My daughter and I went to the miramar location and had our massage on Sunday April 28th 2019, when checking out the lady said you dont have anything left on this card, I know for a fact I did because the last time at check out I asked her the balance and she stated $55.00 and thats what I wrote on the envelope and then looking into the system (old) there was a charge of $39.00 on that gift card, #[protected] on 2/6/18. card #HR01843780 how strange is it that its the same card I said had a $55.00 balance on.
What is going on? Managers dont help me either. We left a message for Doral to call me and here it is friday and nothing. How unprofessional is this?

I called to make an appointment and was told that I was 2 Months behind on my membership so my account was frozen. Someone else pays for my membership so I did not know that. They apologize and waved 1 month which was fine. I asked if I could freeze the account for the other month and they said they couldn't because it was past the due date. I don't even know what the due date is. They were very rude and hung up on me after telling me if I don't pay April and may the account would be canceled. I have an entire year of unused massages built up I'd rather not lose but I can not come up with 2 months and pay it. They should have called or email that there was an issue with my account back in March when the issue started. Rather then waiting for it to snowball into an unfixable mess.
I was charged for products that I did not receive and did not receive a refund
I got a massage and a facial at massage envy in beverly hills on 246 S Robertson Blvd. I was advised to purchase skin products but once receiving the receipt I was shocked about how expensive they were and I did not want them. I did not take the products and was advised that I would receive a refund and was told that a manager was not on duty but the money would be returned on my am ex. I have called 5 times and left messages for the manager and still have not received a refund or even been emailed or called back regarding this manner. I tried to refute the charge with am ex and I was told to call the vendor which is you guys. I have a current membership and am considering cancelling it bc of this poor customer service. The charge was on feb 9th for 307.54 and my name is Margaret Ashley Williams [protected] and I expect my money returned. I had a massage and a facial and ofcourse I tipped but I want to receive my money back for the skin products I did not receive.

In Jan 2019 I had a massage that was paid for in Dec of 2018. When I finished my massage I paid for Feb. and March with gift cards and was told then I would not need to pay anything till April. When I did go get my March massage. They told me I needed to pay . I also had a free massage gift card. Then after all this I was told I would have 2 massages available for April. After I my monthly payment went thru. I did get a new card so my one payment did not go thru of course, but that still should have left me with one massage available. ( My card did not go thru due to got a new card). So when I went to get my massage today 4 /24/2019, they told I needed to make payment. I do not think the front desk management knows how to explain your contract. I believe if someone is told they have massage available to them they should not have to pay for it either. Please refund my account
membership cancellation
My first issue is that this "company" hasn't billed me and then took upon themselves to back bill me all at once which violates my contract. I was supposed to pay you for a service and you're supposed to take that payment monthly. Not choose when you want to take it. So, naturally I called to ask the steps necessary to cancel and was told I couldn't. When I asked for corporate's number all of a sudden lindsay didn't have it. I'm not doing a lot of back and forth on the phone that's for sure= and seeing as how a company already don't have the best reputation when it comes to this it would seem that you would want to be helpful. I also fine it interesting that the company does not provide steps for cancellation on its website. Another way i'm sure they are going about business the wrong way.

I had the unfortunate mishap of dealing with a manager named makayla at the shrewsbury new jersey massage envy. This was my first visit to this location so I was called to find out exactly where they were located. It was 9:30 in the morning and they did not answer the phone so I left a message. 30 minutes later they had not returned my call so I called back. I told them I had left a message but no one called me back so I was calling again for the location and I got a ration of s _ _ _ _! We are very busy, you called at a time when we're checking clients in & out, there must be something wrong with our phones I never got a message, every excuse except for where they were located. Being in customer service myself I hung up and I was so upset I decided to call back and speak to a manager but guess who the manager was.. Makayla the same girl that I spoke to the first time! This time she was nasty and so I asked to speak to a manager above her and she told me it was lauren but didn't know when lauren would be in so 35 minutes later here I am sitting waiting for lauren to call and of course she hasn't. I'll bet that phone call and never comes! Needless to say i've been a member for over 10 years and I will be quitting this membership today! Do not join massage envy! You'll need a massage just to relax after dealing with them!
inability to transfer membership
I have been a supporter and had a membership for years. I even have purchased massage gift cards for my kids' teachers multiple times for gifts. I recently moved to a new city, & found out that the company charges much less for a membership here. They wouldn't let me transfer membership, so I had to cancel and then lost my remaining balance of massages because I couldn't use them all in the time frame.

