Even though my problem with Nicole Methvin/ Ashley Anderson happened a few years ago. I am writing in the hopes that no others have the same experience. I read some reports on the Squeaky Wheel and RipOff about her continuing her deceitful ways this spring. She has changed her name as well as the type of dogs she is selling. Her NightingaleBulldogs had so many complaints while I was going through my own problem with her, regarding a Yorkie puppy. I was unaware of these complaints because I was doing business with her on a different kennel name. I am not surprised that she stopped selling the bullies. Now she is selling small puppies that only she knows where they are coming from. I did a background check on her at a cost of $40 on June 8, 2011. I will gladly share, as everything is on public record. To avoid current buyers' complaints of sick dogs, she uses several addresses, confirmed in the report, as well as her alias. When too many complaints are incurred under one kennel name she deletes it or redirects to another kennel name. Case in point... Ms Puppy Connection link now takes you to her Boutique Teacup Puppies. Now the man she claims is her husband, ( I found no marriage listed on the report for Ashley and Justin) Justin Anderson, has a web link, Puppy Petite Boutique. The 3 kennel names used many of the same props, and I would think some of the same pictures. I did find and screen capture one of the puppies with MS Puppy Connection across it's chest on Justin's site in the past week. Justin changed his location from Brandon, MS to Jackson, MS. and calls himself Jackson this week. I have a screen capture of both names. The one thing he didn't change was his phone number. Ashley lives in Palahatchie, MS, according to her bank, not Madison, MS posted on her web sites.

I will make my dealings with Nicole/Ashley Methvin/Anderson short.
Bought a Yorkie puppy she called Gabi, I renamed her Gracie, for $3200. She came with medicine that was just a "preventative". Nicole told me she had snorted water during her bath. Nicole gave me an antibiotic and Kennel cough pills. I found out what the meds were the next day at the vet's when I took her in for her wellness checkup, which she failed.
Puppy died within 19 days.
2 vet clinics plus one critical care vet clinic where Gracie died after being there 6 days. Cost over $1500.
Necropsy report at Purdue University. Sent report to Nicole/Ashley so she would honor her guarantee registered mail. The report came back to me as she wouldn't accept it. Her guarantee stated refunds only given if the puppy had a congenital problem that causes it's death and a necropsy report that confirms the congenital problem. By this time she had removed her health guarantee from her Yorkie web site. Once again, I had done a screen capture of her guarantee.
The only way I could get her on the phone was to borrow friends' cell phones with a different area code.
She was rude and insolent with me when I did get her on the phone. She wanted nothing to do with me once she had my money. I was out over $4700.

Loss of an innocent puppy has no price, nor does the heartache that went along with the loss of her.

This incident has another part. Nicole/Ashley had already taken a $500 deposit on the same Yorkie I bought. Karen, from LA, had a reserve already on the pup that was to cost her $1800. Nicole/Ashley told her the dog couldn't be sold as it was sick, but refused to show her proof from the vet. Nicole/Ashley told me she had just gotten a puppy and it hadn't even been posted on the web site yet. (it had been taken off the web site since it was on reserve)What she meant was she found me willing to pay $3200 for the same puppy Karen had a reserve on for $1800. Karen saw my complaint on the Squeaky Wheel and sent me an email. We talked on the phone and exchanged pictures of the same puppy we'd both been sold. By this time the puppy was dead, Karen was without her $500 deposit back, and me out over $4700 and no puppy. I think this is called FRAUD! I have all the emails Karen and Nicole/Ashley exchanged.

