Account Executive Sales Representative ( actually door to door canvassing for straight commission)
The role of the Account Manager is to help develop and execute the strategic sales and marketing plans for the key accounts of our firm. ( Key Accounts? NO, it's people in apartments and homes )
Maintain and build relationships with the key accounts. Develop and execute a sales and marketing plan for key accounts that meets or exceeds sales and margin targets. ( No, 1 time sale. What sales plan... they point you at a street and walk door to door ) Also, they are breeching CA Labor Codes for directing 1099 "contractors" in an attempt to not pay taxes.
Requirements: Through One to two years of sales experience you must be able to demonstrate acquired skill and measurable success in the following areas: ( Not based on the looks of the people working for them ).

The owner uses the name Alex and he is somewhat knowledgeable of English. I think he is from the Mideast. He claims he makes $200, 000 per year but his Goodwill suit negates the statement that he is making any money yet.

So in the beginning I had applied on Indeed.com for Marketing Assistant. The ad did not describe anything about what I'm going to talk about next. Now I will admit that there was some red flags 🚨that should have made me back out of this whole thing but I tried not to judge the situation. I tried to give it a chance and see how far I was going allow this carry on. I went in for the interview for a gentleman named Alex. There is when the red flag waived🚨 He asked me if I like sales and I said I did not. Its not something I'm good at. In the back of my mind, I wanted ask what that had to do with position applied for but I didn't. Then I spoke with a guy named Nick and he said I have a different position that may for me buy for a different company that works with Sprint. A "manager position". I would be supervising 20 people. I thought okay so far so good, I was delighted. They scheduled me for a second interview 2 weeks later since I was still working at my current job and could not take anymore time off. On Memorial Day, I was scheduled for a second interview and came in at 8:45. I came dressed in professional clothes. I sat an waited for about 20 minutes, while a few guys decked out in suits walked in and out one office and Nick walked back and forth from his office to the front desk. Afterwards Nick called me in the office and I was partnered with a account rep named Edgar who was going to show me ropes basically. Honestly when I found out that we were leaving the ppremises🚨that should have been my cue to back out of this whole deal, then he told me that was strictly commission 🚨but little did I know of the stupidity that I was going to witness next. I hopped in the car with Edgar and we drove to Victorville. It was roughly a 45 minute drive. But gas is remeibused. I said I guess that's Ok. The young man told me that he can make up to $1000 a week and doing whatever he was about to do. We ended up at the parking of the most ghetto 99 cents I have ever seen 🚨. Trying to get people to sign up for a free cell phone. After talking over 70 from 10 to about 2. He got 10 people to sign up at $9.00 earned per phone🚨. This was by far the biggest waist of time/ day/ life I have every witnessed yet this you man swears by this job and really believes in it. I was not happy about being out in the sun in my dress clothes 🚨 I could have stayed in my bed asleep and enjoyed my Memorial Day holiday off. 6 hours of my life that will never get back.

I had the first interview with one of the supervisors. He wasn't very clear on exactly what the job was. He just kept explaining about how successful the employees were and how the management ladder works. I have a degree in Marketing, but am not a fan of direct sales (Yeah, i know). So I kept asking what exactly we had to do, but I never got a clear answer. Once I started getting an idea of the actual job description (which was door to door sales for Verizon, which was never expressed in the job posting online), I asked if they did any other marketing activities (promotion, advertisement, actual marketing plans), since their website clearly stated they conduct marketing campaigns and plans for companies. But he kept steering away from the answer and talked about what it took to be a manager there. He told me he wanted to set me up for a second interview with the main manager, which I agreed to, just to see if I can get a better answer from that guy.
I also had interview with the 'Alex' guy. He boasted his success and his Masters degree in marketing, and continued down the same path as the same guy (management ladder and all that) It was until then, yes the second interview, that I finally found out it was all commission based. He was about to finish the interview without even telling me how the compensation worked.
This is the funny part: At the end of the interview, he puts out his hand and asks if I can start right away. I don't shake it, but respectfully decline his offer and express how a) I don't want to be going door to door b) I want to be an actual marketer for a company, so I was looking to gain experience in something like that, and c) It's commission based and I needed money right away, so I could not rely on people buying the product in order for me to make money.
Let's just say, he did not like that I did that. He bashed me for lacking confidence and having weak goals in my life. I was very amazed by his professionalism (sarcasm), and just smiled, thanked him for his time, and left.
Sorry for the rant, just felt anyone who's looking into this company should see different experiences from other people.

