed than I already am.

The whole process is going to take another four weeks. My mechanic says the industry standard is to ship a replacement engine and do the repair, then send the old engine back. Doing it the way LKQ wants is more complicated, more labor-intensive, and more prone to errors. My mechanic refused to do it that way.

Honestly, I'd be thrilled if LKQ would just pay for the repair, give me my core deposit, and send me a replacement engine in a reasonable amount of time.

My wife and I have two kids, and we've been sharing one car for almost four months now. It's been a real hardship. I know there are things I could have done differently to speed up the process, but at the end of the day, I'm the one who ordered a bad engine. LKQ's mistake has cost me a lot of money and time, and I still have their faulty engine in my truck.

LKQ Ordered a part that was discussed, rear knuckle for my vehicle

Ordered a part that was discussed, rear knuckle for my vehicle. I was instructed that the part will be ready for Friday so the work could be done on the weekend by my personal mechanic. But i had to pay for it before hand per advised on every auto parts dealer. I received a phone call stating that, " you'll have to wait until we get another part." I then stated that i want my money back and he said i will have to wait on that as well. I had payed for the part and was ensured by the employee that i will have it in good condition and in hand Friday afternoon after it was picked up, now i am out 155$, terrible service and another 3 days of no vehicle because it was not checked to see if the part in their inventory was satisfactory enough to sell. After waiting 2 days to hear back on anything, this is what i am left with. Insulted to say the least, will not be a returning customer for sure and I have a lot of friends who need parts consistently.

LKQ sold me a rebuilt engine with a 12/12 warranty. During that 12 mo. warranty the engine had to be REPLACED 3 times..always the same problem of bank 5 misfire. Now this engine has failed also. LKQ sent me 3 defective engines and now they wont replace this engine because 12 mo. have passed. All things considered, including many weeks of being stranded, i would like to believe the company would show some decency and either refund my money or replace this engine also. But i realize they are just another greedy, shady company that sells defective products and hides behind their lawyers and have no morals.Word of advice...DO NOT DO BUISNESS WITH LKQ.

CUSTOMER SERVICE IS NOT A PRIORITY - I order thousands of parts and pieces (literally THOUSANDS) for my customers every week. Ordered a hard-to-find part using the specified part number and they sent me something else. Then when trying to return it, they blamed me for "ordering incorrectly". I will never do business with them again and will let all of my customers know to do the same.

Was sold a Focus DCT6. It was sold missing the *** We are a high volume center, and it was received and not checked. When we gave LKQ the opportunity to make it right, we were met with a less than helpful staff that now will refuse to communicate or help in any way. I have had bad interactions with this company before, but I gave them another chance. As a rule, we never use used parts to start with, but there are some situations where we need to do that for a customer. This is one transaction I wish I could just take back! We will lose the cost of the transmission and the time spent.

ALERT ALERT LKQ PICK A PART IN WHAT happened to me? They sold me a part for my car that did not fit, so I decided to return it. However, the manager in charge on September 9 handed me the receipt of purchase and failed to mention that I had paid for a warranty for the parts I acquired. On September 10, I went back and encountered the same situation. That is why I feel compelled to issue a public warning, especially when the management is not reasonable and polite.

LKQ They are not what they say they are

They are not what they say they are. They do not pay for what they say they will. They take a long time to return your phone calls. My husband is a disable Veteran, we are on a fixed income. We feel like they have taken advantage of us. They only want to pay for 50.00$ an hour labor. When actually the going rate is 80.00$ An hour. They make you pay the whole *** them they will reimburse you what they want. We bought a brand new engine for them, have had nothing but issues with it. The mechanic say they should replace the engine. But they will not do that. we have to replace the head first when that does not work then we will have to pay again for labor. DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE! They are crooks. Save yourself a lot stress. They have cause us a lot of stress as we do not have the money to pay, so now we have to figure out where the money is going to come from. My husband as I said is a disable Veteran and can not work. They really s*** people over!

On July 20th, 2022, I visited LKQ, paid my $3 entry fee, and proceeded to find the auto parts I needed. As I was leaving, I made it clear that the tire attached to the rim I had selected was dry rotted and not of saleable quality, so it should not be charged as a functional tire. The staff member inspecting my items concurred. However, a very arrogant manager suddenly intervened, asserting his authority and loudly proclaiming that no one but him could make decisions regarding charges. He raised his voice not only to the staff behind the counter but also to me, the customer, which led to a heated exchange of words. This confrontation unfolded in front of other customers who were waiting to see the outcome. The behavior of this manager was completely unnecessary and unprofessional, reflecting poorly on the establishment. I hope this feedback reaches the higher echelons of LKQ management so that they can address the issue and guide this individual on proper managerial conduct. It was entirely inappropriate for him to display such anger and rudeness towards everyone, including customers. LKQ, this incident was a disgrace. If I could, I would give a rating of zero, but that option is not available.

The customer service experience was subpar regardless of the representative I interacted with. They sold me a transmission for my Elantra, which I had installed at a dealership for $1,200 in labor costs. Unfortunately, the transmission had a significant leak. When I contacted LKQ, they assured me that I could file a warranty claim and would be reimbursed for the installation costs of a replacement transmission. I had also purchased a labor warranty for $134 for additional security in case of issues. However, when the replacement transmission also leaked, I reviewed the labor warranty terms and found they only covered $50 per hour of labor. Considering the dealership's rate is $149 per hour, this was disappointing. For the second installation, which cost me $1,017, they issued me a check for $295, based on 5.9 hours of labor at their rate. This left me with over $700 in expenses for the second installation due to their initial oversight of providing a faulty transmission. After attempting to resolve this through various managers, I was met with indifference and scripted responses, often being hung up on after they finished their spiel. It's disheartening to witness such poor business practices. I would have accepted this as an expensive lesson had they not provided a defective transmission and then failed to make amends.

