I ordered Bilstein shocks on 10/3/08 that were advertised as being in stock. I was told they would ship next day. They charged my credit card immediately. 3 days later I called to get the tracking info, that was never emailed & was told that the shocks were NOT in stock & were on order from the manufactuer. Should be 2 weeks. After 2 weeks of not hearing anything, I called & was told the same thing. As of 11/3/08, they no longer answer their phone. Just the computer answers and you cannot reach a human. I've emailed also & nothing. Their site is still active, but they must have gone out of business or something. I have filed a complaint against them w/my credit card company for Fraud! Also, I filed complaint w/BBB in their area. This is a terrible place to do business with & gives internet business a bad rep. NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH PerformanceCenter.com !

I too am having problems with them. I have yet to be able to get in contact with anyone on their end. Only automated machine and no response to my emails. I guess im going to have to look elsewhere for my body lift and find out how to get my $$ back.

I ordered the front brembo rotors and halkss brake pad back in July. The Halk brake pad came within a week. But they told me that Brembo just move to Ohio and Brembo rotors are back order till August. When August came around they change to Sept.. then Oct.. So I finally call to cancel the order. They said they they 'll credit me back since begining of OCT. I'd E-mail them and call them but they never email back or anwser their phone since then. I dn't know how am I suppose to get my money back. Yes Don't buy from them they're Probably went out of business or just don't want to pay you back. WILL NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH THEM!

I placed an order weeks ago and payment is still being processed. NO ONE will answer the phone or respond to emails to confirm order.

I too got ripped off by Performance Center. An ex-employee says that they shut the doors on 10/15/2008 and that the president Tony Savasta is the drummer of an Ac/Dc cover band..http://www.ac-dctribute.com

I also filed a complaint with my credit card company, because they owe me $345 for a credit. I talked to them 2 times after the order was stopped and they said they didn't know why it had not been credited and would take care of it. Then they stopped aswering the phones. If anyone hears something email me, Thanks

I ordered 3 strut mounts for my Toyota Camry on their site and paid via PAYPAL in AUGUST '08. They shipped me 1 out of 3 items. They sent me emails monthly saying they would ship the remaining parts when they are in stock. (I got 1 of the items.. so why should I have worried right?) Every month was the same story I would get an email telling me it's STILL not in stock and it will be there shortyly. Now in November.. I was concerned.I tried PerformanceCenter.com's number and got nowhere. I called PAYPAL to make an inquiry to reverse charges and they DO NOT HELP YOU AFTER 45 DAYS! That is absolute BULLCRAP! Not only is PERFORMANCCENTER.COM screwing you.. PAYPAL is turning their back on you and giving you zero help. My ONLY recourse right now is to go through my credit card company which funded the transaction to try to get the money back. FYI PAYPAL gets hit with fees when you use your credit card to pay rather than a checking account. That's why they always discourage you from using it and never make it easy for you to switch funding sources easily. NEVER USE YOUR BANK ACCOUNT WITH PAYPAL IF AT ALL POSSIBLE. You have ZERO protection when you pay with your bank account. PAYPAL IS EVIL. TRUST ME. Their service speaks to their laziness to help the average guy and let scammers like PERFORMANCECENTER.COM perpetuate these fraudulant acts. You wonder what's wrong with the system? Look to companies like Paypal. Maybe THEY'LL be looking for a bailout too.

I placed my last order on 10/4/08. There were four items total. Two were shipped. Got my last of two status update emails for the other two items on 11/15/08. Said they were on backorder with the manufacturer. When I realized the website was down for he count, I called Milodon about one of the items. They told me had no such order and haven't had any from Performance Center warehouse since '07. I'm not sure what to doe about it. I've ordered a number of expensive items from this place over the past couple of years and always got a great deal with their price comparison link. I even got credit for a price difference on one of my first orders. Companies fold all the time. But, this place I've learned by dealing with them, did not inventory anything. Everything was drop shipped. Any money they kept was to to line their own pockets apparently. I'm not sure, but small claims might be the only option here, if it's worth it.

Slick Tony Savasta ripped me off, too. His crappy ACDC band can be found on Youtube by searching his name. Drop by and leave a comment...I'm sure he would love to hear from his customers...haha.

Hello Everyone, after reading everyone else's complaints complain about performance center.com I am one of the victims as well, not receiving my K and N Filter. Is there a way to stop them from ripping off more people as their website is still active?

[censored], I wish I would have seen this post back in June when I orderd my Intake manifold from these guys. I got the parts within a week, I even got someone on the phone and had a few follow up emails answered quickly. I am now having trouble with the parts I got from them and just like everyone else has said they're not answering or returning emails. So just when I thought I could save some money by circumventing the dealer for parts I find out months later that I got jipped. God bless the USA!

Yeah, I don't know what's going on with them. I used to order all kinds of parts off them and NEVER had any problems. Products would ship literally in less than a week and I always had my stuff in a timely fashion. They MUST'VE gone out of business or bankrupt or something because all their phone numbers are disconnected and their website is not updated since fall 08. It sucks though cuz they had good deals... maybe that's why they went outta business. I am, however, grateful I haven't recently ordered anything, cuz I woulda filed a class action suit already and it prolly woulda been a waste of time. This shouldn't be happening either way, it's not fair... I'd be pretty pissed if I were you.

Hope you guys get back what's due to you. Best of Luck!

I heard there was a funding issue & they had to close their doors - it all happened suddenly but negotiations went south...I loved them! They were really decent priced - even with their shipping included & had so many items to offer. I knew a lot of their sales guys well - called all the time. I miss them much! :(

If there was anything bad that happened to you guys - it wasn't intentional - I know them too well...Hope it all works out in the end for you!

I only dealt with them once as I usually deal with american muscle. I bought some slotted rotors and pads and I must say I got everying in a timely fashion and at the best price I could find on the web. I'm in the market for some Tokico Shocks/Struts and found my email confirmation from them in my email so I thought
I'd compare their prices with others but instead I find that they went out of biz. From the complaints I've read, I guess I was one of the lucky ones that got the service they expected. I wouldn't call it great service because web companies are basically taking orders and shipping orders asap. Great service is something you get when you shop somewhere in person and pick a salesperson brain for information. Web shopping is up to the consumer to do the research before hand. Anyway, I was one of the lucky ones that got his order complete.

I ordered a downey exhaust for my truck on 10/19 and was told I would recieve an email with shipping info in 48 hours when I did not hear from them I tried to call and email...Nothing!
It appears that they went out of business, if you call the computer just bounces you around. Their site is still up; it appaers that they still can recieve online orders; DO NOT DO IT! they will take your money and run. I have no idea how long it will take to get my money back. DO NOT DO business with them!

I bought a set of brembo rotors and hawk brake pads back on the 15 of october. Payed through paypal and it appears that for now i lost my money. They're number seems to be disconnected but they're web site still appears to take orders and payments. TERRIBLE business, avoid buying from them and tell others..

I've bought and recieved parts from performance center and had no problems til now. I have a store credit from parts that were returned and wanted to purchase the correct parts, but now the web site is shut down. Does anyone know how I can file a court claim in California when I live in a different state? If the company closed up, they should have at least had the balls to let current customers know what was going on. If you have any information please post it here.