This is a fradulent pyramid scheme business. I initially interviews for "customer service representative position" which in turn is a non certified door to door commission only possition selling fios for Verizon; where the "owner" Alex claims to be making over 200k a year. The other ' owner' for the other Sprint division his name is Nick Loxeley. This division advertises no sales or door to door but in fact it is trying to qualify people for government assisted phones. I thought this would not be so illegitimate and decided to give it a try. They take you to places that do not guarantee your personal safety. My day on the field I experienced interactions with drug dealers and people that already have government assisted phones but wanted more and you get paid 9$ for every phone you qualify people for. Therefore I turn it is a commission based possition. After I expressed my disinterest In this possition I was granted the option of working with their HR department. My first day in the job I was not explained the job or given paperwork to fill, Nick did not even provide training or explanation of the salary. In this department store hey expect you to put in 50+ hours a week for minimum wage in a call center type job where you review applicants and try to get 50 people a day in the door for interviews . The instructions for the applicants asked to come in for interviews is that they 're not older than 30. At my week at this job 25- to 30 people quit. On Friday which is payday, former employees complaint if income re pay. After witnessing how this "business" was run I decided to part with this possition. After I picked up my check I was not paid the complete amount for the days that I worked. Do not come and waist your time at this "marketing firm" you'd be better off flipping burgers at in in out.

This company is selling fraudulent dreams to individuals seeking financial independence & or establish themselves in the workforce. After 7 weeks & only getting paid once ($160) I realized that there was nothing for me at this company. The sacrifice of time, gas, patience & quality time with my daughter. This non paying "entrepreneurs" position works you 6 days a week 10-15 hr days with no training pay & no guarantee of receiving a check at the end of the week. I wish anyone the best who attempts at this position. If you have nothing but time, no responsibilities outside of you then more power to you.

WOW! Just as I thought! I actually knew it even before going in for the interview, but I'm open minded and receptive these days, trying to keep motivated/positive. My intuition is getting sharper and I feel better knowing that. Today, I got an email about a position with an "interactive marketing firm" so I called and scheduled an interview today after telling the wife there's something not right but again, I'm keeping an open mind, and I went in this afternoon. "Alex" is the one I also interviewed with, but my background is web design/graphic design working remotely and looking for other opportunities as well, I just figured it'll be a way in, but once they saw my work, it'll be a way to work my way into maybe marketing director/creative director or whatever. Anyways, "Alex" gave me the usual spill about climbing the ladder etc etc etc. Then he said I was the only one who he wanted to give the opportunity for a second interview, and asked if I can come in tomorrow! I said sure "Alex" I'll be there first thing. As soon as I got home, I found all these message here in this forum. So I would like to first thank everyone for taking a stand, and calling these cons out in this blog/review board. A few months ago, I meet "Nick" at another local, but just turned it down and was outta there so I've already had a taste of it. The only difference is that "Nick" was actually honest about what he was doing, as if he knew I shouldn't be wasting my life there, because he told me I'd be going door-to-door in low income areas to give away those cell phones. Hats off to "Nick" by the way for being truthful to me. I had a notion that they were connected because "Nick" was pushing the Sprint deal and his office was new. If it wasn't for "Nick" I'd be consulting a lawyer, a personal friend, right now so their [censored] was about to be grass. I would suggest to everyone that they contact Verizon about "Alex" because he was slimebag trash, using "interactive marketing company" because that's what I have on my resume, I have experience creating interactive CDs etc. F@$*#&K that piece of sht! I should have his place shut down, I just don't have the energy to focus another second on this BS.