LKQ LKQ's monopoly on local junkyards led to a price hike and poor service quality in the area.

Since LKQ acquired numerous family-owned and small junkyards, they've increased the entry fee to $3, eliminated discount sale days and the loyalty point system. Their prices are steep and unjustified. The yards' cleanliness is questionable, unlikely to meet environmental standards due to excessive oil spills. Additionally, the staff's attitude and knowledge are lacking, and their warranty program is enforced inconsistently, with customers needing to opt out to avoid charges. Ironically, they use a primitive system for inventory tracking, requiring customers to note down car sticker numbers for parts removed. Failure to comply led to a refusal of service at Monrovia junkyard. This method is ineffective for inventory management, as many parts get damaged by careless customers. In protest, I plan to provide incorrect inventory numbers in the future.

Paid for a new engine and they sent me the wrong one ( wasn't even close) and expected us to pay more for the new engine even though we already paid for the engine. Their argument was that the engine we got was worth less than the one we were meant to get. But we paid for the superior engine already. What a joke

I WILL NEVER USE LKQ FOR ANYTHING EVER AGAIN. I HAVE HAD 3 LKQ REMANUFACTURED ENGINES IN MY 2009 RAM IN A SPAN OF LESS THAN 4 YEARS NEEDING A 4TH DUE TO NUMBER 3 ALSO FAILING WITH AROUND 20,000 MILES ON IT AT TIME OF FAILURE. FROM THE MOMENT I PICKED MY TRUCK WITH THIS ENGINE, I MENTIONED THE LIFTER TICK TO WHICH LKQ STATED WAS NORMAL MULTIPLE TIMES OVER A FEW MONTHS. HOW DID IT END UP YOU ASK? LKQ FINALLY MADE ENOUGH EXCUSES TO PUSH THIS ENGINE PAST THE 3 YEAR WARRANTY COVERAGE BASED OFF THE FIRST REPLACEMENT ENGINE. THEN THEY WASHED THEIR HANDS OF IT LEAVING ME TO FINANCIALLY DEAL WITH THEIR INABILITY TO PROVIDE QUALITY PRODUCTS.

How does the Complaintsboard.com give this company A= rating when it has only one out of 5 stars in actual reviews? This company has not been dependable in quality of parts, accuracy of parts ordered, and up to 2 days late in delivery to my business causing friction with my customers and times commiting. When I talked to the LKQ representative he advised me to buy from another company. I do now. Their elite company for programming had a large increase in fees a couple months ago and today another 20 percent increase. They are very hard to continue a value to do business this way.A business owner in ***.

LKQ LKQ totally Ripped Me Off with an $8700.00 Engine purchase

LKQ totally Ripped Me Off with an $8700.00 Engine purchase. I chose an Engine with the least amount of mileage that they had to offer. The Engine was not in Mechanical operating condition, I spent over $10,000 additional dollars with the installation and repair of the engine in a *** Dealership. The initial problem was a Bad Timing Chain Tensioner, which was repaired, after driving the vehicle for less than 3 weeks the engine developed another serious knocking condition at that point it was quoted for another 26 hours of labor just to remove and diagnose the problem. After LKQ's warranty department investigated and took an oil sample, they are blaming *** Service for a bad installation. Never do business with LKQ! NEVER! Their warranty Manager *** is unethical and found a loophole to S this customer and voided my warranty. I am beginning the process of litigation and filing complaints with the Complaintsboard.com, *** and ***. They are the WORST!

They are not what they claim to be. They fail to cover the costs they promise to. Responses to phone calls are delayed. My husband is a disabled veteran, and we rely on a fixed income. We feel exploited by their actions. They are willing to cover only $50.00 per hour for labor, whereas the standard rate is $80.00 per hour. They require upfront payment and later reimburse an amount of their choosing. We purchased a brand new engine on their behalf, which has been problematic. The mechanic suggests they should replace the engine, yet they refuse. Instead, they insist we first replace the cylinder head, and if that fails, we'll be charged again for additional labor. I strongly advise against engaging with these individuals. They are dishonest. Avoid the unnecessary stress they bring. Their actions have caused us significant anxiety, as we struggle to find the funds to cover these expenses. As previously mentioned, my husband is a disabled veteran unable to work, and we have been treated unfairly by them.

Ordered a part, went to pick it up, and it wasn't even the right part, nor was it for my model car! I was told my refund would be sent back to my card within a certain number of business days depending on the card issuer. Bank of America doesn't take more than five days to refund if it was processing. A whole week goes by, and I still don't have my money, so I call to inquire about the delay. Another representative informed me that they simply hadn't clicked the button on the computer to release my funds back to me for the refund! This is a terrible company; I was a first-time buyer and will definitely not be returning. As of today, a week into waiting for my refund, I'm told I have to wait an additional number of days just because they failed to do their job correctly. This is a zero-star experience; don't be fooled by the mandatory one star.

I ordered the correct transmission from LKQ. However, the transmission that was delivered did not match the one I had ordered. I immediately contacted customer service to inform them of the issue and to discuss options for a replacement or a refund. They informed me that the transmission had to be returned first before they could issue a refund. They promised to provide me with a Bill of Lading to return the transmission, but that was three days ago. The customer service at LKQ has been disappointing, with management failing to return my calls. My money is still tied up, and there seems to be no resolution in sight. For those who wish to avoid frustration, I recommend staying far away from LKQ.

LKQ On July 20th, 2022, I visited LKQ, paid $3 for entry, and sourced my parts.

