I was called at my employers office and told that if i did not begin paying her (Fayrouz Lambert) immediatly she would have me arrested and thrown in jail. McCarthy Burgess & Wolff employs criminals' like Fayrouz Lambert and they let her get away with this stuff.

When Fayrouz Lambert from McCarthy Burgess & Wolff called me and made those threats, I immediatly hung up on her.

About 15 minutes later she called another line at my employer and boss answered and asked her not to call there anymore.

She told my boss that I was a deadt beat and he should fire me.

He recorded the conversation and called the Cleveland Ohio police department.

I had a $22.00 - 3 year old phone bill and they said with the late fees, I owed just under $1, 500.00 with the penalties.

I called sprint and paid the original $22.00 and the $8.00 late fee from my cell phone.

I have decided to help out the other victims of McCarthy Burgess & Wolff.

1) Never pay them a penny
2) Call the original creditor and pay them
3) report them to the police
4) Fax them at: [protected] and tell them not to call you or hound you.

Ms. Melton did you ever call this company back to see if you do owe them money or one of their clients money? If your boss recorded the call, why didnt he send it to the owners of the company instead of to the local police? What is the police going to do ? It's a civil matter. Instead of writing things about a company, how about digging into the problem first. This company does not collect on cell phones. They collect from companies that owe money not consumers. If your account was turned over to a collection agency, how can you sit there and say that YOU are the victim? The victim is the creditor who thought you were going to pay your bill on time like you said when you signed your name on the dotted line. You can write, call, fax, email the company to not contact you anymore. But that doesnt mean the bill just goes away.

I have had the same problem with this company,
I have a contract with a telephone directory for a business listing, the sales rep for thie directory listing company that I have been with for five years left but befor she left she added several products to my package that I didnt authorize, I tried to work with the listing company after my bill was increased by several hundred dollars monthly, I have had the same listing for five years and renewd yearly, without making any changes, it took 6 months for the company to tell me that the sales rep had been let go, I have submitted per their request copies of checks and my drivers liscense to verify my legal signature and it takes 2 to 3 months for them to respond to me, my account has been passed around (people quit or get fired) and I have to start all over and submitt paperwork that was already sent to them, my account was turned over to McCarthy Burgess & Wolff and I have been relentlessly hounded, calls email, letters I explained the situation and was threatend with law suits leins, jail ect I asked to be contacted by mail and stated frankly that I refused to pay for fraudulant charges over $3000.00 and they keep harrassing me the agent is verbally abusive beligerant, condisending, rude and has threatend actions that they legally cant enforce, by the way I no longer own the company that is being billed and have stated that to them, I also wrote and faxed them this info, I understand they are doing a job but it takes a certain kind of person to do this job, ignorant bottom feeding, low IQ, Im having to hire an attorney to go after the listing company and whats funny is they will never collect one red cent from me,
and I personally feel sorry for the collection agent, imagine going to work every day knowing that you are dealing with people that dont want to deal with you and your day is filled with conflict and stress, so enjoy your heart attack, McCarthy Burgess & Wolff

Called my home at 9:11 AM, woke me up, hung up before I could answer. When I called them back they were very rude, insisted that my phone number isn't in their system so they couldn't have called. Once I convinced them that someone there DID call, got even more rude, acting like their mistake was my fault. Totally unprofessional and rude people.

Anyone can file a Cease & Desist order through a 3rd party such as the BBB & you will have proof of a third party service on any collector! This is the complaint we filed on their BBB file...

We received a voice mail from a "Sunday West" on 06/21/16 @ 10:16 am from [protected] ext 2327 regarding a business matter. She left personal information on a business voicemail where other employees were able to listen to the recorded message. This is illegal & just found out she is also calling relatives cell numbers which are not public information & is also illegal. We have a recorded call from this same person left on 06/21/16 at 10:19 am on a relatives cell# that has not nor ever worked for our corporation! She stated it was in regards to a business matter that requires immediate resolution. We have corporate attorneys which handle any and all legal matters, which after speaking with our legal team, we were informed that there are no legal matters pending at the present time. We are submitting this complaint as false and erroneous and are also requesting an immediate cease and desist of all communication from any employee or representative that is associated with McCarthy, Burgess and Wolff collections to any and all e-mail address, business, fax, home & cell telephone numbers they have in their possession which pertain to our business or personal lives. Any violation to this request will result in any and all immediate legal remedies that our corporate attorneys so desire. Here was their response:

On June 20, 2016, YP placed an outstanding balance with our office alleged to be owed by ELS for unpaid advertising services. Our account representative called the number provided by Mr. D ending in 5466 twice on June 21, 2016 in an effort to reach someone to discuss the debt. During the first call, the person who answered the call terminated the call without providing any information. No calls were made to any other numbers on this account by anyone from our office. Per Mr. D's request, we have closed the file in our office as cease and desist and returned it to YP for further handling.

Thank you, R

Liars ! As their same employee left Both of the Recordings !
I hope this will help anyone with a collection problem that they do not owe in the future! Cheers & Good Luck !
