A Balanced Perspective on Musescore.com
As someone deeply involved in the world of music, I understand the importance of reliable platforms for sheet music. Musescore.com, a hub for sheet music enthusiasts, has garnered mixed reviews. While some users appreciate the vast collection of scores and the user-friendly interface, others have expressed concerns about the subscription process and customer service. It seems that the platform offers valuable resources but may need to address issues related to transparency and billing practices. As you explore Musescore.com, keep in mind the diverse experiences shared by users and approach it with a discerning eye.
They are real

These guys are awesome

Have you ever received refuund on New Year holidays?
Of course it's awesome that people can get assistance during winter holidays, and I think that only the best companies provide such service. But the fact that support has to work this time of the year until $#*!.pm is terrifying.
Do you have any private life there, huh?
High quality service
Last friday I faced an issue with my musescore accoutn. I've tried to reset me pw a million times but was not able to do it. I decided to contact support because i was stuck. The girl who assisted me was super polite and helpful, she asked not to tell her name so i won't. Thanks again cutie
Not sure what all the fuss is about
I'm pretty fond of MuseScore - both the software as well as the website. I've used to find numerous scores for many of my favourite video game compositions. Many of the people leaving bad reviews are simply salty about not knowing how free trials work. MuseScore is not the only company that does this.
I was expecting full refund
When I first saw that I got charged for their service I was really shoked I mean to loose 50 bucks in 2021 is a tragedy. I contacted their support and they offered me good discount but I rejected the offer cause I thought that I was cheated. But then they issued a prorated refund to me and the same day I found their reminder in spam. Sorry guys
I dont understand
Me, I play the trombone since about 8 months, and Im very passionate about it.
I saw some YouTubers use a notation software, and I didnt even know those existed, so i searched for one.
A free and working one.
After a few months, I still think Musescore is a great option for anyone, and I would rate it 5 stars any day.
Anyone should give it a try.
Very Understanding!
The customer service representative that helped me was very sweet and did everything in their power to help me! I was in a unique situation with my arts career and they completely understood. I will say I did not get a full refund, but I got most back and am very satisfied with what I did get refunded. The service was very useful to me while I needed it, and when I do return to the arts I will be using it again!
Very quick and customer-oriented service
I forgot my login details, such as the user, which email address and my password, and could therefore no longer use musescore. I then emailed musescore and received a prompt response. I was supposed to prove, that I had paid the fee for the annual subscription, otherwise I could not prove my identity. Fortunately, I didn't have to initiate an identification process.
After I emailed my credit card statement to musescore, a short time later I received my username and the information of the email address I was registered with. I logged in again and was able to call up a link to select a new password. Since then I have had access again and use musescore.
That's what I call an uncomplicated service.
Excellent
For my MYP Personal Project, I decided to compose a musical piece for the piano. When searching for a suitable app for me, I came across Musescore 3 and downloaded it. It was amazing.
I consider myself an intermediate when it comes to music. For someone of my skill level, the app was extremely easy to use. I was able to find almost everything I needed in the palette (I added extra things that I needed to it). Moreover, I could even personalize many components in my score. In the case I had any problems, I could look at their website and find answers. This last thing was extremely useful too. It is worth mentioning that you can share your score with others and vice versa, which works very well seeing that people are creating new scores daily.
I don't know about the free trial though, as I decided to use the free version all along. So, I won't give my opinion on that. However, I don't think that it is really their fault, judging from other reviews I saw.
Musescore.com Review: A Platform with Legal Concerns and Disappointing User Experience
Have you ever wanted to create professional-level sheet music but lacked the skills or knowledge to do so? If so, Musescore.com may have initially caught your eye, offering a platform that allows users to create and share sheet music with ease. However, it's worth noting that there have been some negative experiences with the service.
One user discovered that they were part of a trial scam, which is a red flag in itself. It's unfortunate, as the service itself is interesting. The user attempted to cancel their subscription, but a year later, their account was still active, and they were charged again. This is a significant concern, as it feels like the platform does not pay attention to the needs of its users.