On July 20th, 2022, I visited LKQ, paid my $3 fee, and went in to get my parts. Upon exiting, I mentioned that the tire on the rim I selected was not usable, and the staff agreed not to charge me for it. However, a manager intervened, loudly insisting on his authority over pricing decisions, causing a scene in front of other customers. This led to a heated exchange of words. His behavior was unprofessional and not befitting of a manager. I hope this feedback reaches the higher management at LKQ and that they address his conduct. It was unnecessary and disrespectful to everyone present. LKQ, such an experience is disappointing. I would rate this visit poorly if I could.

LKQ LKQ will tell you what you want to hear, make all kinds of promises, guarantees on what you're buying and even say they have been quality tested

LKQ will tell you what you want to hear, make all kinds of promises, guarantees on what you're buying and even say they have been quality tested by professionals in the auto industry to get your money. Once you have made the purchase, don't ever count on hearing from them again. They are knowingly selling customers bad used equipment over the phone and the internet and know there is nothing you can do after receiving said equipment. They stole over $1700.00 of my young son's hard earned money for a motor that was stored outside in the weather with no protection from the rain causing inside the intake ports and cylinders very bad rust and pitting. He needed his car for work and LKQ would not return emails or calls so he had no choice but to have the motor installed. Now that it's installed, the mechanic has found that the motor has been previously overheated thus the head gaskets, cylinder rings, and all of the valve seals are blown and the motor is blowing oil out and through the exhaust and every crevice in the motor. Now after repeated attempts to contact LKQ by phone or email, they are not responding to anything. DON'T TRUST THIS COMPANY WITH ANYTHING! THEY WILL LIE ABOUT THEIR PRODUCTS,TAKE YOUR MONEY AND IN RETURN TO SELL YOU JUNK WITHOUT A CARE IN THE WORLD! THEY HAVE NO QUALITY CONTROL OVER ANYTHING, THEY ARE JUST TELLING YOU AND SELLING YOU LIES TO MAKE EVERYTHING SOUND GOOD.

LKQ I happen to own an Auto Body Shop, and per an Insurance Co

I happen to own an Auto Body Shop, and per an Insurance Co. I was to put an aftermarket upper bumper filler on a customers vehicle. I ordered my part the same day as the Insurance estimate was written, and the part came in the next day, however, it was the incorrect part. The bumper filler I needed was a paint to match, which I did let the gentleman taking my order know when he asked. So I refused the original order due to it being the incorrect one, and reordered again. The second order did come in the next day, but upon inspection it was broken nearly in half, so I refused this one also, and called to place yet another order for this one simple part, and was transferred by a actual live person to a voice mail. I did not leave a vm, since the insurance company gave me 4 days to repair the vehicle, and I needed to be sure to get my order in, and called back AGAIN, and was told that she could not take my order, and she didn't know where the rep. was that could, he wasn't at his desk, and she would have him call me back. That was six hours ago, and still I have received a call to order the correct part for the third time. Thank goodness I went ahead and called Auto Nation and they were happy to take my $300.00 order and price match what the insurance company paid me to get one. Not only are they loosing money here, they are holding mine up by it taking so long to get the parts. I don't expect any thing here, I just hope someone sees this and can do better.

LKQ The Akron, Ohio location is great

The Akron, Ohio location is great. I can't speak for any other location. All the employees I dealt with treated me with respect and kindness. I had my mother's 1993 Ford Escort Wagon (with only 87,000 original miles on it) towed to LKQ Triplett Tire Depot back in June . Tim had to special order 4 new tires for it because car had set 5 yrs without being driven. He knew I wanted to get it in driving condition, so he had it inspected. He called & told me rodents chewed up the wiring. In his opinion it would not be worth spending the money to get it back in driving condition. He was right. Plus he told me there was no hurry to decide what I wanted to do. The car was not in their way. He also told me not to worry about the special ordered tires. My mother passed away from Alzheimer's after I had the wagon towed to the Akron location, so it sat there even longer on their insistence. It was 3 months before I decided to sell it for scrap. I can't say enough nice things about LKQ Triplett Tire Depot and Tim. Besides thanking them, I have sent a lot of people their way, and everyone has reported back with glowing experiences. (I am leaving this review 2 years after-the-fact because they were so good to me and my referrals at the Akron location, and at the time of this posting all the reviews that were listed were from other locations. I want people to know they can trust the Akron location. Oh, BTW I was referred into them by a friend who's whole family had been using them for years.)

LKQ Bottom of the barrel customer service no matter who you speak with

Bottom of the barrel customer service no matter who you speak with. Sold me a transmission for my Elantra. I had it installed professionally at a dealership for $1,200 in labor. Turns out it leaked... pretty heavily too. Called LKQ and was told not to worry; just make a warranty claim and be reimbursed for the cost of the installation of the second transmission once it arrives. Additionally, I had purchased the labor warranty for $134 giving extra peace-of-mind in the off-chance of a problem. Surprise! Leaking transmission. Read the fine print of the labor warranty. They only pay $50 per hour labor (Good luck finding engine/transmission shop for anywhere near that rate - my local dealer is $149 per hour) and use a standard guide to determine what they will pay. I was charged $1,017 for the second transmission installation and they sent me a check for $295, which is $50 per hour at 5.9 hours. I am now out over $700 for the second transmission installation all because they sent a leaky transmission that was never checked and verified to be good. My review is a last resort - but I've tried resolving the matter with several managers and was met with a cold, short attitude and an unwillingness to discuss the matter - just scripted robotic responses and getting hung up on once they're done with their script. A real sad example of a business in 2022. I'd have no problem chalking this up to a lesson learned if they had not wrongfully sent a leaking transmission and refused to go good for it!

