M.I. WINDOWS AND DOORS review: LEAKING WINDOWS

We just completed a major (42) vinyl windows and 2 sliding doors replacement project using 1650 series (top 0f the line) M.I. Windows and Doors.I would NEVER PURCHASE WINDOWS FROM THIS COMPANY AGAIN. We did weeks of research before project start and chose M.I Windows because we thought they offered the best price/feature ratio.The picture windows began leaking through the frame from DAY 1 during heavy rain.We were told by the factory that the glass was not properly sealed against the frames, but not to worry they would send a technician to repair the problem.The technician had to come multiple times to repair the issue and one of the windows had to be caulked from the inside and LOOKS LIKE S--T.The M.I. Warranty is very tricky it covers for parts/components and NOT REPLACEMENT of the defective unit.Do your homework and choose a AAMA rated manufacturer with perf.grade the higher the better.Although unbelievably our windows have a high AAMA perf.grade.Simonton, Marvin, and Andersen I believe are quality brands but I have no experience with their products.