When I called the HR office yesterday at 9:15 AM they weren't open so I left a message for Brandi Bonicci. Brandi called me back & I had asked her what job position this was for? She stated customer service I told her I'm sorry but I never applied for a customer service job she then started to mumble with her words. I told her I have an email from you thanking me for applying for the Account Representative position and that you would like to set up an interview with me. She then said oh yea! I must have mixed that up, then she says well we do have a position for Account Manager as well & I said wait! Are you still hiring for the Account Representative position she said well it's all the same.
Lol are you serious im surely not wasting my time with this company nor am I interested in selling government phones.
Looped In Inc.,
This is the way I see it if your going to hire a so called HR Rep such as Brandi Bonicci for your company, make sure the person can be on point with telling lies to make your scam company look professional when it's really not.. Anyway I'm just glad I didn't waist my time on such BS! I hope Karma catches up with you & it's owners.😉

My relative is still trying to be paid for this scam they had him thinking he was going to be paid 750.00 plus commission. I tried to tell him it had to be a scam he then went on to say you have to drive to upland daily just to watch a bunch of people going in an out of rooms as if they are actually doing something which is a waste of gas an time. This is a straight scam . Someone needs to shut them completely down.

Same thing here, I wasted a week of my gas and time and because I decided the job wasnt for me and didnt finish my "training" they are refusing to pay me. I am going to the labor board about this, and they cant do anything then I will take it in to my own hands. Nick needs to be stopped, and taught a lesson. I wont do anything violent but he's gonna get hurt seriously with how he misleads people. And theyre is not much he can do, he is a scrawny little punk that has absolutely no people skills...

This Phone number [protected] led me here. I never applied to anything related to marketing. But the email i also got said "telecom-solutions" and I did apply for a cable technician.

I called the phone number back because of my curiosity, and the messaging system said Looped in.

Good thing I research it before falling for the trap.

Thanks everyone for all the input. I had just received a phone cal from a "Kelsey"? When I returned the call, I can hear a bunch of noise in the background similar to some telemarketing call. I can tell Kelsey was just a staged name that everyone of the telemarketers use when calling candidates. But just know that if the number is [protected], you've been contacted by the same company that is somewhat of a scam.

This similar company was operating in Anaheim back in 2014 under a different name but have very similar description in their Job postings and details describing it's positions - which is very vague. STAY AWAY from them.

I got a call for the first interview I talked to a guy named Nick, he quickly summarized the position. I told him I could only accept the position and move forward if I had a guarantee pay and worked only part time (3) days a week. He agreed to $360 a week. I returned to the second interview, when I was there I waited, a manager came up to me and said I will go to field with him and another. The hr had me train on a computer for hours. After that training I carpooled with manager and another. During this point I noticed there was no real training, when we got to the 99 store the manager did not share anything with me at all. I never got any copies of my paper work compliance book or training packets. He just did not train me at all. I talked and asked the details of my compensation considering others were not getting the guarantee. Nick changed the pay structure after he agreed to pay me the 360 weekly. I then talked to nick about the matter and he agreed to pay 300 instead of 360 dollars. I agreed (I really needed the job, had just left my 5 year career because he agreed to pay a guarantee 360 weekly.) I began to just follow other employees and copy what they said because there was no training. I was expected to be there from 7 am to 7 pm. There was a bonus of 150 for the first 30 apps too.I really needed the money so I stayed for 2 weeks . After two weeks and getting an average of 7 apps a day I exeeded the 30 apps. Well to be honest I did not receive a check until a month later and I called daily, with no answer and no call back the times I did leave a message. I also talked to a manager there after days of calling and said the payroll was still processing my check (really? ) then finally when I talked to nick he said that my check went out but they have to cancel it now and re issue it. I said just issue me one I will be there Monday. He said ok. Monday comes I call in and he said he would leave it w hr. I get there talked to her and no one is aware where the check went. Finally he steps in the iffice( I had a print out of all the apps I did) over 30. He says only a few were found in the tablet an only a few were approved so I don't qualify for any bonus I don't get guarantee or paid training. I was completely set up. The office needs to be shut down and he needs to be arrested. There is no compliance at all. I'm looking at the labor laws.

