Worst business experience ever. One star is too high for this company. It purports to be a publishing company, but it operates with a shoestring staff, where the receptionist also allegedly manages the wholesale book order calls. Because the staff is so small, don't expect personalized service or timely customer service. Your phone calls and emails will not be responded to in a timely fashion. I'm confused how it could have a solid rating with the Better Business Bureau.
The company publishing "design" services are minimal, and its "formatter" actually inserted errors INTO the manuscript on more than one occasion, including changing the titles of one of my chapters and leaving formatting code in the book layout. Be prepared to for the company to attempt to "nickle and dime" you every step of the way, including fixing errors that they caused.
I am currently writing to the Better Business Bureau and the Minnesota Attorney General's consumer protection division with complaints about this company. I wouldn't pay them another dime or recommend them to anyone.

No. The will not issue you a full refund. In fact, they do try to nickle and dime you throughout the publishing process. I've published with this company and would not recomend them either. They are the absolute worst. Everything that I read in this post is the exact same experience that I had with them. They are truly the worst of the worst. Don't publish with Mill City Press. Save your money and go elsewhere.
Mill City Press rips you off on the number of books sold too. They lie about the number of books sold. They are crooks. Rip off artists. Don't publish through this company at all. Be aware of Milll City Press.
Thank you, folks, for your reviews. I am planning to have a book published and am looking for a publisher. I always take a look at reviews and take them seriously. Mill City Press is constantly emailing me about getting my book published through them. I am very skeptical after the reviews that I have just read. Thank you for alarming me. It seems to be very difficult to find a good publisher that you can trust and afford. If anyone can make a recommendation, I would appreciate it.
Thanks,
Gary, Ferris, Texas