LKQ Reckless endangerment

Reckless endangerment. LKQ is the parts supplier our warranty company, ***, uses. When our transmission broke, we went through our warranty. LKQ sent a part, but it didn't arrive for two weeks. Two weeks without a car in a single-car household. But it gets better. Our mechanic took one look at the part and shipped it back. He said he'd never put that transmission in a car because it was dangerous and faulty. It took LKQ another week to get a new part out, and we had it installed. Fast-forward just two short months later. My wife and I are on the road in the middle of nowhere, Wyoming, in 17 degree weather. The car breaks down. After a 90-mile tow, we find out our transmission had what the mechanic referred to as a "catastrophic breakdown." It literally exploded, sending metal shrapnel all throughout the engine block. As I write this, we're standed in Casper, WY. We need to have the part shipped in. Our mechanic said LKQ did everything possible to avoid expediting shipping to repair what was most definitely ANOTHER faulty part. We were promised it would arrive today by noon. It didn't. The mechanic called LKQ to find out what was going on. All they said was, "Oh, yeah, it won't be there today. Probably tomorrow." LKQ has sent us TWO faulty (read: dangerous to operate) parts, and we're waiting on a third, hoping it actually works and doesn't blow up on the road. Avoid at all costs. If we had ANY other option, we'd use it. Hitch-hiking the remaining 15-hour drive home would probably be a better alternative to working with LKQ.

LKQ LKQ truck driver

I was driving to work this morning at 9:40am and a person driving an LKQ truck nearly ran me off the road by changing lanes without checking for my car in the right lane. It would have been an accident if I hadn't reacted in time. The license plate was DF 04390 and there was a headlight missing. If anyone is reading this from LKQ corporate is reading this, I hope there is some kind of action that can be taken to prevent an accident in the future.

Desired outcome: Some kind of consequence for the driver

LKQ some of your sales associate

Some of your sales associates especially those at 2801 Hawkins point road can be very rude and arrogant with their customers. They can scream at you or even treat you like a beast especially if you have a so called "accent". There is a male staff cashier who used to work at the now closed Jessup branch as a cashier who got so crazy and daring when I asked him for a discount, that he walked out of his seat into the yard, grabbed the parts and destroyed them right in front of everyone and I believed he was an employee and not a share holder. He told me not to ever come to that location to buy used parts again. I was so scared, I never went to that location until it closed down. This guy now seats on the left side cashiers office when entering the location and he looks full figured. When ever I shop there and wants to make my payment, I would always skip him and go to the next cashier. I don't believe he should be still working there because most customers are scared to deal with him.

LKQ Disappointed with LKQ's Customer Service: Transfer Case Actuator Not Included in Purchase

So, I bought a Transfer Case with an actuator from LKQ (lkq.com). I installed it, but the 4wd was still flashing and not working. I ordered a replacement and went to pick it up, but there was no actuator attached. The counter person told me that the actuator was not included and had an attitude about it. They accused my sales person of including the actuator when it should not be included with the Transfer Case. She informed me that they do not sell it separately. I don't understand why it's not included since it's part of the Transfer Case assembly. My sales person, Krystal Vieira, told me that the actuator is not listed as a separate part and should be included, and the yards should sell them if they do not sell them separately. Now, I was told that the cost is double the original price quoted and they are charging shipping costs to ship it to another LKQ location. This is an awful way to run a business! I am very disappointed with LKQ and their customer service.

LKQ Disappointing Experience with LKQ: Used 6.0L Diesel Engine in Terrible Condition and Poor Customer Service

I was on the hunt for a 6.0L Diesel engine for one of my customers and boy was it a struggle. I scoured the internet for hours and finally stumbled upon LKQ's website. They claimed to have the engine in stock and I was ecstatic. However, every time I inquired about the engine, the price seemed to skyrocket. I was hesitant but eventually agreed to pay $3200 for a used engine.

When the engine finally arrived, I was sorely disappointed. It was in terrible condition and would have required an additional $2000 in upgrades and repairs just to make it usable. The exhaust manifolds were so rusted that they were impossible to remove, the intake was for an older model, and every sensor was cracked from the brutal removal process. Even the valve covers were rusting through. It was a complete disaster.

Thankfully, we discovered these issues within 15 minutes of delivery. We immediately called LKQ to have the driver come back and pick it up. However, they ignored all of our calls and when they finally did answer, they said they had to cash my check before they could do anything. This left me with my hands tied, unable to do anything until they stopped holding my money hostage.

Overall, my experience with LKQ was extremely disappointing. The engine I received was in terrible condition and their customer service was lacking. I would not recommend them to anyone in need of a reliable engine.

LKQ Terrible Customer Service and Faulty Products: My Experience with LKQ

This company, LKQ, is a complete disaster. I have never experienced such terrible customer service in my entire life. It has been over 10 days since I placed my order and I still haven't received the correct shipment. The first shipment they sent me was full of faults and missing parts. It was a complete mess.

After numerous phone calls and discussions with the company, they promised to send me a replacement shipment. They told me to wait for the details to be sent to me. I waited and waited, but I never received any details. So, I decided to contact the company to find out what was going on. To my surprise, no one knew anything about the replacement shipment. They asked me for the details again, as if we had never spoken before.

When I asked to speak to a manager to figure out what was going on, they hung up on me. Can you believe that? They just hung up on me! I was so frustrated and angry. I couldn't believe that a company could be so unprofessional and disrespectful to their customers.

Overall, I would not recommend LKQ to anyone. Their customer service is terrible and their products are faulty. Save yourself the headache and find a different company to do business with.

LKQ LKQ Review: Faulty Parts and Unhelpful Customer Service - Not Worth the Risk

LKQ is a name that's been around for a while and it's no secret that they offer remanufactured parts at a cheaper price. But what happens when something goes wrong? Well, let me tell you, it's not pretty. As a shop owner, I recently ordered a remanufactured transmission from LKQ for $800.00. Unfortunately, they shipped the wrong transmission which put my customer and me behind by a week. But that's not the worst part. The correct transmission only lasted 150 miles before codes started popping up indicating that first gear had an incorrect gear ratio.