I have been searching and applying for jobs consistently for the past 6 weeks, but have not been able to secure anything.
I received a phone call from "Melissa" yesterday from [protected] saying they had reviewed my resume and were interested in interviewing me today. I got another call a couple hours before the time I had set up to go saying they were confirming the interview. I've never known any other company to call and check that you're coming. Either you show up or you don't. I was already a little weary as there was little to no info on their website about the position and I had to go back to the posting on indeed for details. After searching again, I came across this and now I'm so glad that I didn't waste my time going out there.

I didn't even remember applying, I checked my email and it showed I had submitted an application at 5am yesterday, which is impossible since I was asleep during that time. Also when I got the first phone call, it wasn't made clear where they were calling from. They did not say Telecom Solutions, but something else which led me to believe it was another job I had applied for until I got the email confirming the interview.

Wow...thank you for posting the above comments, regarding your personal experiences regarding this firm and apparently, other offices as I was contacted by the Thousand Oaks office.

I'm am so grateful for your posting's. It's sometimes difficult to sort through the BS that's out there. I was suspicious when I visited their website, which led me to look further and find your comments listed above.

I saw a very interesting job on Indeed talking about an Entry Level Representative- Entry Level Marketing. From the get go I should have been aware that this was not a legitimate offer but I decided against my best judgement because the posting said full time and paid training. Still just being curious I decided to submit my resume and cover letter and was immediately contacted by *Samantha via email and set up an interview the following day (today) at 10:30 am in Upland. When I arrived to the interview, i noticed a few people walking around in groups of 4 heading out to cars and driving off. Thats when I arrived at the front door and saw Telecom. My first thought was *SCAM* but I thought I would give *Alex a chance and see what he had to say. As I sat down with Alex he looked over my impressive resume and preceded to tell me how he graduated from UCLA and asked about my college experience and said there was another employee that went to the same college as I and how much she loved working for this company. At this time I was feeling a little more as ease; that was until I heard a girl from the office next door explaining to a caller that the office building was shared by Telecom, Sprint and Verizon. Alex* then explained the companies that Flint and Steel Consulting Inc partners and works with; at first I was interested until he spoke of selling tickets to Angels baseball games and compared it to hotel services such as Hotels.com. When I left my interview I was informed that if they were interested in me that I would receive a call between 4-5pm letting me if I am invited back to the second interview. They ended up calling me, left a message and an email hoping to see me tomorrow morning at 7:30 am. What kind of interview is at 7:30 am?
When I got home immediately Googled this company to see what it was all about but found nothing besides multiple job postings about the same job that I had applied for on Indeed and Craigslist. Might I add, whoever posted on Craigslist halfway through the job description spelled the company's name wrong! I then Googled the phone number and found all of these helpful comments and found out that my intuiton about this company was in fact true.

First off, I am so glad I decided to look this place up before I wasted my time and entered the "illustrious second interview."

Received a phone call from "Sarah" informing me that the company was interested in interviewing me. The hiring window was closing, but they could fit me into a quick interview the next day. Drove out there for a 10:15 am interview located in your standard office building. First red flag was that on the window on the entrance doors there wasn't even a logo for "Flint & Steel" but two completely different companies (whoops!). Went to the receptionist to fill some paper work and the office was pretty bare with about 6 others sitting filling out the same form. I met with Aaron, who told me about himself and the company. He was a USC grad who was looking for a way into sports, like myself, and that Flint & Steel provided him that opportunity. He went onto explain how they're clients included the Angels, Kings, and Reign and how they provide ticketing packages for corporate businesses in order to increase stadium revenue for their clients (concessions, souvenirs, etc.) He quote on quote said "this isn't a sales position, no door-to-door or cold calling." Upon hearing that I said great! He told me compensation typically starts at 30-40k depending on "qualifications". Considering he didn't even bother looking over my resume, I have no idea how these "qualifications" are even determined. Anyways, I was an idiot and bought everything he was selling. He told me "I like you man!" and proceeded to invite me for a second interview and asked if 7:30-8 am worked. I said sure! A bit confused, I called the office later to determine what time I was expected to show up for the Monday interview and the receptionist told me Aaron would be in contact with me via email with the details. I received an email from Aaron later and it still didn't mention anything about when the second interview was scheduled for, but that I earned one. Great, so I got a second interview but don't know when I am even supposed to come in for it? Sounds like this company has fantastic planning!