What's even worse is that Musescore.com forces a deal on users, even after they have made it explicitly clear they wish to cancel their subscription. This is particularly troubling because, as a subscription business entrepreneur, the reviewer knows that it's illegal to create a barrier for customers who want to leave your service.
In the US, it's illegal to charge someone without their consent after they've requested a cancellation, and it's also illegal not to inform the customer that they are due for an auto-renewal. Unfortunately, Musescore.com is guilty of both. This happened for two years in a row, which is even more concerning.
The user tried to request a refund, but Musescore.com refused to issue the refund while trying to force them into another year of subscription. Again, this is illegal. The user is now considering legal action against the company if a full refund is not issued.
All in all, it's important to remember that while Musescore.com might seem like an attractive platform for sheet music creation, the company needs to pay more attention to their users' needs and legal implications if they wish to maintain their reputation. If you're considering using Musescore.com, be warned that incidents like this can and have occurred.
Beware of Unauthorized Musescore Charges: A Review
As a music enthusiast, I stumbled upon Musescore.com when my sister, who is a music teacher, shared a file with me to practice a duet. Since I needed to transpose it to my instrument, I decided to give Musescore a try.
Signing up for the free trial was easy and things went smoothly for a while. I downloaded the app on my iPhone to practice anytime, anywhere, and I was impressed with its functionality.
However, my experience took a turn for the worse when I discovered that Musescore had charged me over $200 for a year's subscription to a service I had not ordered or even wanted. To add insult to injury, sales tax was also added to the bill. Despite searching my email, I could not find any record of placing an order or even receiving confirmation of my purchase.
Fortunately, I was able to get a refund through Paypal, but it was still a frustrating experience. Despite this incident, I found Musescore to be a valuable resource for music enthusiasts and learners. However, it is crucial for users to be cautious and vigilant about any emails or charges they receive from Musescore. Otherwise, they may end up with unwanted subscriptions that they are forced to pay for.
Importance of Virtual Card Services for Online Security
I recently had an experience with Musescore.com that I would like to share. I had forgotten about the free trial deadline for their service, but thankfully I was able to request and receive a full refund in August of 2020.
Now, onto a topic that is important yet often overlooked when it comes to online purchases: security. Did you know that there are credit card companies that offer virtual card services for online transactions? These services give you a unique card number for each online merchant, so if it gets compromised, the number won't work anywhere else. Furthermore, you can set an expiration date for the virtual card, giving you complete control over how long it can be used.
This added security feature has given me a lot more peace of mind when it comes to making online purchases. I no longer have to worry about giving out my actual credit card number to multiple merchants or keeping track of different virtual card numbers. Additionally, my credit card company sends me a text message almost instantaneously whenever my card is charged, so I can always keep an eye on any suspicious activity.
In conclusion, while my experience with Musescore.com may have been forgettable, the importance of online security cannot be overstated. I encourage everyone to consider taking advantage of virtual card services for their online transactions, as it can make a world of difference when it comes to protecting your finances and personal information.
Review: Mixed Experiences with Musescore's Billing and Customer Service
Musescore.com has received some mixed reviews lately, and it seems like customers have had some issues with billing and cancellations. One reviewer mentioned struggling to get a refund for a $69.99 annual subscription they wanted to cancel. The trial period had ended a day earlier than expected, but the customer claimed it was an honest mistake due to misinterpreting the wording. Despite explaining the situation to customer service and finding the service to be of little use for their needs, the customer claimed Musescore refused to refund the full charge. This left the reviewer feeling frustrated and disappointed in the lack of customer care demonstrated by the company.
While it's important to note that this is just one review and everyone's experience may differ, it seems that multiple people have also had similar issues with billing and customer service at Musescore.com. It's unfortunate to see a company struggle in these areas, especially when it comes to something as important as handling customers' money. For anyone considering using this service, it may be helpful to carefully review the terms and conditions and seek out additional customer feedback before making any commitments.
MuseScore's Unethical Practices: A Warning to Music Enthusiasts
We recently had the opportunity to explore the MuseScore website with the intention of accessing full arrangement musical scores for three pieces of music for our son's exam. Upon navigating the website, we discovered that there was a free 7 day trial period being offered. Although hesitant, we proceeded to enter our credit card details as requested for the ?free trial' link. However, to our dismay, we quickly realized that MuseScore did not have access to the pieces of music we were seeking.