I wrote the Attorney General of MS. I sent him all the information I mentioned above. Even after all this time I still have everything and will gladly share it. My file on Nicole/Ashley, is close to 4 inches thick and growing as I watch her online repeating her unethical ways. I started this file within a few days of getting Gracie when the 2nd vet to see her wanted to talk to the breeder/Nicole, to ask her a few questions about her littermates etc. I left phone messages begging Nicole/Ashley to call the clinic. After my calls telling her how sick the puppy was, she would no longer communicate with me. I thought for sure she'd at least call the clinic. I couldn't have been more wrong. I knew from this point on where this was going, thus the logging and copying everything to do with her began. It wasn't till after the puppy died that I realized how many other customers had the same problems with her. Many had received the same treatment as I did or worse.
The screen capture is a great tool. If you insist on doing business with her, you need to screen capture any and all information in regards to your puppy . Make sure you get everything you are to get with the puppy, signed guarantee, vet check of said puppy, insurance papers, shots by a vet, not some hand written piece of paper anyone could write, etc. Vet's papers are usually a print out with itemized lists and costs. They have a logo or letter head on the paper. With the excitement of getting a new puppy it's easy to find yourself with no papers or not the correct papers once you get home. Good luck trying to get them. She has your money, she's done with you. Call her vet, insist you talk to the vet, not the receptionist, and not the one listed as a vet reference that lives in Washington state. He's happy with his healthy puppies. What breeder in their right mind would send a veterinarian a sick dog? Insist on getting updated puppy pictures, or better yet, a video. Make sure you receive the same puppy you picked. Make sure the birth dates are the same on registration papers as you were told. Save all emails, if she'll exchange them with you. Ever wonder why she wants to deal with you on the phone rather than by email? There is no paper trail if you need to file a report/complaint. One puppy advertising site said that to avoid being scammed never deal with breeders that want direct deposit to their banks. Well, guess who accepts only direct deposit? Nicole/Ashley, unless she changed her web site once again, only accepts direct deposit into her Bank of America account. Justin/Jackson Anderson does take credit cards, but a large percent is tacked on if you use your card. Is this a deterrent so you won't use your card? He must prefer direct deposit to Bank of America. You can cancel your card payment and Pay Pal will help you with disputes. Direct deposit leaves you no recourse to get your money back or to dispute the sale.
Nicole/Ashley tries to justify why she doesn't take credit cards or Pay Pal by saying it's because of fraud (this would be difficult to pull off with a credit card) and chargebacks. If this were a commom occurrence problem, wouldn't all breeders only take wire transfers or direct deposit? Might be that most breeders sell/send healthy puppies. I haven't seen this on any other breeder's web site yet. This is a BIG red flag.
Ask Nicole/Ashley why she was taken to Small Claims Court 4 different times.

Testimonials online can be written by anyone, including the person selling the puppy. Get phone numbers as one person can have many email addresses. Get numbers from out of the breeder's state. Family members' references shouldn't count. You're better off buying from a kennel where you are more than welcome to their establishment anytime. There are many good breeders out there. Do your homework before buying. Another place is the Humane Society, their doors are always open to visitors. I've seen some tiny bundles of tail wagging puppies there waiting on a new home. Rescued puppies from puppy mills is another place to look for your forever friend. I have a 4 year old, 3 pound Yorkie name Zoyie now, that is the joy of my life. She came from a puppy mill where over 200 dogs and puppies were rescued. She's only perfect in the way she captures your heart.

I am a retired teacher in Indiana, I am not a jealous breeder as Nicole/Ashley would have all of you believe about anyone that complains about her.
Pictures are of puppy I thought I was buying. The same pup after 6 days in a critical care vet clinic in Anderson, IN called Norwood, the day before she died.
Last 2 pics to confirm her refusal of necropsy report from Purdue University.

I was recently asked why I posted my contact info on my Squeaky Wheel complaint. I posted my contact info in the hopes of stopping just one family from going through the nightmare myself, along with many others endured. I have an attorney that is working pro bono and the more people I can reach that have dealt with Ashley Anderson and have had a problem with her, the stronger the case. Even if you didn't get the dog you paid for, I would like for you to get in touch with me. Large vet bills treating your new puppy? Please get in touch. Are you one of those people? Were you scammed by Ashley? You obviously read the complaints, those are just the recent ones. I have a list of complaints going back over 4 yrs from people she has scammed selling her mill puppies. One family almost lost their other 4 dogs after receiving a sick imported dog from Ashley. Another family got a pup with no hip, it's leg hanging on by muscle. A lady from AZ got a Yorkie pup with a collapsed lung, it's heart fell into the lung cavity. A lady in Canada whose Yorkie had to be put down after having her less than 3 days. That's just for starters. Now, ask me again why I posted my contact info. She needs to be shut down once and for all. It will take all of us working together to get the job done.

If you turned her in to the AG of MS., we now have a case number. It's taken 4 long years. It's not too late to write the AG. Be sure and include this on your letter...Case # CS-12-0006. If you've already turned her in, you might drop Mr. Beasley a note with the case number at the Consumer Protection Dept. and let him know you've already filed. She is/has used so many web sites it will be difficult for him to get all the complaints together. He has a list of the web sites I know about. Just found out today there were 2 more I didn't know about. My contact info is on the squeaky wheel if you look under her current web sites for complaints. BBB is of NO help.