Anyways, screw this place and don't waste your time. I feel like an idiot, but the way everything is worded and sold is a complete scam. There's no integrity or honesty right off the bat. Can't believe places like this are even able to stay in business.

I gotta a call and then an email. I googled the number and then this popped up. I had 5 or 6 phone calls today and googled all the numbers and got messages for interviews and emails. Well I sent them a message back and said NO THANK YOU AND YOU SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF YOURSELVES. It's almost sickening looking for a job. No one calls you back and if they do they are scammers. Even had an offer for a personal assistant and then when I researched it found out it was a scammer to. Just sick of this crap. And this is the email I got from them.

Dear Kimberly Diane,
Thank you for your interest in our account representative position. After reviewing your resume, we feel that you have a lot of the qualifications that we are looking for.
We have attempted to get in contact with you, and have left you a message regarding setting up an interview with our hiring manager. We would like to fill six promotional marketing positions as soon as possible. To schedule an interview, please contact our Human Resource department at 909.303.3887.
Thank you and we look forward to hearing from you!

I forgot exactly where I found the job posting to flint and steel consulting marketing position. I just needed a job upon graduating college and the posting called to me given that it stated no experience needed since they train you.
I received and email inviting me to an interview but given that it wasn't my first choice for what I'd like to do, I never called in. About a few hours later they called me therefore I accepted and went in. Met with Aaron, he had a degree from USC and claimed he did well. Second interview was with a guy named Taylor and same deal with him.
But this job is the stupidest job and scam ever. Taking this job for two days was a disgrace to my 4 year degree.
It was iffy to me but figured it a job, they have a degree and work here, it will be fine. But nooo
1. Make you go in at 7! Just to practice how you'll approach strangers at their better employment than yours to sell them tickets. And don't leave the office until 9 am
2. You get dropped off in random business buildings and wander and annoy ppl at their jobs. Walk in the heat from door to door
3. Still have to go gather at the office. Leave around 530
4. Also I applied to a position in riverside, but the Sunday before I started I got told they would be at the OC office for a week or so since they were barely starting the riverside office. My dumb### agreed and wasted more time abs gas.
5. Quit after two days cause I was not willing to go door to door, work 7-530, driving 1.5 hours each way. AND stupid managers had the audacity to call me unprofessional for quitting the morning of. When they lied about the job posting, hours, and location.
I couldn't care less and slept in great that morning. 3 weeks later found a job 20 minutes from me for $18 a hour. Thank god for life lessons.

I think its hilarious that every singe post on here is for "Flint & Steel, 50/50 Marketing, or Telecom Solutions" when this job board is for "looped In" Does no one else notice that these businesses are separate and have nothing to do with each other? This COMPLAINTS BOARD is all over the place and looks like a place where close minded rejects who have no idea what they applied for go to cry, B###H and moan.

Looked up ‭+[protected]‬ and found this thread. They called me literally a hour or so after I submitted my resume on Indeed. (Seems like they need to check this stuff out). Anyway, they said their company was “TNT communications” and gave the call back number ending in 3887. Someone else called again maybe three hours later from -3886 saying the same thing as the first person 🤔. Next time they call me I’m gonna answer and tell them I’m going to report them because I know what they’re doing.