In an attempt to resolve the issue, we promptly cancelled the auto-renew membership subscription only to discover that we had been locked into a year-long subscription. We reached out to customer support who placed the blame on us for checking the wrong box. We followed the ?free trial' path verbatim and were never offered any other options. It is truly disheartening to see a company operate in such a manner of corporate robbery, deception, and cheating. We came out of the situation completely empty-handed and yet MuseScore was able to pocket a sum of $40 from us.
For a company that professes to cater to the needs of artists and music enthusiasts, their conduct is wholly unacceptable and shameful. We strongly believe that such tactics should be legally challenged. We cannot emphasize enough the need for MuseScore to be held accountable for its unscrupulous and unethical practices. It is our intention to continue to speak out against this egregious behavior so that the public is aware of their cheap scam. We implore MuseScore to look closely at their practices and endeavor to operate with greater transparency and integrity.
Unethical Business Practices: My Terrible Experience with Musescore.com
I recently had a terrible experience with Musescore.com, a music notation software site that offered a free trial. What I thought would be a no-cost evaluation of their service turned into an expensive annual subscription. The worst part is that I'm not the only one who fell for this trick. In fact, over 100 other users have reported identical experiences on various verification websites.
Upon signing up for what I thought was a free trial on Musescore.com, I was not given any clear indication that I would be automatically opted out of the trial and charged for an annual subscription. The site's managers preyed on natural human assumptions and took advantage of my ignorance to get my payment. When I tried to initiate a refund process, I was met with resistance from Musescore.com's front man, Jojo. Jojo blamed me for not reading the fine print on the site. Yet upon closer inspection, I couldn't find any fine print clarifying the terms of the trial or purchase agreement.
Musescore.com's deceit didn't stop there. The refund process itself was equally shady. Despite opening and closing a dispute with PayPal on October 12 (which I confirmed with PayPal), on October 14, Musescore.com refused to process my refund by citing section 4.1 of their Terms of Service. They lied, as their conduct was clearly in breach of good faith expectations. They designed their purchasing process so people will 'accidentally' fall into traps and then profit off their 'mistake'. This is an unethical business practice.
If you care about transparency and honesty in business practices, avoid Musescore.com at all costs. Based on my experience and the experiences of others, this site cannot be trusted to act ethically.
Musescore.com Review: Lack of Transparency and Preying on Cancellation Confusion
I recently had an experience with Musescore.com that unfortunately left me feeling frustrated and disappointed. I had signed up for a free trial of their service and downloaded one piece of music. However, when attempting to cancel my subscription on the same day, I thought I had successfully done so and trusted that Musescore.com had followed through with the cancellation process.
To my dismay, I was charged $69.99 for an annual subscription a week later on Oct 19, with no notification of the charge at that time. I immediately contacted their customer service team to express my dissatisfaction with the situation, and to question whether they were truly acting in good faith with their cancellation system.
As a result of their operating a system that preys upon the fact that people have a hard time tracking the confirmation of a failed cancellation and a large charge a week later, I was left with the feeling that they had taken advantage of me. Had they offered a one-time fee per sheet or monthly access to music, I would have happily paid the compensation that was commensurate with the one piece of music I wanted and downloaded.
Overall, my experience with Musescore.com has unfortunately left a sour taste in my mouth. Their lack of transparency regarding annual charges and notification left me feeling distrustful of their practices. I would recommend exercising caution and thoroughly reading their terms and conditions before signing up for their service.
Beware of Musescore's Payment Policy: Partial Refunds and Lack of Consent
As a music enthusiast, I was on the search for a website that offered music sheets when I stumbled upon Musescore. After browsing through their website, I saw that they were offering a free trial and decided to give it a go. Initially, I was required to submit my card information but as I got caught up with life, I had forgotten all about the trial. Unfortunately for me, I was charged $49 for a yearly plan on the 27th of May. The very next day, I requested a refund. To my dismay, instead of receiving a full refund, they only offered me a 35% refund which I felt was quite unfair. Even after insisting for a full refund, I was completely ignored.
