I had recently gone to this hospital for severe stomach pain, and was turned away! First of all the hospital is owned and operated by ALL Drs. Secondly, the lobby of this brand new place was a joke. The was a desk where you fill out your name and information. To me that was so unproffessional and people are at risk to have their information stolen. NO COMPUTER SYSTEMS! I was called in the back thinking I was actually going to be seen by a Dr. I never saw a Dr. The woman from registration came in and took my insurance info to process it before anyone would even see me. (Jeopardizing my health) After she came back, I sat there an hour also thinking they were going to take blood and possibly run some tests, but once again NOTHING. I was given a prescription for demerol and told that there was nothing the ER could do for me, and to call a gastro Dr. My mouth almost hit the floor. I have never heard of an ER not being able to help a person. What if I was bleeding internally? There are signs in every room that state that 'this hospital treats all patients no matter the insurance'. I believe I wasnt treated properly due to my insurance. DO NOT GO TO MOUNTAIN VISTA MEDICAL CENTER

A continuation of the first complaint...Now I received a bill of $670.00 (how the fees were broken down: $420 just to walk in the ER, $40 for a shot of got knows what, and $210 for 'miscillanious' services) All this for treatment that the ER could not provide for me. All because My insurance coverage was terrible. Why should I pay a bill when I was blatenly told "there is nothing the ER can do for you"? and especiall tons of fees. I NEVER saw a Dr it was like a nurse practitioner.

I completely agree. I went to the Mountain Vista ER last night for Kidney Stone pain. I was pushed through the system, with the goal to get me out of there as quickly as possible. I had to beg for pain medicine. I was not given an IV as they had no intention of keeping me there any longer than they needed to. They did a CT Scan and told me there there were no stones, and that I must have puled something in my back. Well here I am 12 hours later and I just passed a stone.

I will never go back to this facility and will not recomend them to anyone.

I went to MVMC back in November for a kidney stone also. I showed up at about 7 am after waking up with severe side pains. I went in with my mom. She filled out the paper work and turned it in. A few minutes later i was called back and put in a room. A nurse/doctor (i really don't remember. lol) came in and did tests for appendicitis or cramping but concluded that a CT scan was necessary. But the pain was so intense that after another few minutes, they brought me an iv and a dose of morphine to ease the pain (which worked wonders). After that, i got the CT scan and they brought me the results like 15 or 20 minutes later. They said it was in fact a kidney stone, but with all the pain i was having, i likely had passed it already. And they also caught a stone in the other kidney (yikes). After about an hour when i felt better, they wrote me a prescription for pain killers should the other one pass, and I was released. Total, i was there from about 7, to about 10 or so. I was completely satisfied with my experience at this hospital and would gladly return should I have another medical emergency.

This is a money hungry organization geared toward making as much money as possible at the cost of it's patients! They use young interns (which the hospital gets paid hansomly) then they bill the exorbanant amounts to insurance, which in turn goes right back to the patient!

I have proof that they will overdue proceedures that aren't necessary, just to collect more money!

Plus patienet treatment is terrible!

Please do yourself a favor and go to any other hospital, not only for your own health, but for the health of your wallet!

I have a serious complaint that I am not at liberty to completely express on this site being that it will be in the hands of the family attorney and the BBB has been notified. Just know this, this facility Mountain Vista Medical Center does not have proper sterile practiceses. And I would not recomend ANYONE EVER visit this facility. More to come after meeting with family attorney about proper documentation that was digitally obtained during our visit. Not to mention we took pictures of bugs on the wall in the ER!

Gave birth here in 2008. Had a young nurse keep telling me my son was not 'normal'. There was and is nothing wrong with him. When i had trouble breast feeding they told me the lactation consultant was too busy to see me. There was only one other on the matrnity ward. Then I had not only the woman who delivered meals but 2 women from housekeeping tell me i was lazy and hurting my son because i was not breastfeeding. One of the housekeepers even started reading my chart until my husband took it from her. She gave him a dirty look and told him he was very rude. Now I was employed at Mesa General before it closed and if as a housekeeper I would have looked at a patients chart I would have been terminated and possibly legal action taken for violation of HIPPA laws. This is a terrible place.

My wife has a kidney stone. Long story short: all this horrible hospital would do is give her morphine. The thing is the size of a nickle. I asked how much this was going to be and they said 1000. I got the bill for 10 times that. This is a RIPOFF UNPROFESSIONAL SCAM HOSPITAL. Never again! Stay AWAY from this place.

Having worked there and now seeing a nurse stole narcotics, i can honestly say this is the worst hospital. They keep the entire hospital short staffed just to make money. They then want you to act like your not short staffed. When you cant get everything done because you are short staffed, they want to give you customer service classes to teach you how to not looked understaffed. It is a joke of a hospital. Jamie and audrianne are kidding themselves if they think this is a good hospital.