When I contacted LKQ about the issue, they told me that there was a labor option when checking out. However, the only options available were shipping and the part itself. The girl I spoke to and her supervisor basically told me "tough luck". They even had the audacity to suggest that they send someone out to check it, which would mean more of my time wasted for free.

I have to say, I'm extremely disappointed with LKQ. I thought I was getting a good deal, but it turns out that their cheaper parts are just that, cheap. The lack of customer service and support is unacceptable. As a small business owner, I can't afford to waste time and money on faulty parts and unhelpful customer service.

In conclusion, I would not recommend LKQ to anyone. The risk of receiving faulty parts and dealing with unhelpful customer service is just not worth it. As for me, I'll be taking my business elsewhere.

LKQ Terrible Experience with LKQ: Faulty Engine and No Responsibility Taken

I bought a used engine from LKQ for my Jaguar and had it installed by a professional. However, as soon as I started the engine, I noticed a loud knocking sound. It was clear that the engine was junk! I immediately called LKQ to complain about the engine. They told me to remove it and return it for a refund. When I asked if they had checked the engine before selling it to me, they said they only visually inspect them and do not run or check the engine at all. Can you believe it? They sold me a $5,000 engine without even checking if it was good!

I am extremely disappointed with LKQ's service. They refuse to pay for the cost of having the engine installed and started. They told me that there was no way they would cover the additional $2,000 I had to pay the shop to fix their mistake. It's unbelievable that they would sell a faulty engine and not take responsibility for it.

I strongly advise against buying from LKQ. They are the worst! I had heard and read bad reviews about them, but I didn't take them seriously. Now I regret not listening to those warnings. If you buy from LKQ, you are getting taken to the cleaners. They don't check their motors, and you'll end up paying for their mistakes.

In conclusion, I had a terrible experience with LKQ. They sold me a faulty engine and refused to take responsibility for it. I had to pay an additional $2,000 to fix their mistake. I strongly advise against buying from them.

LKQ Unprofessional and Rude Service at LKQ: My Disappointing Experience

I gave LKQ a call to see if they had the part I needed, and they said yes. So, I headed over to their location. When I got there, it was a bit of a mess. I asked the lady at the front desk if she could help me find my part, but she was on the phone for a while. She told me it was her friend who had been having some issues, and she finally caught her man in bed with someone else. I could hear her friend crying on the other end of the phone.

After about 15 minutes, she finally got off the phone and turned to me. She asked me what was wrong with me, and why I couldn't just walk to find my part. I laughed it off, but I was a bit taken aback by her attitude. She then told me that the closest thing she had to a radiator was an old hub cap wheel for a Toyota.

I was pretty disappointed with the service I received. The lady was rude and unprofessional. She even suggested that I come back on Thursdays instead of Fridays because it's like Black Friday, and a lot of black people come to shop. I couldn't believe what I was hearing.

As she handed me my chicken tender, she slapped it down on her desk and told me to have a great day. I left feeling very dissatisfied and lost for words. I've never experienced anything like this before.

LKQ Unfair Charges and Poor Customer Service at LKQ: A Warning to Buyers

So, I recently went to LKQ to get a part for my old style s-10 fender. I must say, it was not a pleasant experience. I got charged a whopping $60.99 for the fender, which included the inner part that I did not even get. When I brought this to their attention, they still charged me for it. I mean, come on, that's not fair, right?

To make matters worse, when I tried to call them to sort this out, I got outsourced to a call center in another state. I had to explain the whole situation to them in basic words, and they just told me to go back to where I bought it and argue with them. Like, seriously? Is that how you treat your customers?

And that's not all. They charged me a $5.00 core fee, an $8.51 environment fee, and a $2.00 entry fee. And to top it off, they even did a tool bag check as soon as I walked through the door. I mean, what kind of place is this?

It's clear that LKQ is trying to push the mom and pop junk yard out of business. And let's face it, when you buy from a junk yard, you're getting junk at almost retail price. So, if you can, try to buy new items. And if not, buy from a mom and pop junk yard. It's time to stop corporate greed here in the USA.

LKQ LKQ Warranty Nightmare: Frustration and Disappointment with Replacement Motor

I recently had an experience with LKQ that left me feeling frustrated and disappointed. My truck was in need of a new motor, so I took it to a trusted shop who ordered the replacement from LKQ. At first, everything seemed fine - the motor was installed by a master mechanic and I was back on the road in no time.

However, less than a week later, I started noticing some serious issues with the new motor. It was driving poorly and making strange noises. I took it back to the shop, where we discovered that the oil pan was full of chunks of metal. Needless to say, I was not happy.

Thankfully, the motor was still under warranty, so I contacted LKQ to try and get it resolved. Unfortunately, this is where the nightmare began. LKQ was not willing to honor the warranty without making the shop jump through all sorts of hoops. It took months of back-and-forth before they finally authorized a return.

Even then, things didn't go smoothly. The parts manager told me that the check was in the mail, but it's been weeks and we still haven't received anything. Meanwhile, my mechanic has not been paid for all the work he had to do to remove the motor and deal with LKQ's nonsense. And I haven't been refunded for the crappy motor, the core, or the fortune I paid to have it installed and removed.

All in all, this has been a six-month nightmare that I wouldn't wish on anyone. I'm still waiting for resolution, and I'm not holding my breath. If you're considering using LKQ for any of your automotive needs, I would strongly advise against it.

LKQ Disappointing Experience with LKQ: Used Motor Only Lasted Three Weeks

I gotta say, I'm not too impressed with LKQ. I mean, I bought a used motor from them and it only lasted me three weeks! Can you believe that? Me and my two kids were stranded on the side of the road, back to square one. It's just not right, you know? They shouldn't be selling bad engines and parts to hardworking Americans who are just trying to get by. It's like they don't even care about us.

