Do not purchase anything from National Boat Covers. They are a scam, not a legitimate company. I purchased a pontoon boat cover on October 9. My credit card was charged $536 for the cover. The purchase invoice that issued following my purchase did not have an order number, so there was no way to track the status of the order. I placed 5 calls to National; 3 were to the Order Department and 2 were to sales. No one answers the phone; only get an answering machine; left messages asking for callbacks; never got a call back. This company is not real - they don't issue order numbers; there is no way to track the status of an order; they don't have a functioning phone answered by anyone; they don't return calls [b/c they don't exist] and the address indicated on their web page as "Carlsbad, CA" is phony; they are not registered with the Secretary of State, in California as a corporation - a requirement of California Law.

Recommendation: Don't waste your time; avoid the scam

Given the lack of response and transparency, it’s best to contact your credit card company immediately to dispute the charge and report this as a potential scam. You may also want to file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) to protect others