Just adding to the thousands of complaints on this company...Twice, back to back, I drove 1-1/2 hours to the establishment in Baton Rouge, LA Citiplace branch only to be told that my massage therapist wasn't in. Twice, they claimed to have called me and left a voicemail. No sign of a missed call and surprise surprise, no voicemail! No recourse, but if you dare not to call 3 hours before YOU cancel, you will be charged $20. They lie, cover for each other and attempt to make YOU feel like a [censored].
It's a major hassle to book an appointment and it seem you're troubling them. Major money down the drain with this company. Buyer beware because this is not an isolated case, it's a running theme. What a scam.

I have been a member of Massage Envy since 2012 and over the years service has gotten to the point where you cannot make an appt for weeks because they are booked but when you go there no one is ever there. They cannot keep massage specialist - they have constant turnover and some do not even have the skill to do a massage correctly. There is nothing worse than paying $100 for someone to just rub lotion on you. I tried to cancel my membership to be told that I have to pay for the month before they can cancel it! what a scam, membership was due on the 22nd and I canceled on the 25th, and they couldn't even let it go... I will not be paying anything to the membership and as far as I am concerned it is canceled.

Extremely poor management. Unprofessional and she does not return phone calls or emails. Was checking out and manager refused to help a girl who was apparently "new" who had a line forming. I've been cancelled on because my therapist took time off and they decided until the last minute to call and reschedule me. (not therapists fault) whoever owns this location needs to seriously rethink who they have managing their location. Bathrooms are not tidy and carpets are always littered with dirt lint etc. Poor management!
billing and massage envy removing over 25 of our prepaid massages
My husband and I went for a couples massage at massage envy in rockwall last night. We had automatic draft from our credit cards for years and had accumulated over 20 massages each due to my husband having knee surgery and not being able to get a massage for awhile plus I was taking care of him. After over a year of complications from the knee surgery and physical therapy, I requested that massage envy rockwall place a "hold" on our account until we could catch up on using our massages. They stated no problem that we could do that but would have to pay a one time payment on $20.00 each. I personally went into the rockwall massage envy last october and paid with my credit card to put holds on our accounts.
Last night, when we arrived home after our first massage in a long time (it was nice), I receive a phone call from the massage envy from one of the girls at the desk stating that she made a mistake and that my massage was taken care of but that my husbands was not. She wanted to know how I wanted to pay for that. I sad "what? He has over 25 massages to use" she stated no that he lost those when he never paid his $20.00 hold fee. I told her that I personally went in and paid for both of the $20.00 fees in october at the same time. They stated that they were sorry but because we did not pay the $20.00 we lost over 25 pre paid massages! We have filed a complaint to the attorney general and are filing with a consumer advocate and have a call into to the local news investigator. We will be sending a demand letter to reinstate my husbands massages and if that doesn't work, we will file in small claims court. We were never sent a letter or notice or anything.
This is just bad business and they were very rude at massage envy when I called back to speak to the manager.

I would like to make a compliant about a massage that was gifted to Yolanda Hadley [protected]). She received the massage on 2-21-19 (Mid Towne) and stated that the masseuse was sick which caused her not to do a good job. Also, she stated that her massage was not an hour. She stated that she went into the room and was undressed and started at 4pm and she was at the counter checking out at 4:40pm. She stated that she told whomever was working the desk about her experience and nothing was said other than, " would you like to apply for a membership" I apologized to her because I have never received a service like that or those I have gifted a massage always have had a great experience. Is there any way she is able to get a replacement massage? This message was sent to the location over 2 weeks ago with no response.
