Matchdoctor.com is seemingly run by a couple of geeks in Florida. Theoretically it is a date site, but you never hear of anyone actually dating there. The atmosphere is not conducive to that sort of thing. Mostly it is just online forum chatter, and a comparatively very small membership base. If some do arrange to meet privately, then that's the exception rather than the rule.
Apparently at one time they had a chat room, but they discontinued that. Probably too maintenance intensive.
The primary Moderator at matchdoctor.com, dubbing himself "ForumMod" who seemingly yields all the real power there, (clearly over and above the site owner, who never says a word), is a left-wing extremist and will attack anyone who dares disagree with him or anyone else who regularly kisses his .. well, his ample posterior. He tries to humiliate anyone who doesn't agree with him, in public, but he's not very verbally or intellectually astute, so turning the tables on him is just way too easy to even bother with.
Or, he'll attack and even ban members if they disagree with any of the current administration's policies, or are not a huge fan of Obama or Nancy Pelosi. He still has a LOT of growing up to do, and very poor awareness of how things like politics, OR public forums, or debates, actually work.
It is a place where management arrogance and ego abound, without the slightest concern for fairness or differing points of view. In short, they will ban you, if you voice differing opinions, and where the primary moderator, "ForumMod", openly refers to himself as "God", without any boundaries based on anything but his own whims. He appears to be a very insecure individual, badly in need of bolstered confidence and probably medication.
Matchdoctor.com is the ultimate demonstration in immaturity. Not even worth the effort of a single click, let alone filling out their exhaustive profiles. If you enter into any discussions such as the Political or the Spiritual Forum areas, be prepared to lose hair and tooth-enamel from immense frustration, in the process of trying to communicate logically with other members, in spite of intense management censorship and bias.
Freedom of speech at Matchdoctor.com, is laughable! Absolutely NOT a recommended place to spend any time. At least not unless you need a good belly-laugh at their expense. Then, possibly. It is silly enough to be hilarious at least. In spite of their dismal membership level, they are actually trying to thrive in the realm of dating and social-networking sites. But they would be lucky to bring up the rear.
It doesn't get any worse than that. Oh, and complaints to the higher-ups, if there even is such a thing, invariably go unanswered. They very well may be intercepted enroute. The place is merely a playground for a very neurotic individual-in-charge, (possibly 2 or 3), and with little to no management in place beyond that.

Matchdoctor mods do not ban because people are not a Obama supporter-mod banned far more people before Obama even considered running. It is more likely that the mod lets rude pompous ### get away with bullying and insulting people they THINK are libs just because they don't agree with them/.
Often, their "facts" have been checked and they are wrong, and when you try to redirect by posting a differing view, they follow you around and harass you. Mod does nothing about the bashers now days. They used to, and the person almost always deserved it.
People DO date there, MANY. People complaining like above Obama complaint (lol-how wrong they are)probably cannot get a date, because of their own downfalls. Be honest about yourself and to others, don't bully. You probably will find someone to hook up with, and it may take time. I have dated 5 different ones, almost 6 others, but have made a lot of friends. Good people. Some have even married./ Members support others in illness and strife, attend weddings and funerals. It is people like above that destroy it.
If anything, my complaint is that the mod is too lenient. Perhaps the above person has been banned for being obnoxious. And they should be.

It is NOT a dating site - nobody dates or even talks about a date - most have dated in a decade. Average age is retirement age. A few hog the blogs with political cut and paste crap that takes no intellect, just to stir the pot. A few respond with a disseration on their views, but get anilated by the bullies ganging up and making very personal remarks, which are tolerated even if reported. Its a stupid place, with mentally unstable people, who have no interest in dating. And any normal person would not find the regulars attractive. The men are short, angry and ugly. The women are old, fat and mean. And if you find anyone nice on there, they are already taken, but troll there for some extra action.
Clearly, you don't like MD. The site is a mix, I have dated and did actually marry a person I met there...but would hardly call it a success, the marriage that is :-)
Some of the members are quite pleasant, and many have remained since the origins of the site.
The downside is it is riddled with spammers, so to find a genuine member is tough.
The management of the site is not the best, that's clear. However, the initial concept was good, and came before the huge popularity of Facebook or Badoo..
It's a shame the management did not update the format, clearly web based into apps.
Nobody likes that site. Maybe a dozen real people and a few of them have multiple profiles or sockpuppets. The rest are scammers. If you read the blogs or forums, it's all fighting, name calling, running off anyone new, no interest in dating at all. The most boring and ugly people are on there- who would date any of them? Sad place.
I visit once in a while just for giggles. I did have success with their companion site adultmatchdoctor.com more than 5 years ago. That site has all but died.
Most of my messages are from spammers. The stilted wordy message and profile with a request to reply to their email.

Yep. Poorly moderated.
It is a shame because it has a small town appeal that could work.