Out of curiosity, I decided to do some online research and found that other users had received a 40% to 50% refund, and some had even managed to get back their total payment. Why then was I only granted a 35% refund? Although it is partially my fault for not terminating the trial, I believe that it would have been courteous of them to ask for the customer's consent before charging them any amount. An email asking for confirmation of whether the customer wants to continue with the plan or not would have sufficed. Not everyone checks their email every day, and I believe that it would be better to terminate the service if a customer does not respond, as it means they are not using it.
As a college student who needs the money to feed myself, $49 might not be a lot to some people, but it is a considerable sum of money for me. For that reason, I was very disappointed with the way Musescore handled my case. However, they eventually refunded me $42 out of $49, which equaled 85% of my total payment. Although it was not a complete refund, at least I received some compensation.
In conclusion, although Musescore.com has some positive aspects, their conduct concerning their payment policy leaves a lot to be desired. Hence, it is imperative to be cautious when engaging with their website.
Musescore.com Review: Impressive Resources, But Disappointing Customer Service and Shady Business Practices
As a music enthusiast and aspiring composer, I was excited to try out Musescore.com for its impressive selection of sheet music and composition tools. However, my experience with the website quickly turned sour due to its unpleasant customer service.
Like many others, I opted for the free trial offered by Musescore.com. The website specifically stated that my trial would end on December 7th, 2021. However, to my surprise, I woke up on that day only to find that my account had been charged for a full year subscription without my consent.
I hurriedly went to Musescore.com's website to cancel my subscription and request a refund. Much to my dismay, I received several automated responses that failed to address my concerns. When I finally received a response from a customer service representative, they were self-righteous and did not offer any helpful solutions.
Despite notifying them that I wanted a full refund, the representative only offered me a partial refund or an extension of my subscription. This felt like a scam and an evident attempt to manipulate me into settling for less than what I was entitled to.
I was left disgusted and angered by this experience, and I knew I had to take action. I threatened to file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and leave a negative review of the website on various platforms. It was only then that the customer service representative pointed out that I had missed Musescore.com's terms of service section, which offered me a $60 refund and one month of service.
Although I was grateful for the refund, I was still dissatisfied with the entire experience. The website itself offered fantastic resources for music enthusiasts, but its shady business practices and lack of quality customer support were unacceptable.
In conclusion, I would advise anyone considering Musescore.com to proceed with caution and ensure they read all the terms of service accurately. The website's features are fantastic, but its customer service can leave a lot to be desired.
Musescore.com Complaints 14
They trick people into thinking they're signing up for a "free trial," then immediately charge you.
I signed up for what I thought was a free trial December 2, 2023. Within minutes, I realized I would not be able to use the service for what I needed, so it was 100% useless to me, and I went to cancel. But then I saw I had already been charged $39.99. I reached out for a refund because I thought it was a mistake, but they responded only offering to give a partial refund.
I searched them and found tons of complaints like this. It looks like their business model is mostly just scamming people who think they're getting a free trial. Any legitimate business that had this many complaints from people who thought they were getting a free trial would fix it, but this is a scam.
Claimed loss: 39.99
Desired outcome: Full refund and apology
Musescore pro subscription service
The 1-star rating says it all. Even more incredible, Musescore sees nothing wrong with how they conduct business. It's really no surprise considering that MuseScore relocated its headquarters to Cyprus. Interesting choice. Cyprus is known for its beautiful endless stretches of golden sands, secluded bays and rocky coves. A tourist's delight indeed. It's also known for human and drug trafficking, counterfeit goods, smuggling and favored by Russian oligarchs and other wealthy people and businesses to hide their often ill-gotten assets. Just saying...
annual subscription
Dear MuseScore,
In the year 2022 on 5th of November I made an annual subscription for MuseScore (username: martacikovic, mail: cikovic.[protected]@gmail.com) In the meantime I was confident that I unsubscribed and I didn't use MuseScore the remainings of the year. With no warning email, I realised that on 6th of November, you charged me for the following year of annual subscription for which I unsubscribed. I tried unsubscribing again and I deleted my existing account.