This is the worst Hospital in the entire state. The nurses are rude, and refuse to help with anything. On the day my Mother died in that place, we had some questions about her condition and the staff acted as if we had put a gun to their head and forced them to do something illegal. I wouldn't want my worst enemy in this place.

19 or more patients per nurse, doctor is rarely seen, unsanitary conditions, patient neglect, no showers available, over 23 hour period for bed wait time, patients not fed until asked for food, wrong medications prescribed, not much offered accept apologies. Poor operation at best. I had to check out in self defense prematurely.

my son came in with a terrible cough due to his asthma and food allergies. They made us wait a long time and my son fell asleep while waiting. We didnt see a Dr only the asistant. She told me she would be right back to help my son and I watched her go to the next room and she never returned to help him. I thought this was a place where they help you. I guess not. We waited again and then finally we left. They want us to pay a bill that no service was recieved for. That is totally wrong. They should be closed down.

I have been to this facility 3 times since 2010, I came into the cath lab to open a blockage in a stent in my right leg, went home to much groin pain, swelling and dark bruising. Returned next evening to their ER to be told I am fine and it was from the procedure and would heal. A few days later with severe pain, my PCP advised do NOT go back to that hospital and that something is seriously wrong and to immediately go to Mercy Gilbert where I was immediately diagnosed with a Left Femoral Anyrism. So damaged then misdiagnosed by their ER staff.
The latest I had this same procedure done this year, stated no urethra catheter was inserted, yet woke up with my penis bruised, complained to CNO, Nurse, Physician on staff to be told it will heal. 7 months later I had to have a urethra stricture repaired and was advised this was a very bad stricture and would require several procedure's in the future for the rest of my life to keep opening the over 2" damaged area.
I have requested my records for my PCP from hospital and surgeon, nothing from hospital yet as I believe they modified the records with my threat of a lawsuit, then the surgeon who does several surgeries weekly and offices in the attached building sent me 32 pages of all records, yet omitted sending any records relating to the surgery or anything from that day.

Retaining council, filing with medical board and am not giving up at any expense until I seek justice.

This hospital's focus its MONEY. I was held in some kind of "hold" unit for FOUR DAYS. iT WAS A 12 X12 WINDOWLESS room, with no privacy and no bathroom-I have full coverage insurance. My pleas for a room fell on deaf ears, they said I didn't meet the criteria! No joke, I even had surgery--no room for you! Run from this place. The ER staff was unprofessional, didn't carry out my doctor's orders properly. Never again.

I had surgery at Mountain Vista Medical Center on 10/9/2015. When I woke from surgery my two front teeth where broken.the anesthesiologist came to speak with me about this and quickly started to blame me. She said I did this to myself and it was all my fault. This made me feel uncomfortable and unsafe during my stay in this hospital. A week later I spoke with a risk management worker for the hospital. She told me it was my fault as well and made me feel like I did something wrong. She also made me feel silly for asking the hospital to pay to get my teeth back to the way they where before my surgery at this hospital.

Hi! I just like to add to the comments of other's who obviously were unknowing about to be had financially speaking by this hospital called Mountain Vista located off of the 60 in Mesa at exit 192. I made the mistake of going there and not knowing I was going to regret it. But did even before I was eventually slapped with an bill just for walking in there twice. I went there for Sciatica pain and the doctor who eventually came to check me out only examined me by asking me to stand on my toes or bend this way or that way and said yep you have Sciatica so I'm gonna put you on two prescription medication. All this after someone before her had a conversation with me by taking my pulse and blood pressure. No other procedures was done. No test whatsoever was done on me and guess what?
about three weeks later some company on the east side of the US calls me up stating that I owe 1200.00 dollars for the treatment after the fact telling me that if I don't pay this amount for the office visit when the fact is they left me alone several times during the second visit. I sat about 30 to 40 minutes before some nurse walked up to me asking to take my pulse and blood pressure again and thats not all. I was ask to pay 250.00 for the second visit.
Well, the bottom line was they claim the my Sciatica situation wasn't serious but yet I'm getting charged 1200.00 dollars for NOTHING. All I wanted was a prescription refill and they didn't want to do that!

Well I cant say the service was bad. They took right in had cardiology ready. First time ever I needed true help. I was feeling pretty good. They were going to release me in the morning. Then the nurse round switched. I had a older woman with a accent. After falling a sleep. She came in and stole over $200. In cash right under my sleeping eyes. Sneaky old lady. Karma is all I can hope for. No one has even reached out. After reading some of these I really don’t think anyone would. Thanks for letting me vent. Put your cash at home.
