I subscribed to PEO TV Sri Lanka about five months ago. Before I subscribe they boasted a whole lot about advance features of IPTV over Cable TV. I selected about 10 channels available on PEO TV's limited list of channels available for Sri Lanka. They are giving all local TV channels free of charge when getting a PEO TV connection.

After I got the connection, I realized my picture quality is extremely low. I contacted PEO TV head office customer service and complaint. Then they said the area I live in is not properly covered by SLT's broadband network and that is the reason why I get low picture quality on Peo TV. I was so depressed about the fact they didn't tell me this at first place. I decided to cancel my subscription and requested a full refund. They first refused a full refund and instead asked me to wait for few months until they expand coverage. I was so excited to watch the foot ball world cup in June so I had no time to wait for Peo TV to fix their own problems. It took more than 3 weeks for them to refund me money, and that was after several phone calls. People at their call center ignore customers when called for help. They put me on hold for about 20 minutes every time I called them.

If you are living in Sri Lanka and looking to buy a pay TV connection, my advise is never to subscribe with Peo TV

I totally agree with this. PEO TV promises heaven but delivers hell. Picture quality is very low on Peo TV, compared to other cable option we have in Sri Lanka. Worst of it; PEO TV customer support never help us when we are in need. Girls answering the phone keep us on hold for ever. What's more? The choice of channels are limited, so you won't get all your favorite channels in a one package. My advice, spend your money on DVD's rather than buying a Peo TV package.

This is so much the very truth about peo tv sri lanka. I bought a peo tv package when I cam back to Sri Lanka after working in England for 10 years. When I approach PEOP TV office in Bambalapitiya to get details about peo packages, the customer service girls were so unhelpful. They were chatting to friends on telephone, ignoring me and many customers waiting for their service. I some how got hold of one such peo tv executives, and asked about the packages available. She explained me all their available peo tv packages, in about 2 minutes. I asked for more details about the packages, but she was so unhelpful. After few weeks I got the connection, but I have to tell you that the picture quality was so poor.

Don't be fooled by these thieves. They don't have the channels they advertise. It's mostly local channels, which you can anyway watch from free to air.

Recently I got a PEO TV connection and i found the picture quality is very good and i think the customer care also improved because with in 2 days time i could be able to get the PEO TV facility without reminding them.

Hi !

I think the guys who use the PEO ### and saying its good may be mad or they may have some relationship with slt.
TSTV is their trick to get customer attraction.
Peo TV is a ### they charge money 4 all local channels and their foreign channels sucks. Paying additional 400 bucks is fully wast of money
for HBO.In the star movies they repeat the same movies ( ex-Avatar was played yesterday evening and today also the same avatar ### ).
The top most worst thing of slt is they never tells you about the agreement.
If you subscribed to PEO ### you must have to use that 1 year.

Channels are no match to dialog only channel worth is Discovery and even for NGC you have to pay 50 bucks which dialog provide free of charge.

So I would like to recommend you new buyers to go 4 dialog if you have no way
to go to LBN.

when conncting to the peo tv som times it stops in 35%.. and sometimes gives a message that cant connect to server... i complaint about this action many times for the service center, but it still the same. so what should i do for this... my number is [protected]

I'am malinga. Do you guys remember my previous post about PEO tv, those days I hate that and recently I bought Dialog TV it also sucks.Indian crap overtaken.Picture quality is too bad peo TV at least has good pic quality.
Some how slt guys returned money.But now no choice 9990.00 .If I disconnect will loose whole 10, 000.
Its better to buy hoppers for thedog with that money we spend.My stupidity...

Peo TV maintenance is hell. You lodge a complain and within 3 to 4 hours some one calls you and ask what the problem is. Then they agree to send a technician. the same day. Then the waiting period starts. If you can get some one to visit you within two days you are lucky. At last this no good technician appears and he will say that another party is handling it and for that party has to come and rectify it. This will take another 2 - 3 days. But although we have do not used this facility during this period we have to pay the monthly bill.

SLT customer care service is very very bad. I have applied for peo tv in first week of december. (In first week of their promotion period) Even today they cant tell a exact date they can give it to me. When I was going to chilaw office they are telling they haven't required equipments. When I'm calling to hotline they are telling they dont know anything and ask from area office. So wt we have to do? If this was a private company? What will u tell? Most of Government servants are ###. that's all...

Don't every Buy the Peo TV their customer services is ### and they will keep you on hold hours. bunch of jokers sitting their. for a repair they will take at lease 3-4 days to visit. I am having bad experience with them last 2 year. don't waist your money for good fo nothing Peo TV

Don't ever buy peo tv. they disconnect the channel when the there is something special on a particular channel. (eg: cricket matches. ). Bad customer service too. trust me don't even think to pay for this thieves.

The PeoTV customer service is awful. It offsets all the good things about anything good in the service. Buy PeoTV if you know someone in the SLT. In which case you can get your troubles attended too very soon. Else, watch normal TV, Its better for you.

I totally agree with you, I brought peo last week today it's not working, custom care is suck, all they saying is re set the power! None of Technician comes yet! Service is very poor, I'm really disappointed of them!

100% agree with you. i am experiencing similar situation and planning to return the ### soon. it is good to hear that they have refund your money even after few months.
no words to describe about their customer service center bunch. full of Ignorants. Every time when we call them they answer the phone with talking their personal stuff with next person and we have to wait until they finish their talks to tell our problem.

We bought peo tv a month ago. At first everything was perfect but now everything lag. Internet does not connect which mean that we have nothing. No tv, no internet and phone. We called numerous time the call center and technicians came at my place but left 5min later saying non valuable excuses. It has been only a month and we are exhausted of the given calls and wasting time from telecom. But before any fast decision of cancelling the subscription. Do you think all this damage is caused by the weather? Since it rains a lot... Thank you.

SLT services are good only as long as you dont complain. I was using Tv, internet and voice from 2009 and was using the services with so many problems. Only thing was i did not have time to complain as to get hold of a customer service representative it took around 20 minutes. Recently i found out that tv traffic is eating up 4mbps of my total 8mbps bandwidth. so the maximum internet speed i can get is 4mbps. The funny thing is SLT recently adverticed 16mbps speed for the same package. When i contacted slt they refused to increase my speed since i use peotv. The reason they explained was if the line bandwidth is increased the connection will not be established since my line condition is not good. Well i am only half a kilometer away from the exchange. I wonder how my line condition is not good. Im going to cancel all my subcriptions and move to another provider.