Claimed loss: 69.99 USD
Desired outcome: Considering all circumstances, I kindly ask you for a refund for the lates payment that happend on 6th of November and confimration of my unsubscription.

Random unauthorized charge
I tried Musescore LEARN and liked it! Yes, the midis sometimes sound weird, but I am teaching my daughter music so it's helpful. I actually wound up purchasing it through an offer that came from Musescore to my email during the trial period. When reviewing my subsequent credit card statement, Musescore charged me an ADDITIONAL FULL-PRICE AMOUNT for an additional part of their offering (PRO). WTH? I had only signed up for the 1 thing that I tried, and in good faith I purchased it. I reached out for a refund of the unauthorized charge but they stated I had also initiated a trial of PRO (which I had not) and the refund was declined per their "gotcha" clause. I wouldn't recommend trying via the “free” trial, primarily because dishonest practices like this that scam people out of additional money shouldn't be tolerated in this age of 100% online transactions. There are offerings from other companies that are more ethical. Stick with the totally free option or you risk getting raked. I am working on getting the unauthorized charge refunded as I have every single email from Musescore to prove the sequence of events. They are not based in the U.S. and don't seem to give a crap.
Desired outcome: Full refund of the unauthorized charge
Musescore.com Review: A cautionary tale of incomplete music, hidden charges, and poor customer service
When it comes to online music resources, Musescore.com is often one of the first websites that people think of. However, I recently had a very negative experience with this website that left me feeling cheated and frustrated. Despite the fact that I only wanted to try out a few pieces of music, Musescore.com forced me to give them my credit card number right away, which immediately set off alarm bells in my head. To make matters worse, the music that I downloaded was incomplete, leaving me with a very unsatisfactory experience overall.
Despite being lured in with a free 7-day trial, I quickly realized that it was a joke: I still had no access to full pieces of music, and it seemed like I was being pressured into paying for something that I didn't really want. With this in mind, I decided to cancel everything and asked Musescore.com to remove my credit card information from their site. Imagine my surprise when I received my credit card statement and saw a charge for $4.00 for one piece of sheet music that wasn't even complete! To make matters worse, they also charged me for a full year of music service, which amounted to $49.99. Needless to say, I was outraged by this and felt like I had been scammed.
In an effort to get some justice, I immediately contacted the Better Business Bureau to complain about Musescore.com's practices. Unfortunately, their response was to simply tell me to file a complaint with the Attorney General's Office. After doing this, I thought that the matter was resolved and that I wouldn't have to deal with Musescore.com again. To my surprise, however, I recently discovered that they are trying to charge me again, despite all of my previous efforts to get them to stop. Overall, my experience with Musescore.com has been incredibly negative, and I would advise caution to anyone who is thinking about using their services in the future.
Unauthorized Autorenewal Payment Issue with Musescore.com: My Experience
Dear Reader,
I came across Musescore.com while searching for a music notation software and decided to try out their free trial. However, I later realized that I had unknowingly clicked on the trial option, as I usually avoid such tactics. Despite never actually using the service since day one, I was charged for an auto-renewal in October 2021 through Google without my authorization, which was processed through PayPal.
I was disappointed that these big companies did not check with me, the account holder, before processing the payment. When I noticed the charge, I immediately contacted both Google and PayPal to request a refund, but received no response. I also notified Musescore of the situation and requested that they terminate any further subscriptions.
I must say that I was displeased with the lack of accountability and assistance from the companies involved, but I still hold Musescore in high regard for their musical offerings. As a Singaporean, I request that Musescore arrange for a refund to be issued through either Google or PayPal.
Best regards,
Vincent Ho.
Musescore.com Review: Poor Customer Service and Billing Issues Result in Theft-like Experience
After my experience using Musescore.com, I cannot in good conscience recommend this service to anyone. While the website itself may be functional, their customer service is severely lacking. The only mode of contact available to users seeking help is via email. Unfortunately, this avenue of communication is notably flawed as the response time for an inquiry can take far too long.
My frustration with Musescore.com reached a peak when I discovered that I had been charged for a subscription I had thought I had cancelled. Upon receiving notification of the charge, I immediately reached out to them for assistance. To my immense disappointment, their reply assured me that my account had been cancelled and no future charges would be made. Despite this assurance, I found that I had still been charged the following morning.
