Dear Sir or Madam,
Few weeks before Covid restrictions came into effect in 2020, I took my leased car to the automotive shop and made several updates. I spent over 1500 changing tires, oil and other changes that the mechanic stated the car needed.
The car ended u being parked in my driveway for the time of the Covid restrictions until I had to return it. I t was close to 6 months that the car was not.
used. I returned the car in August of 2020. For the period of two years I never received a bill for any outstanding balance.
Most recently on August of 2022, I decided I wanted to buy an apartment. To my surprise when I checked my credit there was an outstanding balance from Nissan Motors Inn. I began making calls to resolve the matter and the company began sending me bills. I made two payments one in Sept for 100 and another for $1260 on Oct 4th through a collections company.
The last payment was received as the payment that would settle the account in full.
For a month, I have called Nissan Motor Inc and they won't provide me any documentations that proofs that I made a payment that settled the balance.
This situation is negatively impacting my debt to income ratio and it is preventing me from moving forward with the purchase of an apartment,
Desired outcome: Can Nissan Motor Inc please provide me with a letter or any document that proves that I made payment to them. If this can also be removed from my credit as showing as an open balance that would also be ideal.
