Monster Vacations Group review: Vacation package

I purchased a vacation package through Monster Vacations. $700.00 I upgraded twice and was told that I would not have to attend any presentations and all I would have to pay is the hotel tax. I would be initialed to a 1 bedroom condo to include up to four people. I booked a trip to St. Petersburg Florida and was given a standard hotel room for two. In addition, I purchased a separate trip to Cabo for 250.00. My Mother passed away and I was unable to go to Cabo. I purchased the 99.00 insurance in the event I had to cancel my trip. I never received my money back nor the 150.00 presentation deposit. I tried booking another trip to St. Petersburg, Fl a year later and I was told I am not allowed to book another trip there for at least 15 months. This was never told to me in the beginning. When I asked the reservation specialist why wasn't I told that, he stated that its a sales tatics and that they are not affiliated with the company that sells the trips. I recently booked a trip to Orlando instead and 4 days prior to my departure I received a missed call from Monster. They left no message. I called back and waited on hold to be told that they were calling to tell me that the accommodations are not available and they cannot offer me anything else in the area for the dates that I requested. I have already booked my airfare and the $150.00 presentation deposit cannot be refunded even though they cancelled the trip.

The goods and services I was promised, and payed for did not exist; the hotels, resorts, and packages were mis-represented and in some case simply fabricated. It is unconceivable that such an elaborate business could be such a blatant scam.
