I am a good client of Marks & Spencer, been shopping at their local branch, Ealing Broadway over 20 years.
This week I bought two Joints of Turkey. I bought the second joint two days ago & mistakenly included a jar of Goose Fat instead of a jar of Turkey Gravy. I tried to return it today, the second day. The jar has not been tampered it, sealed with plastic. Says best end of Dec 2024 & once opened, valid for four weeks. The staff at M&S were most unhelpful, said I should have returned it on the same day if I was dissatisfied with it. Two customers walked by, were horrified & said that I should pursue it with Management who, equally, were unhelpful. It only cost £2.90!
It is a matter of principle, I am trying to return something in pristine condition & swap it towards something else. Other supermarkets don't take a high handed attitude & behave like M&S! glad to say.
Please let me have your views. Thank you.
