Ovago is basically a scam. My daughter bought a ticket and was given the option of paying $300 more for a refundable ticket. We received an invoice that only stated the final cost of the ticket. It did not include the additional charge we paid and it did not state that our ticket was refundable.

When we had to cancel her flight we spent, literally, one month trying to get our money back. We were not successful. Ovago's customer service is exceptionally terrible. Its hard to get anyone to answer the phone, calls get dropped, they tell you someone is assigned your case and they will call you (they don't).

Do yourself a favor and *never* do business with Ovago.

On another site we received a response from Ovago that was not* an accurate description of the process so I added additional details:

My daughter and I called several times. On the three occasions we got to speak to a person we were told that three different people were working on our case and would call back within 2-4 hours. They did not.

When we did finally get a call back it was at 11:30pm eastern standard time. Who does that!?!

The "review" of the screenshots of our purchase that were supposedly archived, took two weeks during which all of my emails went unanswered. When I finally got a call with an update I was told that the policies on cancelation were clear and that we did not qualify for a refund despite knowing that we paid an additional fee for a refundable ticket.

When I asked for copies of the screenshots, I was told customer service doesn't have access to them.

So, to summarize, the advertised fare of $1039 went up to $1400 with our selected tariff. The invoice we received made no mention of the additional fare. It took us almost 8 weeks to get help. And the "proof" that it was our fault was not available to customer service or to us. The "refund" we are waiting on (still don't have it) is for a little more than $100 on a $1400 ticket.

I don't know who wrote the other positive reviews on this site, but I would definitely find any other travel site. I will be actively looking for other review sites to spread the word on what can only be described as a barely legal scam.

Unfortunately, my experience with Ovago was extremely disappointing. As a gift to my family, I booked three flights to Germany during the Covid-19 pandemic. I knew it was risky, but Ovago specifically stated that they offered refunds for cancellations. The flights were scheduled for 9/18/2020-10/4/2020, and unfortunately, the trip had to be canceled on 9/8/2020 due to international travel restrictions and work restrictions because of Covid-19.

I was optimistic that I would receive a refund since I had all the necessary documents and paperwork to file a claim. The company acknowledged my claims and assured me that I would receive the credit directly to my credit card account. However, it has been almost nine months, and despite numerous weekly requests for a refund, I have yet to receive my money back. It is incredibly disappointing and frustrating that Ovago has taken my money and left me without an explanation or compensation.

I believe that Ovago is a scam of a company and would advise anyone looking to book travel through them to steer clear. It has been a robbery of sorts, and I have been left feeling taken advantage of. They deserve less than one star for their service, and I hope that others do not have to experience the same fate as myself.

When the COVID-19 pandemic hit, I struggled to book a flight. The only option was Ovago. I decided to try it even though I was worried.

The booking looked easy, but I had verify two small bank transactions before my flight was confirmed. It was inconvenient, but I get the security needs.
After verifying, I got an email saying my flight was being processed. The next morning, Ovago told me the ticket price went up and I had little time to decide. I confirmed quickly, but an hour later, I received another email saying my flight was canceled.
I was baffled when Ovago's emails assured me that my two seats were on hold for a certain number of hours, yet someone else managed to book them in the meantime.

Our experience with Ovago was a total disaster. We thought everything was going smoothly during the sales process, but once we booked our tickets, it was a complete nightmare. We had a lot of trouble trying to change our return flight, and it was all because we had to wait for someone to call us back. We tried to get in touch with them every other day, but it took them a whopping two weeks to finally get back to us. By that time, the prices of the flights had skyrocketed, and we were left with no choice but to stick with our original booking.
But that wasn't the end of our troubles. When we tried to check-in online, we were met with an error message that left us scratching our heads. We had no idea what was going on, and we were starting to get worried. When we finally got to the airport, we were told that our seats weren't confirmed, and we had to wait for the gate manager to assign us seats. We were shocked to learn that the flight was overbooked, and we had to wait and see if anyone was going to cancel their flight last minute. It was a stressful experience, and we were left wondering if we were even going to make it on the flight.
To make matters worse, we were the last people to board the plane, even though we had arrived at the airport three hours in advance. It was a frustrating experience, and we were left feeling angry and disappointed. When we reached out to Ovago to complain about our experience, all they could say was that they were sorry for the inconvenience and that they had raised an inquiry with the airline. But we never heard back from them after that.

Ovago has recently been subject to a scathing review as a result of their substandard services and apparent nefarious practices. One customer recounts an experience that highlights the company's criminal refund policy and tendency to double charge fees and seat prices. The customer states that after booking flights through the website, the main airlines refused to accept it and attempted to charge them again.

The customer decided to seek rectification for the situation by contacting Ovago's online help center but was met with repeated messages of information they had already sent and no actual resolution to the problem. The reviewer suggests that the company might be involved in fraudulent activities, urging the better business bureau to investigate it.