THANKS FOR YOUR STORY, really is a mess, the exact same thing happened to us, our little Maltese almost died as well, and yes I do have a long story as well, but not enough time to type. Our babies had Scappie Mange, had 3 weeks of treatment, she was the ### from hell, it was awful...we paid $3, 600 for these Maltese, which now don't even look like Maltese, but we saved their life and that I feel good about!

people not responsible enough to seek out a reputable breeder instead of going through websites run by "Backyard Breeders" and "Puppymillers" get what the get. People like you are the one's who keep the puppymills in business. Thanks for nothing...educate yourself...this is 2011!

Aren't you something to speak out of line, you must be Ashley/Nicole; no one in their right mind would yell out like you just did without knowing the facts; I am a very responsible woman, business woman of many years, and knowing there are many scam artist out there to be careful of and mainly puppies, I agree! I asked all the right questions, got answers that I thought were honest; however, in our case, we went to Jackson, MS with the intent of going to Ashley's house to "watch" and "see" these puppies surroundings, I wanted to see their parents, where they lived, the environment they were in, the WHOLE NINE YARDS, this was taken away from us when this crazy lady, Ashley shows up at our Hotel in Jackson, MS, as we were about to leave to go to her home to pick up these babies, SHE WAS AT THE LOBBY waiting on us with the little maltese in a puppy play pen...I could't beleive my eyes and knew something wasn't right at that moment, but she knew she had me with the deposits for 2 puppies, my husband was so upset with this woman, she was rude and mean...I don't think I have ever been so shook up in my life as I was that day, I'm not a young chick, but a lady with lots of knowledge and wisdom, but this event took the breathe from me...she threathen us to take off with our money and puppies if we didn't stick to the agreement of purchase...all I wanted to do was grab those puppies and get out of there..
Once we settled our thinking down we knew things at that moment were not right, she wasn't right...the next day I took them for their wellness check and they were sick little guys, the health certicate was a fraud, the vet was a fraud, She practically threw at me, and I was just in a state of unbelief with her behavior!
You can judge all you want, but until your in someone else's shoes, you might ought to back off and see things from someone else's point of view!

And your right and I couldn't agree more, I forgot to add that I did ask for references from this lady and she gave them to me, all fake, and of course told me all good about Ashley's puppies, at that point I'm calling and getting the right informaton, as a person trying and thinking you are doing the right thing before buying, when someone is a PRO as this woman is, its not difficult for them to take you under, its their life, as sad as it is today, money is tight and these type of uncarrying people don't give a rats ### who they hurt, who they fraud, lie too, etc., its very easy to be taken in...even doing your homework as you stated. I am in the Oil and Gas Business, Real Estate, built many a subdivion of homes in our area, and never thought for one moment that I would be taken by such a evil person in all of my busines matters, I am very careful of those I undertake and trust, Ashley Anderson is one of those CON-ARTIST that rates A+, cause she can continue to get away with this without being stopped, I know, cause I am one of those people trying to put an end to this ugly ratty snake business she is famous for...

I understand, "Looking" for the Maltese I had asked for in the first place, this time with absolute more investigation than the first time around, this little guy comes from a wonderful Maltese family of love, breeders and show dogs, although we still have our CoCo and Chanel, (saved their little lives) I now have my traveling buddy that goes everywhere, as we have homes in 3 different states, my main purpose of buying a little guy so I would have company on my plane going to and from houses!

Saying that, I don't have a issue sharing my story with others so they can learn from my experience, however, I consider myself pretty smart, but I never consider myself better than anyone else by downgrading their experience, but being smart by sharing to keep them from the same scam I faced, cause we all aren't perfect folks here on earth, but we certainly can learn from our mistakes without being so criticial of others before understanding the complete facts.

Good for you that you are such a smart person and got lucky researching and finding the right puppy in the first place, I appreciate you sharing with others, but I believe there is a way to be classy and a way to be unclassy by how we speak to peoople without the issue of trying to be better than everyone else cause you got it right in the first place, I can only say, "good for you"! you got lucky!

They deal with Breeders who have 40 to 200 breeding dogs.
Wanda Taylor is associated with this group, some how. (Might be a new name she is starting to use)

Read her below lie:

I am Wanda Taylor ! I do not sell Poms..nor have I ever!
I have 5 maltese.
I am not affiliated with mspuppyconnections.com...Nor am I affiliated with cute teacuppuppies
I am the owner of toystarsteacupmaltese...
My track record of selling Beautiful Maltese for almost 16 years says way more than this false accusation.