Given the lack of prompt and reliable communication with Musescore.com's customer service team, I had no choice but to dispute the charges with my bank and formally report the incident to appropriate authorities. It is unacceptable for a company to engage in what amounts to theft, and I urge others to exercise caution before using this service.
Questionable Billing Practices Tarnish Musescore.com's Potential
As someone who is passionate about creating and sharing music, I was excited to learn about Musescore.com and their platform for music notation editing and sharing. However, I unfortunately experienced the same issue that many other users have reported - being charged for a full year subscription after my 14 day trial had ended. The unexpected charge of around $65 Canadian definitely left a sour taste in my mouth and made me skeptical about the company's practices.
After researching further, I came across additional reviews on websites like Site Jabber and Trusted Pilot where users had also reported being charged even after cancelling their trial. This pattern of behavior is certainly concerning and made me question whether Musescore.com is truly trustworthy.
As a precaution, I decided to take action and have my credit card company send me a new card to ensure that I wouldn't be charged again without my consent. I also want to emphasize the importance of reading reviews from actual customers before signing up for any subscription service - it can save you a lot of headache and frustration down the line.
While I still appreciate the concept behind Musescore.com and the potential benefits it could offer to musicians, their questionable billing practices have unfortunately tarnished my initial enthusiasm for the platform.
Beware Double Charges: My Disappointing Experience with MuseScore
As a MuseScore PRO subscriber for the past year, I have been pleased with the features and functionality offered by this music notation software. With automatic PayPal payments set up to renew my subscription annually for $29.99, I have found the service to be affordable and reliable.
However, my experience with MuseScore took a turn for the worse when I received a pop-up message on my iPad promoting a new PRO+ subscription for $39.99. Believing this to be a renewal option for my existing subscription, I decided to go ahead with the payment.
Only an hour later, I realized that I had been charged twice by MuseScore in the same day – once via PayPal for my annual subscription, and again via iTunes for the PRO+ subscription. Disappointed and frustrated by this, I immediately cancelled the additional subscription on my iPhone. Unfortunately, this only cancelled future payments and did not provide a refund for the duplicate payment already made.
When I reached out to MuseScore support for assistance, I was met with reluctance and refusal to refund my money. As a loyal and long-term user of this service, I find it incredibly unfair to be double-charged without warning or explanation. This experience has left a sour taste in my mouth and I will not be renewing my subscription in the future. Moreover, I will definitely share my unfavorable experience with others, and encourage them to exercise caution when considering using the MuseScore service.
Musescore.com review: Dreadful Experience with Unhelpful Customer Support
Like many others on this website, I too wanted to share my experience regarding musescore.com. I was curious about the service they offered and decided to take up their 30-day free trial, which allowed me to use it once. A few weeks later, when I tried to log in to cancel my subscription, my login credentials did not work, despite being saved in my browser. I immediately contacted their support team to resolve the issue, but to my surprise, they could not locate my details.
While my customer support case was still pending, I was charged a yearly fee of 65AUD on my credit card. I was astonished by this turn of events and contacted them right away, demanding a refund since I wasn't even able to use their service. However, they refused to refund the entire amount and instead kept the cost for a monthly charge. I found this to be quite unfair because it was their mistake that led to the issue and not mine.
In conclusion, I can confidently say that my experience with musescore.com was dreadful and I don't want anyone else to go through a similar ordeal. Their customer support team is not helpful, and their business practices are questionable. I would advise anyone considering their services to think twice and perhaps look for other alternatives.
Musescore.com: A Review of Their Subscription Model and Customer Service
As someone who was looking for a reliable online platform for music composition, I decided to try out Musescore.com. After a free trial period, I ended up being charged a fee of $49 for a year-long pro-membership subscription. While I was not initially aware that the website had an auto-payment feature, I had only used the site once during my trial period. According to the site's policy, I was eligible for a refund if the subscription was cancelled within 14 days.
