I have complained about the post office on 1234 st johns place and troy for months and nothing have been done first of the customer service sucks the lines are always outrageous and there is only one teller at window number 5 clerk 11 you wait every time you go there for a least 30-45 before being served then when you get the window the teller always has a attitude. You never get greeted or service correctly then when you ask for the supervisor she comes to the window and she don’t want to even help you then you don’t mean to get rude but after standing in line for so long we should be pissed off. Packaged are never being delivery thank god for delivery confirmation cause you never have no idea what’s going on with the package because they lie about leaving info notices every since i have lived here i have never received a notice i have the delivery confirmation and they still cant find my package one item i have been waiting for i had to file a claim cause they mistake one day i called to check it and they said oh its on the truck the next day i go to pick it up cause it was never delivered they cant find it the telephone always ring out and then when someone decides it ringing to long they answer and never want to give a name they don’t wear name badges so when you get to the window you have to buy something just to see a clerk number on a receipt but its always the same one anyway. They pretend to got to the back and look for your packages and come back to say its not here then get a attitude cause now we have questions of why know one seems to no never no why you fill out the complaint and they go unheard because you telling it to a supervisor whose on they side so I wanted to go to someone higher.
Do you know the name of a regional supervisor or someone higher up in the post office we can contact about this post office? Then we need signatures, about one thousand of them with the same problems we are having at this post office. Only then will you see changes at this location. Example six people, everyone takes a day and stand outside and get signatures which will be no problem till we reach one thousand. They will change the entire staff there. It happened in manhattan.
I agree with this guy its outrageous. I actually travel an extra 5 miles to goto another po.
the St. Johns post office has been sending my mail back and i found out, they are stamping return mail no forwarding address. I have complained that i haven't moved, and nothing has been done. I'm not getting my mail because of this.
I was at the post office at W. Colfax and Oak Streets today Jan.22,2008. An elderly lady tried to ask the clerk Jack a question she said to him excuse me, several times. He was waiting on another person, I know she should have gotten in line to ask him, but there were about 6 people in line, he could have at least acknowledged her. When she did get to the counter he very loudly stated to her "Don't ever lean over and say to me excuse me, excuse me," everyone in the post office could hear him and I thought this was very rude to call her down so loudly. He could have in my oponion said to her quietly when she tried to get his attention, he would wait on her when her turn came. Not so loud that everyone could hear him. This is not the first time I think he has been rude, he never says hello or thank you. If he doesn't like his job why doesn't he get a job he really has to work at. Thank you for your time I know his attitude will not improve because nothing will be said to him.
St. John's Place PO is the worst. The mailperson lost the key to our building. The mail is either not delivered or delivered to the wrong person. The mailperson got pissed because he had no key and stated he was not going to deliver mail to us until he gets a key.
The St John's post office line moves slower than the rotation of the earth. I also had problems getting a package (I'm new to the neighborhood)... no delivery notice, then when I waited an hour in person they apologized and said it was on the truck... thought it was just me, but I guess this is standard procedure.
I have had similar awful experiences here. There are three clerks behind the glass and they are all on the clock, but only one of them is running a booth. I got there at 8:05 am, just after they opened and waited behind only 8 people for 55 minutes! These were elderly people I was waiting behind and I just felt horrified that they were being subjected to this kind of ignorant, insensitive treatment. Something definitely needs to be done on a management level and get the postmaster general, or even inspector general involved. These people are paid well, have excellent government benefits and seem to have little regard for the public they are serving. It's disgusting.
Agreed. That post office is a joke. I took the day off to wait for a package and my bell never rang. Then I go online and they say they attempted and left a notice and there's no notice in my box. That place is a joke...
Now I'm trying to call them and the line just continues to ring and ring until it eventually hangs up. These guys are like the MTA of delivery service...charging more and more for an increasingly mediocre product. It's no wonder that they're losing all of their business to Fed Ex and UPS. Completely ridiculous...
that station is the worst they need more supervision, they have no respect. They never deliver mail on time they just do what they want they are not pofessional at all. they are a wait of time. they keep forgeting without us they would not have any jobs.maybe if people came together and complained they would get their acts together.
Something has to be done about this post office on St. John's Place. It's a joke. Mail is constantly being mis delivered, there are always long waits for service, the post office itself is not maintained well, the phone is always busy, and on and on. Who is the supposed supervisor? The community needs to meet with that person. This can't go on.
The worst. An abomination. Mail carriers don't deliver packages, don't ring buzzers, they only deliver package slips, and then you are stuck in a vortex of insanity trying to get your package. I have mine delivered to my office. Avoid this place, and the people in it, like the plague.
st johns office is the worse in the whole of Brooklyn useless employee always have a attitude how can we complain about this place to make a change this has been going on for too long residence need to understand that if we all come together and fight for something to happen that is the only way we will have a change. We have to come together
this post office is the worst.its been 2 weeks now and they cant find my package.i've filed a complain.they never leave a pink slip and try to deliver.they are rude and never answere the phone.something needs to be done.
This post office is abysmal. I've never received a package to my door and only receive delivery package slips. The wait in the actual post office is awful. Get your packages delivered to your job and make a complaint with the actual USPS phone number: (800) ASK-USPS. Don't bother lodging one at the actual post office, it will do no good.
I agree in regards to the St. Johns post office. For twelve years since I moved to this area, they are the absolute worst. I just came from there to pick up two packages, one of which I asked to be redelivered and was never attempted. They could only find one and claim the other was sent back. No pink slip was left for the second attempt. They are lacking in customer service. When I said that I would be contacting the postal inspector, she said to me, "whatever". I hope that when they decide on offices to shut down that this is one of them. (No disrespect to my brother who has worked in the post office for over 20 years and is the postal inspector!)
I agree St Johns post office service sucks. I am new to this area and this is the second time i am having problems. the first time a package that was suppose to be delivered neverr came. but the next day a notice was left saying they try to deliver at 7am the previous day. when i know that they don't deliver so early. I went their and had to wait for nearly an hour for the package. The employees were rude and moving at a snail pace. they were mostly conversating with each other. This time i never received a notice delivery never came. But I went to website that I bought my stuff from and found out that they said they attempted to leave the stuff and no one was home. I have try for many re-deliveries to no avail, non has come. My best option is to let it go back. I think all of these people need training or firing. I have been to other post office and neverr had this problem.
They are definitely still claiming "they left a notice or came to deliver a pkg" when sometimes you would be home all day and no one can say they heard a bell ring or even saw a notice left. Definitely outrageous and lets not get started with the clerks and their attitudes. Fire them all and hire people who have actually been through some kind of kind greeting training.
This is the worst post office in Brooklyn. There is no such thing as customer service. No need to complain, it seems that all post offices have a Post Master and to get to them is impossible. I can't wait to hear that everyone in the St Johns post office has been terminated or transferred out. I had a package that was never redelivered and reaching them is impossible. If you go there you must wait on long lines with only one agent, with a attitude. Why in 2015 we have to put up with this kind of service? . Soon or later the post office will be out of business if they continue to let St Johns Post Office be handled with nasty, incompetent personnel.