Your website, Ms. Taylor, reveals that you are part of the problem, not solution. You are selling grotesquely small dogs for ridiculously high prices that someone can tuck in their pocketbook, yet you say they have AKC bloodlines. The AKC does not recognize the term "teacup maltese", and would not support breeding maltese to be as tiny as possible.

Your own website says your target is 2-4 pounds but under "Breed Info" the target range is 4-6 pounds. 3/4 of your Dams are AKC registered and 4 pounds and above. But the only Sire you list is not AKC and 2.5 pounds. So you are intentionally breeding to produce something outside the AKC standard. Are the mutts you sell for outlandish prices AKC registered? They can't be if both parents aren't AKC, can they?

A reputable breeder interested in producing AKC registered puppies wants to further the breed standard, not sell boutique dogs solely for making money.

AKC, AKC, AKC, and another AKC - blah, blah, blah to you Zac. I called AKC and they were not much help. Now the AKC website has a lot of info. Google has a lot of info about AKC too. I am saddened by the hypocrisy of some people.

There is a picture of Wanda Taylor that is 10 to 20 years old on the luxpup website with here holding a pomeranian. How do we know that is you? Because there WAS a picture of you/Wanda on your ?twitter? site where you claim to be a prophet. There you also claim to sell Chihuahuas, teacup ones too. And some where or another you sell Retrievers. This is all bull.
Pom-pom is fine and beautiful at 6 1/2 pounds to 7 pounds; people do not realize she is that big. Pom-pom came from Ashley - not sure how my sister got Ashley's name and number, could have come from MS PUPPY CONNECTION or not. She can not remember. ?Ashley and Wanda are connected some how but we no longer care?
We are just sad to know what is going on out there.
140 days ago by Help 0 Votes

And another thing. My sister did not even think to question any thing. Why should she when AKC is the Gold Standard. These breeders do have dogs with AKC. And CKC - think this how we found luxpup because it is in Canada. None of these clubs make sense and we thought they did. There are 2 CKC clubs. And AKC should stand for American Kangaroo Court; google the meaning of this to see what it says. So, guess CKC is Canada Kangaroo Court and the other Continental Kangaroo Court. We did investigate but just the surface.
140 days ago by Help 0 Votes

Shoud google Kangaroo Court definition instead of American Kangaroo Court. On previous quote - This is all bull - Meant the teacup stuff and dog club stuff.

then -

- Picture of Wanda holding a Pomeranian. Or maybe it is her daughter, little sister. Looks like a picture of a newer version of Wanda to us though.
6 days ago by Help 0 Votes

She is still up to the same thing. Has same pictures of dogs/pups from a year or more ago. Claims they will be 3 pounds as adult but it is obvious the pup is already 3 pounds or more in the picture. She is connected with many "kennels" - if that is what you want to call them. She might go by other names (probably does). People - ASK HER LOTS OF QUESTIONS - CAN YOU COME TO HER LOCATION AND SEE PARENTS? CAN YOU SEE PEDIGREE PAPERS OF PARENTS? DOES SHE REALLY ONLY BREED MALTESE? ASK HER IF SHE BREEDS CHIHUAHUAS, RETRIEVERS, SHIH TZUS, POMS, BULLDOGS, ETC. ASK HER IF SHE KNOWS ASHLEY ANDERSON. ASK HER WHY OTHER PEOPLES WEBSITES ALL OVER THE UNITED STATED AND OVER SEAS HAVE THE SAME PICTURES OF MALTESE. ASK HER IF SHE HAS HAD PROBLEMS WITH AKC? JUST START ASKING AND YOU MIGHT UNDERSTAND. IF NOT, THEN YOU DESERVE A $1500 TO $3000 TEACUP FROM HER. AND DON'T COMPLAIN LATER ABOUT YOUR STUPIDITY FOR BUYING A PUP/DOG THAT IS NOT WHAT YOUR WANTED. AND IF THIS HAPPENS PLEASE DO NOT TAKE IT OUT ON THE PUP/DOG - TAKE CARE OF THE POOR THING AS BEST AS YOU CAN. THOSE PRICES ARE SHOW DOG PRICES! YOU CAN BUY CHAMPION TITLED MALTESE FOR THOSE PRICES.