And what really gets me is that they don't even seem ashamed of themselves. They just keep on doing business like nothing's wrong. It's like they're stealing from us, plain and simple. How can they take advantage of people like that? It's not fair. We work hard for our money and we depend on these parts to keep us moving. They should be ashamed of themselves.

But you know what? God sees all things. And I truly believe that they will get what's coming to them. I just wish I could undo this mistake and help others avoid making the same one in the future. That's why I'm writing this review. If I could give them zero stars, I would. And I'm definitely going to tell everyone I know about my experience and encourage them to read reviews before they buy from LKQ.

Overall, I just can't recommend LKQ. They're just not worth the risk.

LKQ Disappointing Experience with LKQ: Wrong Part, Poor Customer Service, and Costly Return

I gotta say, I ain't too happy with LKQ. I bought a part for my ride from them and it turned out to be a real dud. I asked the customer service lady if it was the right one and she said it was, so I went ahead and bought it. But when my mechanic tried to put it in, it just wouldn't fit. So I called up LKQ and they told me I was given the wrong part and there wasn't even another option for my vehicle. Can you believe that? I just wasted almost $500 on a part that doesn't even work and they're only giving me back $248. And on top of that, I gotta pay $200 just to ship it back to them. What a ripoff!

I mean, I don't know about you, but I expect a company to know what they're selling and to give me all the options available. But LKQ just let me down big time. I even checked their website and the only option for my vehicle was the part I bought. So how was I supposed to know there was another option? It's like they don't even care about their customers.

I gotta say, I wouldn't recommend LKQ to anyone. They're just not worth the hassle and the money. If you're looking for a reliable company to buy car parts from, look somewhere else. Don't make the same mistake I did.

LKQ I was sold an incorrect transmission for my car

I was sold an incorrect transmission for my car. They had inventoried a wrong one as if it was the model I needed. Upon receiving everything seemed normal, and the labels for it were correct, as well as we had checked with the VIN that I was getting the right one before hand. I was not planning to do the work on the car right ahead, as I needed to save more money for the labor, and other parts. Months later, when I take it to my mechanic, is when I found out that they sold me an erroneous one. When contacted them on how to proceed, they apparently acted as they were going to honor their mistake, and exchange it for the right one. They had me for weeks coming back and forward with different methods of communication, to finally telling me that they would not do anything about it, and that it is my fault because I did not contact them earlier. I understand that the situation is particular, and the item is outside of the return and warranty window, but this stems from an original big mistake from their side, on an order of USD 771, which is not a minor sum. It is not that I didn't want the product, or I broke it, they sold me something different and I had no way of knowing, because all of the precautions to get the right one had already been taken beforehand. It is their responsibility as a company to sell the right product, and take ownership on their mistake, regardless of their return policy time frame. The item is still on the pallet they shipped it, with their labels, has not been used or anything. I have even offered to pay the shipping myself to return it, from good faith, and for them even not to lose money from the original sale as I understand that it was an accident, and that the situation was special for the time that has elapsed since the order. But they refuse to live up to their error, and to make it right to a customer.

I purchased a recycled air conditioner compressor from LKQ in February 2022. I had it installed by my mechanic and within 30 days it seized and left me stuck on the highway. I had to take it to a mechanic and it was confirmed that the compressor was defective and it cost me over $900 to get it fixed. I returned the defective compressor and explained that it was defective, but they refused to give me a refund of $153.41. The salesperson and her supervisor tried to work with me by offering the option to select another used item. I chose to get two headlight lenses for my car, which would have been an equal exchange. Great, right? However, when the salesperson called me to tell me that my headlight lenses were ready for pickup, after traveling across town (23 miles), there was only one lens delivered. I had requested two lenses, but I left the single lens there because the salesperson promised to have another one delivered in a week. I waited a week and called to find out the status of the lenses, but I kept getting the runaround. I've been dealing with these issues throughout the spring, summer, and now into the fall, and the salesperson does not respond to emails or phone calls. I hope you can help resolve this issue for me.

July 26th 2022, I purchased parts for a 2017 Kia *** They were returned and I was told I would get a refund. I paid $698.38 for the parts. On August 5th 2022, I was only refunded $398.38. I have called many times; over 5. Between August 5th and today October 10th 2022. I have explained to them, I did not receive the full refund. In the middle of August, I was told they were looking into it. I was supposed to get a call from them at the end of August. I had to call them, but they still did not have an answer. Now they are not doing anything nor returning my calls. I've called twice in two weeks.

Purchased a remanufactured cylinder head from this company. They sent the wrong remanufactured part to our company. We installed the part as the difference is undetectable without tearing down and inspecting a freshly built part (which would void the warranty). This caused a different problem than we encountered originally with our customer's vehicle. The company authorized us to tear down and inspect. The company has admitted they made a mistake (we have written proof). They have given us an offer to pay 30% of the bill that was produced because of the mistake that they have taken full responsibility of... verbally (we didn't accept). Now they will not return my calls. I'm hoping they will get back in contact with me thus the reason I am filing this complaint.

