I guess it cannot buy a more believable email carrier.

So i want to know that is that is a fake mail or is this mail is in real from microsoft side it's very important to know me & you also becoz it's a question for microsoft values & goodwill also.

I received an email notification from one Steve Smith on behalf of the Microsoft Award Team UK to the effect that I'm a lucky winner of 1 000 000 British Pounds and that I must contact Halifaxtelebank.com to arrange for the payment, which I did, to see what happens. Instead of a reply from the bank, I received another (identical) email from "Microsoft Award Team".

I also received a notification for £500, 000. They requested me to give some information to make the claim. I was to communicate with a Mr George Simmon on ctc number +[protected], which i did once and when i heard the ascent at the end of the line, i realized that it was fake, so i stopped entertaining these "rien a faire".

I think these people should get a real job, an stop abusing and ruining the reputation of Microsoft, and also toying with people. Also Microsoft should find a way to protect it's brand.