Thanks for all the comments, great information and another Name to her List, WANDA? WOW! People BEWARE! I not once thought to GOOGLE this woman's name for negative reivews, I pray other folks will take the time to read all we had to say, there's much more involved, but this much should turn you away, it would of me, had I took the time to research, my husband and I were HAD, when she refused to allow us to come to her home, she had our deposit, but surprised us with a visit to the Lobby of our Hotel in Jackson, MS, instead of us coming to her house, I insisted, she had tons of excuses and got angry with my husband...Lesson Learned! Thanks for sharing with me, I can read your frustation, may I suggest you be patient with those of us that had to learn the hard way! You have tons of great research, keep sharing!

Zach - It is a sales pitch thing - these "breeders" get into peoples head psychologically, they know what they are doing. It his hard to explain. They tell people what they want to hear.

Once again, GOD DO UNTO THESE AS THEY HAVE UNTO YOURS.

I think what we are doing right here is the way to go - but if some one quotes some thing wrong, they should say so. Breeders will start to get on here and dick around with people. There is some complaints out on this forum about a 5 year old Daschund that had bad teeth. Teeth on small dogs can get dirty fast. If that is the only complaint for that particular breeder, she is probably an ok breeder. Some people who own one dog let the dog's teeth go bad. Hell, there are adults letting their own children's teeth go bad. The breeder should have the dog's teeth cleaned professionally.

Shocking!

What you say is obvious to anyone who visits the site and does 2 minutes of research. Unfortunately, a LOT of [censored]es will just go online, find a picture of a puppy, and buy it. Thanks for trying though.

Here is a link to a recent news story on puppy brokers in Florida, like this one.
http://www.nbcmiami.com/news/local/South-Florida-a-haven-for-online-puppy-call-centers-118551519.html

The mug shot in this video is of Vineet Chhabra, who ran Breeders Direct which became Premium Breeders, and now Breeder Network - all in the Miami area like their competitor buypuppiesdirect. The registered owner of Breeder Network is his father, Naresh Chhabra. Breeder Network looks like it has now shut down - the 800 number is gone, and the puppies all say "sold". Look for a new name soon to hide the complaints once again.

Good quote from the reporter out of Florida - Type in the kennels name, dog breeder's name, etc and then the next word should be "complaint" or "scam" Example

If researching this web - GiveMeThousandsOfDollarsAndIWillTellYouExactlyWhatYouWantToHear.Com

Type that name in then "complaint"

I too was very unfortunate to purchase a puppy. She was very skinny and frail when she arrived. I could feel nothing but her ribs. I was told the puppy would be 2.5 to 3.5 pounds at maturity. The puppy is now 6 months old and is 7 pounds. The vet also believes that she is younger than 6 months, meaning they lied about her date of birth so she would appear small. The vet got to know her very well because of her frequent visits. The day after she arrived she was diagnosed with two internal parasites, coccidia and giardia, A week later she started losing her fur on her leg and head. After taking her to 3 different veterinarians, she was finally diagnosed with ringworm. She has been on antibiotics since the day I got her. I even had to take her to a dermatologist for dogs. I was told that she has at least 4 different skin fungi and that she could have written the textbook on dog diseases. The vet said he thought she was a rescue dog, and that is what she turned out to be.

This puppy mill group has put cookies and spiders into my computer. They are trying their best to get a hold of our top notch dogs. I am NOT breeding dogs any more. My heart can not take knowing bad people are after my puppies. So - for you bad breeders - all of our our dogs and pups have been spayed and neutered. The top notch ones have already been placed.

It is unfortunate too - I made many people happy with my healthy dogs and puppies.

You breeders are BAD PEOPLE and don't deserve the air you breathe.

PLEASE PEOPLE STOP BUYING FROM PEOPLE LIKE THIS. There are good breeders not breeding any more because they can't compete with these LIARS. Most of the puppies come from Korea. Others from puppy mills in the U.S.

And other puppies from reputable breeders that sell for reasonable prices and tell the truth - the truth that dog will not weigh 1 1/2 to 2 1/2 pounds as these people claim.

anyone looking to adopt a purebred puppy or young adult go to the akc website for breeders. Though those to can be backyard breeders puppyfind nextdaypets etc. always have BAD reviews but I have yet see many people writing about the akc website breeders . At least go to the top and when that fails you got the AKC Club to kick these breeders out

I agree with above post - that is a start. But still - go to the kennel or home. Don't rely on AKC only.