LKQ i have a 2008 Chevrolet Colorado at the time of failure the original engine had 138k miles on it

i have a 2008 Chevrolet Colorado at the time of failure the original engine had 138k miles on it. The engine failed due to lower end noise, also had timing chain codes. The vehicle was still drivable. General motors does not provide a new/reman engines for this application. which led me to look else where, i found an engine for $3,637.67 that is an LKQ engine. It included a 100k/3year warranty. I had it installed on 08/06 at McCarthy Chevrolet in lees summit mo. On 11/18 the engine started to have issues, misfire on cylinder #4. In fine print to receive warranty/labor coverage claim has to be called in before disassemble. With a scope you could see damage in that cylinder. contacted company and lkq approved to replace the engine and labor through their no fault coverage. the engine than has to be sent back and inspected for failure. the outcome was stated that foreign object debris entered the engine and caused this engine to failure. Only way FOB can occur is when there is a cataphoric failure with the original engine. this now will void any warranty and labor coverage(which I wasn't informed until 01/21). The replacement engine was installed and failed again on 01/21 with 144,079 miles. I now have no warranty with this engine. the inspection of the failure is incorrect on the 1st engine i have spoke to a Ron Probst and they had looked into the issue, he suspected detonation had occurred that caused this engine to fail which leads to FOB being incorrect. I have asked for a refund or new engine, they are unable to due so. they want me to send the engine back and they will inspect for them selves again- but if there is no manufacture defect found i will be stuck with a non running engine in pieces. ron and i spoke about the excessive amount of oil found in the intake manifold which may be causing these engines to fail(detonate). the vehicle never has had any check engine lights on prior to any engine failure.

My mechanic advised me to purchase a motor from LKQ with the purchase date being March 18, 2022. We encountered issues with three different motors. The third motor I received caused my jeep to leak oil and transmission fluid due to some faulty seals, and my jeep was overheating. I reached out to my mechanic, who in turn contacted LKQ. He provided me with their contact information. Since then, we have contacted them multiple times and left messages. The representatives at LKQ have been emailed, and despite our efforts to work with them, after numerous calls, no resolution has been achieved. My engine remains unfixed, and my calls have not been returned. I have spent a total of $6,734.70 on the engine and mechanic services, which included a warranty, for issue after issue, and yet nothing has been resolved with this company.

LKQ On 8/10/2022, I bought a quarter panel from LKQ but it didn't fit my car and I lost the receipt.

On 8/10/2022, I bought a quarter panel from my local LKQ pick-your-part service. Unfortunately, it didn't fit my car and I ended up not needing it. Sadly, I had lost my receipt. However, I had used my credit card, so I figured that could be proof of purchase. When I returned to the store, I spoke to an employee who said he would get the manager. But then, a lady who had sold me the part was rude and intervened, insisting on a receipt to pull up the transaction. She was very rude and refused to help, not even fetching the manager. I tried to explain that I could verify the purchase with my bank statement, but she refused to listen. Over the next four days, I tried contacting corporate to no avail. I called several numbers and submitted help forms on their website, but received no assistance. The local LKQ staff were unhelpful, and I couldn't understand why they wouldn't let me speak to a manager or help me when I was polite and just needed to return the part without a receipt.

Purchased 2010 Chevrolet Equinox 2.4L 4 Cylinder OEM with 93K miles from LKQ287575465. Date of Purchase: 8/23. Order Number: Confidential. Total Cost: $2,095.20. The vehicle was not in use until January 2022.

Before I bought the motor, I called the company to ensure its authenticity. I inquired about the warranty, and they assured me over the phone that coverage would commence from the installation date of the motor. Since installation, the motor has accumulated very few miles. However, it stopped functioning on my way to work. Following this incident, I reached out to the company through phone and email. Both responses indicated that there is no warranty and the motor is not covered. I requested to speak with a supervisor and left a message, but I have not received any response. It seems the company has no intention of assisting me with the motor issue.

I purchased a used auto part from LKQ for Purchase Amount: $489.21 when the part arrived I did not accept because it was the wrong part, the correct part cost $1,200 and they refuse to credit me the full $489.21 because they insist that I did not ask for the correct part when I know that I did. I requested a full refund and they only credit my account for $202 which is less that half what I paid. They ripped me off of almost $300, What can I do, they are an online company.

LKQ My daughter and I purchased a used engine for a 2009 *** from LKQ Corp's online division on February 17th, 2022

My daughter and I purchased a used engine for a 2009 *** from LKQ Corp's online division on February 17th, 2022. The website indicated that we would get the engine on February 23rd. It did not arrive until March 4th. My daughter has been without her car since February 15th, and the issue is still not resolved! When the shop I am having do the work got the engine installed (Precision Automotive of Utah), they started it up and immediately the engine began to make a very loud noise from the bottom of the engine, rod knock, meaning it was a bad engine. I worked with Precision to file a claim on the warranty LKQ provides, which is for replacement of the engine if it fails within a year. However, I called LKQ's warranty department and asked the agent that I spoke with to escalate a request from me to also consider paying for labor to install that bad engine, something that Precision will still charge me for because they did the work to install that bad engine. I feel strongly that LKQ should reimburse me for labor, because they shipped me a bad engine. LKQ shipped me a second engine, but it was also bad! Now, there is a third engine on the way, and my shop will now want a third installation charge! I should only have to pay one installation charge. In good faith, I looked at LKQ's website, and based on the company's size, and the verbiage on their website about the high quality of their products, I assumed it was a safe way to go. It only seemed reasonable that LKQ would have tested these used engines before shipping them! I'm a divorced school teacher, with limited income, buying this engine for my daughter, who is a college student. I paid $2,508 for the engine, but I'm asking that LKQ pay $2,000 to the shop for the two installation charges for the bad engines, $1,000 per installation. The shop normally charges $1,300 per installation, so I will pay the difference even though I don't feel it's right I have to pay any more than one install.

We own a small local automotive repair business. We purchased a $2800 used motor from LKQ Corp with a 6 months parts warranty. Motor was supposed to be checked upon shipment. The motor was installed and upon start up, the water pump was out. Motor was paid for in full by the customer ($4700 with labor and additional parts such as fluids and gaskets). Now the motor having a water pump out is an additional charge to the customer of $856.75 due to the fact the motor was not in the condition they stated. My sales Rep *** transferred me to his boss who was extremely hateful and hung up on me. They are stating it is too bad we are a small shop and are having to now take care of an almost $900 bill because of their careless check out. I refuse to call the customer and ask for them to pay an additional $900 on top of the already paid $4700 because LKQ does not want to cover their warranty. The water pump is ran by the timing chain although timing chain will not be replaced because of holding tool on hand. Timing will have to be checked because there can be slack in the chain with any repairs/replacements to water pump. The motor was originally replaced due to broken timing chain which caused major internal issues to original motor.

