Melissa Corrie Las Vegas, Turnberry Towers Association, manages 222 Karen Ave, Las Vegas, NV, with Nancy Sarlie. Nancy Sarlie was accused of sexual harassment however Melissa Corrie failed to conduct an investigation or ask for more information from the accuser.
There is little doubt as the HOA manager of Turnberry Towers Association, she has keys to the units and access to credit reports, financial information. It appears Melissa Corrie did not disclose multiple arrests for various crimes committed in Clark County Nevada as court records show.
In August, the FBI Las Vegas office reported Turnberry executive "Lazazzaro, who has a lengthy criminal history, was sentenced on August 22 to 51 months in prison." See press release about Turnberry Towers I attached. The mere fact that Turnberry allowed a man with such a "lengthy criminal record" to have such extensive access to financial records creates very questionable business practices that may endanger residents as well as his or her financial records. I am not aware what background standards Melissa Corrie had to pass to have been hired and entrusted with such sensitive information. While being the manager of HOA makes one feel ultra-powerful, I believe being equated to the common criminal is rather humbling.
I do believe Turnberry Towers Association would have a duty to investigate this matter as residents should check to see if his or her credit reports for potential fraudulent accounts. It appears Melissa Corrie, has had several arrests, at least one for a felony, but encourage you to review the court records before making such a determination. My own review shows there is only one Melissa Corrie and that causes me great concern for my safety and who has access to my credit reports.
I also believe realtors should disclose to potential residents the FBI arrested a former Turnberry executive. Also, the fact literally dozens of sex offenders live at or near Turnberry is not a very seductive selling point, but it is a fact.