Due to the sudden charge, I contacted the support team immediately and they kindly offered me a 40% refund. I requested a full refund, but did not receive any response from them. Despite this initial frustration, I was later contacted by their support team who offered to return $42 out of the $49 charged. While it was disappointing to lose $7 for nothing, I was just glad to have received a refund at all.
After conducting some research, it became clear that the company behind Musescore.com was located in Eastern Europe, likely in Belarus. The names of their staff, their working hours, and the domain registration data all pointed toward this conclusion. While it is understandable that any business would care about generating income, it was disappointing to see that they seemed unconcerned with their reputation.
Despite my initial frustration with their customer service, I do appreciate that they eventually offered me a partial refund. In the future, I would recommend that Musescore.com provide more transparency regarding their auto-payment feature and consider offering full refunds if a customer cancels their subscription within the allotted 14-day period. However, I will say that the actual composition tools on their site do work well and offer a lot of options for users.
Cautionary Review of Musescore.com: Fine Print Costs Me $52.99
As a person who doesn't usually leave reviews, I feel compelled to share my experience with Musescore.com. Initially, I decided to sign up for their free trial but quickly realized that the app wasn't what I was looking for and uninstalled it. However, to my dismay, I saw a $52.99 charge on my credit card a few days later.
Thankfully, I was able to reach out to their customer support team to investigate what happened. Unfortunately, I was informed that I had selected a payment option that didn't include a free trial period, which seemed strange to me because who would willingly opt out of a free trial if they saw that option? I was left feeling frustrated and confused as I had not seen any clear communication about this when choosing my payment plan.
Despite my polite request for a refund or reconsideration of the charge, the customer support team was unable to provide any further assistance. It was disappointing to learn that a seemingly innocent mistake could result in an irreversible charge, leaving a bad taste in my mouth about the company's business practices.
Given my experience, I want to caution others to be extra cautious and read the fine print before choosing a payment plan on Musescore.com or any other service. I hope my feedback helps others avoid a similar predicament in the future.
Musescore.com Disappoints in Music Notation Software: Glitches Impede Creative Process
When it comes to music notation software, Musescore.com is unfortunately not quite up to par. Although the latest version was downloaded and installed, it failed to recognize the user's audio device. Despite attempts to fix the issue by uninstalling and rebooting the computer, the MIDI icons remained greyed out and nothing appeared in the I/O tab in Preferences. This is certainly frustrating, especially when compared to other software like Sibelius, which the user notes they normally use despite their dislike for it.
A quick search revealed that this issue has been reported for over a year, which is concerning given the Studio One's apparent inability to fix it. While Musescore may be an open source software, it was acquired by Ultimate Guitar in 2018- the largest guitarist community website which includes guitar and bass guitar tablature and chord sheets. However, customer ratings on the Musescore site indicate that Ultimate Guitar may be just as incompetent as Avid and other larger music industry players.
Overall, it's a disappointing experience for the user who expected better from Musescore. In the end, they may have to return to Sibelius as Musescore's glitches can impede the creative and technical process of writing and arranging music.
Unacceptable Lack of Transparency and Communication: My Experience with Musescore.com
I recently had a negative experience with Musescore.com that I would like to share with the community. I was searching for a specific music sheet and stumbled upon their website, where I was lured into signing up for their free trial without fully understanding the terms and conditions that would follow. Unfortunately, I was charged $49 for a one-year subscription and immediately reached out to their customer support team for assistance. Initially, I was impressed with their prompt response time, however, I quickly realized that their standard template response was not satisfactory. I was given the option to receive a partial refund or keep the subscription for longer, but when I replied, I was met with radio silence.
At this point, I decided to take action and opened a dispute on PayPal in hopes of receiving a full refund. Unfortunately, my confidence in Musescore.com plummeted when they failed to respond to my correspondence. This lack of transparency and communication is unacceptable, and I am left feeling frustrated and disappointed with my experience on their website. If anyone has had a similar experience, it's essential that we band together and alert the appropriate authorities of this fraudulent behavior. Music is meant to bring people joy, and businesses that rely on deceptive practices do not deserve our support.
I was charged $40 for what was clearly listed as a free trial. I tried to cancel the same day and requested a refund but was told they only give 25% back. I filed a dispute with my bank.
