This Pizza Ranch location at Dubuque needs to be investigated ASAP. The owners Paul & Penny treat their employees so bad, it is a shame! They have gone through so many employees since they opened last year, mainly because they DO NOT care about firing people for NO given reason. It is suppose to be a "Christian based" business and the owner Penny has persuaded many past & present employees to go to her house where she practices her "witch craft" on them...this is so wrong! Something needs to be done about this woman! If an employee does NOT want to be a part of this...they are fired or they make it merely impossible to stay working theer so they quit! PLEASE someone needs to stand up for the employees of this company.

As a current employee of the dubuque pizza ranch i wonder to myself how you came up with this story? Every employee that works here can tell you this is a made up story. Penny has never once asked any of us to come to her house to participate in this "Witch-craft" you speak of. Every employee that has been fired from the pizza ranch has been sat down with the owner and has been explained the reason they are being fired. I have never seen Paul or Penny treat a single employee with disrespect in any way, they have been very considerate towards all there employees that have ever requested days off or even asked for help during working.

Sincerely,
Dalton Schmit

Also as a current employee at the Dubuque Pizza Ranch, everything that was stated above is not true! Everyone that works at the Pizza Ranch are all so close to Penny and Paul we are all like a huge family! As Penny best friend she has NEVER had anyone over to her house to do "witch craft" of any kind. Penny and Paul would do anything for there employees, they dont treat anyone with disrespect of any kind to make someone quit, and to be honest, a few people that quit or got fired Paul gave them a second chance and let them come back! If this is treating employees with disrespect, can someone please tell me what respect is?!

Sincerely,

Brandi Davis

I am also a current employee. I would like to say that the owners Paul and Penny would never mistreat anyone ever. I was a employee that was let go and brought back to the crew and was never mistreat not once while I was there. Even after I was let go I still talk to them as if I was there. They are the best two people that I have meet. They would help anyone of the Family members by saying that I mean everyone of us that works for Pizza Ranch cause we are FAMILY. The pizza Ranch is on of the best jobs I have had as far as sticking together as friends and family goes... I love the Pizza Ranch and Paul and Penny if anything they make work more fun.

Sincerely,

Jennifer Edwards

I also am employed at Pizza Ranch and all i have to say is that Paul and Penny are two great people and i look forward to going into work everyday because like Jennifer said we are a family and everyone gets along. Im not really sure where you got that witch craft junk from but ive never heard penny or anyone else say one thing about that. And did you ever think that employees that are no longer with us just had no work ethics and were a waste of labor? If anything it shows Paul and Penny are great restaurant owners. So i think we all would appreciate it if you kept your comments to yourself when you have no idea what really goes on.

Sincerely,

Jenna Bush

I am the wife of a Pizza Ranch employee i can tell you that Paul and Penny would do anything for their employees and their families. As far as employees who are no longer with them it is because they have been not doing their job. They give everyone lots of chances but in the long run they need poeple who are going to work. Paul and Penny are very good hearted poeple and i hate to see someone making up lies about them and posting it on the internet just because they can. That is not right. If anything should get looked into it should be the one who made this comment. Pizza Ranch is a big family and will stick together.

I am an EX Pizza Ranch employee...and I can honestly say that these allegations are 100% FALSE! There is no "witch craft" involved. Penny is of Native American decent and is proud of it but in NO WAY persuades any employees to go over to her house and practice anything! Although PR is christian based, they do not discriminate if an employee is not. I am atheist and worked there perfectly fine and not harassed for it AT ALL! These people are all just trying to run a business and help the community...and I think it is clear that the testimonials from the current employees shows what kind of place the Dubuque Pizza Ranch really is! I do not know WHO this complainer is, but one thing for sure is that even an EX employee disagrees with you!

One thing is for sure that I am upset at all the drama that goes on in this company. Number one Paul should investigate this matter or Scott to find out who truely and honestly this person is who wrote the above and confront them ASAP . And if Paul has told you that he did investigate and tells you who; Im not totally convinced that he is telling the truth CERTAIN EMPLOYEES PAUL AND PENNY NEED TO STOP blaming certain individuals for this matter ; that could hurt innocent peoples reputation as well as Pizza Ranches. I will tell you this, Scott probably should make a surprise visit to see what is truely going on and talk to the employees to strighten this out. We all know Paul means very well and trys his best but when Paul or Scott are there all stops are made to make this place a success. When corporate leaves and or Paul all hell brakes loose and there is DRAMA, TENSION, CLICKS, FAVORTISIM and BACKSTABBING. I can't say enought that if you do a good job and are dedicated YES Paul is there for you but if certain people want you out, Paul listens and they do make it very hard for any employee to stay. I love the food but the ### can stop at anytime to make this resturaunt a success. But then again this is about survival and if you want to suck up to the people to bring them in and give a crap about them afer they leave as long as they come back then Paul I wish you the best of luck. Change the ways of the crap but not the food. The food is why people come back and seeing Keith! Nothing more!

WOW, I don't know these people personally. I do know a few of the people who work there and have heard some wonderful things about this place of business. My nephew was one of the people hired to work there when the place opened. After about two months he was let go. He told his parents that he was told that he had potential, but there were people who were doing better than he was. That seems pretty straight forward and honest to me.

My family LOVES this place. Everyone is so nice. The prior post mentions Keith and is right. Keith is great. We have also enjoyed talking with Paul and Penny and all of the people who work there. We are always greeted with a smile and are handed a a little number to put on our table because they already know what we want when we walk in.

I was shocked when I came across this. Chin up Pizza Ranch. There are a lot of small, insignificant people out there (First and Last posters especially) that love to try to pull others down to their level.

My daughter worked at the pizza ranch here in Weston WI. She has always been scheduled to work 5-9 but has not gotten out sometimes after 11pm. This is not a good place to work. She is in the 11th grade, so working until 11pm on a school night is uncalled for. She handed then a letter to tell them she is giving her 2 week notice. They tried to give her the guilt trip speech. There management is no good a scheduling there workers. Hire more people! Last night she hurt herself, management said they knew nothing about it, but will call the owners. He called back 10 minutes later and said, " the owners are busy at this time and will call you in 1 1/2 to 2 hrs." SCREW THAT! I took my daughter to the E.R. while waiting at the E.R. the owner call and said she is just saying that because she doesn't want to work here anymore. And she hurt herself before coming into work. WTF! So now they threatened us that the lawyers can figure it out from here. THAT GOES TO SHOW YOU, JUST HOW MUCH THEY CARE ABOUT THE PEOPLE THAT WORK THERE! AND THEY SAY THEY ARE CHRISTIANS! WTF?
