In 2009 my late employer purchased, what was described as a authentic hermes blue jean togo kelly, from plane janes luxury boutique, on the malleries.com site.My employer had purchased many items, before this and after, totaling nearly $15000 in total. The items were purchased for me, her caregiver, with her credit card, for goods protection.I would then repay the sum owed, when the item arrived. My late employer, had build up a good customer friendship, with the reseller aka janet reid, and often sent photos of places visited .Janet reid came across as a nice lady, who went out of her way to help if she could.Sadly my late employer passed away this year.I put the kelly up for sale, in sept of this year. The bag was deemed fake by members of the purse forum, and other sellers on ebay.Janet reid was contacted by myself straight away, and i explained my late employers passing, and that the bag she had sold, was deemed fake. She said she was sadden very much by my late employer passing, as she was one of her best customers, and seemed upset and shocked. She looked at the ebay listing, but said compared to other hermes kelly listings, she could see nothing wrong with the bag.She aslo stated as the sale had been between my late employer and herself, it wasn't really anything to do with me.She aslo stated the bag could have been switched. My late employers next of kin, contacted janet reid and explained, that my late employer has purchased the bag and other for me, and if she needed proof, they could send it.I pointed out if she checked her own photos, of the bag she would see, the fake kelly had the same date stamp and marking as the ones she sold, and was indeed the same bag. Also as many items had been bought after, and very recently, as a long term customer, this should count for something.Janet reid stated the bag was 100% authentic and had been into hermes las vegas, so that was proof.I asked for the hermes receipt, for proof that a hermes craftsman, had indeed looked at the bag, she didn't have one.She told me to place the bag with a small reseller, and get it sold that way.I pointed out, i could not do this, if the bag had been deemed fake.I needed to find out the truth.I told janet, the bag would go into hermes manchester, and thats where it went.A staff member phoned me back, informing me the bag was fake, and to send it to paris, was a waste of money.I relayed this to janet, giving her the store phone number, so she could check for herself. The bag went to paris, as this way hermes sends a letter, clearly stating why the bag is fake, at a cost of £140 for shippng as well.It took a while for the bag to come back, but it came back as fake.Janet reid was told of this, and said she would consult her lawyer, she never replyed to any emails after this. She had been in contact with myself, and my late employers, next of kin and now executor right up to the point when hermes said the bag was fake by email.Janet reid now claims, not to know what my motives are for posting on another forum or who i am, as i did not have a malleries account, or buy anything from malleries myself.I've never said i did, its been made very clear, my late employer did.The malleries order number Mal-165-2435 order 3531 .Janet clearly doesn't want to refund the $5000 for the fake bag she sold to the next of kin, and as now passed, is hoping she can get away with it that way.It saddens me, you seemed so upset by my late employers passing and came across as very nice in your email, but i guess that was fake too.
I just purchased a bag from her, had it authenticated at LV. She gives everyone 3 days to return the bag and guarantees authenticty. As with any seller it's important to get the bags authenitcated, I had a great experience with her!
When I saw this I got nervous because I purchased 2 bags from them already. I immediately took both bags to get them "cleaned and repaired" ( because I know they don't clean replicas ), and after a few weeks the bags came back fully serviced and like brand new. I even had my initials heat stamped on one . Sorry you had that experience but I am pleased with my bags.