I purchased an engine from a supplier in June , who originally acquired it from LKQ for my 2009 vehicle. The engine came with an insurance policy to cover it, offering protection for three years or a certain number of miles. I have had to get it repaired twice. The first repair was due to a camshaft seal leak, and the second was because of a rear seal leak. The insurance only contributed to the cost of the first repair, and even then, it was a minimal amount that they paid to the mechanic. The engine failed catastrophically while I was driving, and now it's back at the mechanic's shop. The insurance company has requested a teardown of the engine to diagnose the issue, after which they will decide if they will cover the repairs. Unfortunately, I have been unable to get in touch with LKQ or the insurance company they partner with.

Work order issue. The listing for the engine specifies details about the engine, including the presence of a turbo. However, the engine arrived without the turbo. I spoke to the representative who stated that the descriptions are written by various locations and their accuracy can vary. I believe this to be a deceptive practice. I have included the document where the inclusion of a turbo is stated. I feel that I should be provided with the turbo as advertised.

LKQ Hello,I purchased a used engine from Car Part Planet April and it was not running well

Hello,I purchased a used engine from Car Part Planet April and it was not running well. So, I returned that engine and payed more money for a remanufactured engine in June from Car Part Planet which, got the engine from LKQ Corp. which is responsible for the warranty. The remanufactured engine is also not running well. I submitted a claim to LKQ via Car Part Planet July explaining that the engine expels a lot of white smoke every time I turn the car on, its burning excessive oil (over a quart every few hundred miles), and the gas mileage has diminished from the specs. Ive been calling and emailing LQK since September when *** (head of warranty from Car Part Planet) told me to contact LQK directly because there was no action. LQKs warranty department is very nonchalant and sluggish. Its been 8 months of excessive spending on oil and dealing with the stress of constantly checking the oil so this engine doesnt burnout. My mechanic has ran all the tests LQK asked for numerous times last year and then no response. I told an LQK employee (***) in the warranty department Dec 24th I would contact the Complaintsboard.com & the media and he escalated my case to *** which is the head of the warranty department. *** has called me once in December to have my mechanic run the same tests again, my mechanic sent him the results, no response from *** since. Ive called and emailed *** for an update because this is taking way too and no response at all. Also, LKQ had told my mechanic that they would compensate him for all the tests hes performed and they have not payed him. This is not what I expected to be dealing with. Ive spent over $10K dealing with this whole process and still spending more than I should for excessive oil and gas consumption. I would like this engine to be replaced or repaired at 100% LKQs expense for all the inconvenience and unresponsiveness. My mechanic needs to be paid for running those tests also. Resolution needed asap.Thank You

LKQ PURCHASE DATE 9/11/2022 LKQ at undisclosed location, RECEIPT issues, seeking refund

On 9/11/2022, I made a purchase at LKQ. The receipt is poorly printed, but I can confirm the total paid was $692.76, which is clearly stated. I am seeking a refund for items damaged by an employee during the checkout process. Despite waiving the warranty on all items, many were marked and some were cosmetically ruined by a paint pen used by this location for warranty verification. Please contact me by phone or email for resolution. After opting out of the warranty, I found leather headrests and other parts marked with blue paint upon loading them into my truck. When I returned to address the issue, the staff was dismissive and unhelpful, even though the damage was clearly caused by their actions. I have been a loyal customer of LKQ for years and am very disappointed with this experience. I am not seeking trouble, but I do want a refund for the damaged items. My friend's canteen, which was also in the wheelbarrow, was needlessly vandalized with the same paint pen. I urge LKQ to rectify this situation.

LKQ I bought a used engine from LKQ Route 16 Auto Parts of Webster , Massachusetts for $1450 with a 6 month warranty

I bought a used engine from LKQ Route 16 Auto Parts of Webster , Massachusetts for $1450 with a 6 month warranty. Despite it being professional installed the engine was defective as it appeared to have a small bullet hole in its block weeping small amount water. I submitted a warranty demand for reimbursement verbally and then in writing. I brought the vehicle to Chestnut Motors Needham Ma. as directed. LKQ manager Chris and his mechanic called Chestnut Motors (owner Paul) to have vehicle on lift at 1pm ready for mechanic to review and inspect vehicle engine. The mechanic call Paul he was on way, but mechanic never showed. After vehicle on lift 1-3 pm they removed it to parking lot as its $100 a hour for lift rental. Paul called Chris who asked Paul to film engine running and do a diagnostic test on film and forward video to Chris at LKQ - Webster Ma. Chris and LKQ mechanic agreed with Paul engine had nock but car was running (still does) and that warranty was good. Chris then called me and advised that LKQ was in agreement and sending me a check for $1,221.88 not the $1,328.13 I was seeking to be reimbursed. Plus the $200 for release of my care to pay Chestnut Motors for the 2 hours of lift time and video sent and inspection that the LKQ mechanic never did as he never showed despite his saying he'd be there in an hour and to have it on a lift. I then got an email and call from LKQ attorney Chad Nold (***) who spoke to manager Chris in webster Ma and agreed to reimburse me the $200 for the vehicle release, or the work and engine analysis and video recording that LKQ had requested Chestnut Motors to perform. I agreed with attorney Nold that that would end the matter and no court action would be taken- none has been taken by me as of 9/ 2/20 (today). But days later attorney Nold informed me I would have to sign a release and an updated agreement preventing me from discussing the LKQ warranty with a buyer of the car or with my local Complaintsboard.com or even you in Ill
