Referring to a job fair were I met primerica representative who stole money out my account
Monday [protected] I went to a job fair with a friend of mine and met with Ms.Karyn Gils ( phone # [protected] ) and Ms.Danon Chanes ([protected]). Ms.Giles Introduced me to the program and she sent me to Ms.Danon. I told Ms.Danon about my situation about me recently being unemployed for a year and how i barely have any funds. She mentioned if i wanted to join the company the company would put $100 in my account so that being said i showed her my account book and she wrote down the bank account #. I asked her why and she said that is were the company will be depositing the money for me joining the company. I called her the same day there was no answer. The next day i spoke to Ms.Giles she told me to borrow the money from a friend and i told her i did not want to be apart of this scheme iand she hung up on me. These Employees Under Primerica Wrongfully Toook 99.00$ out of my count which i need put back or i will takle it upon myself to take this issues to court. I am going through my own issues at home already for this to be happening so i addressed my concerned hopefully someone will take action on it.
unprofessionalism
I left primerica as a consumer this year. When I filed my taxes I found out that my advisor did not take off the taxes off my Rif and now owe the government over 3400.00. Then I wanted to move my funds back to my bank where they originally were transfered from and he refused to deal with my bank and I had to do the leg work. I sent in a complaint with primerica and an investigator was assigned to the case and have heard nothing. I basically was given the information he wanted so I would sign the papers without telling me the whole truth

Read full review of Primerica and 5 commentsoutrageous increase in life insurance premiums
Twenty years ago I purchased Life Insurance with this company hoping to be able to cover my debts in the event of my death so as not to put a financial burden on my children. This is the main reason most people invest in Life Insurance, right? I knew at the time that in 20 years my premiums would increase in order to keep my same rate of coverage. Well, I've been expecting...maybe a 50% increase, which would be what I considered...a hard enough pill to swallow at best. Boy, was I wrong. I just received a notice that in less than 2 months, in order to keep the same coverage with the same policy, my rates will increase 400%. Yeah... it literately took my breath. There is no way I can afford to keep my life insurance. So here I am ...59 years old... and unable to get life insurance. After investing all that money with this company for the last 20 years they simply raise my premiums to the point where I can't afford to keep it. They DID, however, offer me a 10 year term policy at just a 300% increase in my premiums. Nice of them wasn't it?
People, DO NOT PURCHASE a life insurance policy with this company.
We just received a letter stating that our rate is increasing from $185 to $975 a month. We have had this policy for over 20 years. We just turned 65 this year, is that a coincidence? There is no way we will pay, Can we sue Primerica? This is outrageous.
We bought our policies in 1989 at ages 35 and 34, $150, 000 and $100, 000. Have paid quarterly since then. The past few years we have been paying $241.29/quarter, but recently received notice it is changing to $1235.97/quarter! I am turning 65. Think that has anything to do with it? We bought originally from A.L. Williams, but the agents have changed over the years. Our policy covers us until the age of 100. Or, it used to. We have to drop it, at ages 65 and 64, to find something else. We are not as financially independent as we'd like. Life happens, and things don't always turn out as one hopes. Very disheartened.
Reading all of these responses make me sick. I'm sorry to hear how many of you got screwed over by this company. Being in the industry, I get plenty of people who stereotype me as an insurance agent, and not THE insurance agent. I proudly work with a company who's goal is to help more families. The more families I'm able to take care of, the more I'm compensated, sure. But that is how being a professional gets paid. I'm a broker, so I can always find a policy for someone. YES, some of these get to be pricey due to age or health. Unfortunately, I'm not the one to blame for anyone waiting to get coverage. I can only work in the guidelines of the companies i represent. Young, and healthy are perfect candidates for insurance, but unlike some companies who cant help elderly or the sick, I can! I have clients who have cancer, or are in imperfect health. Anyone can say what they want, but if I can represent more families, instead of turn them away because they don't fit inside any other companies, then I'm proud to do so. If anyone here wants me to overlook a policy (free consultation) email me at cmf9984@hotmail.com and I'd be glad to sit down with you.
I know we have been lied to and stolen from by Primerica Life Insurance Co here in GA. We have faithfully paid premiums for about 17 yrs are now 67 & 70 & last yr were told our 250, 000 (each) policies would go down to 240, 000 because I turned 70 & our premiums would go up about 150.00 a month (totaling 350.00 a month) but would not change for 10 yrs. the policy is supposed to be in force til we are 90 or deceased. We are raising our 8 yr old grandchild & we dearly need what we thought we had. Today, another Agent at another Co, told us our policy was not worth 240, 000 but only 190, 000 fir one and it would go down to 75, 000. In 2 yrs. we are Angry and believe we have been defrauded. We want to start a Class Action Suite & plan to prosecute the Agent personally for lying point blank when questioned by us over the years. There must be many more out there in similar situations, thinking we were taking care of our family's needs only to find we were paying for non-existent financial security. Please respond to Stephen brandall@yahoo.com if you have a similar story from Primerica Life Ins. for our upcoming Class Action Suit.
Paid premiums since the "80's now that I am 72 they are increasing the premium from $119 to $381.19 per month. For the same coverage!
Hope they can enjoy their future. I can't.
I have looked at many types of insurance policies. Everyone I have seen has always had rate charts that express the current rate and the length of the guaranteed rate. They also express the potential increase in premium that could happen if the insurance company decides it necessary to increase the rate for everyone in your policy class (must be approved by insurance regulators). The increase in the premium after the length of your term, no matter what the time frame is, is spelled out in the policy. If anyone has a policy for [protected] years and did not look to see what they would be paying in the future is not taking care of business. It is in there, you just did not take the time to look! Term insurance is not an investment, as whole life is purported to be. Some states do not even allow whole life companies, salesmen, to use the word investment, because the state knows it is not.. Term is just insurance, just like your homeowners, auto, health, boat, etc. Most insurances like those are 1 year term. At least you can get life products that are for a long period of time. If you worked for 20-40 years and did not save any money you did not help yourself financially. Now is not the time to expect any insurance company to come to your rescue if something happens to you and your family cannot live without your income.
I am appalled at some of you that seem to think you can just mouth off to someone that didn't know what they were getting. It happens, DUDE. I didn't either and just out like they did. Perfect health, paying $120/mo. and BAM! $500 in 6 weeks. To tell someone here that they should have invested their money better is rude beyond contempt. Some of us DID invest and lost much of it to the economic downturn and never recovered. I lost my business of 15 years. Go ahead and mouth off to me! Had my insurance agent told me that in 10 years I should expect a 400-500% increase I might have shopped around more. That apparently is HIS retirement plan. Making matters worse I call his office and he tells me that God wishes me a great day. I too am a Christian but I don't include it in life insurance transactions. Now that I recall that was his hook into me to begin with. I think you miss the point. A failure to communicate or disclose the terms is what is at issue here. A salesman counted on our ignorance. Whose to blame? Enough to go around? No. The salesman that knew in 10 years this would happen.

People, DO NOT PURCHASE a life insurance policy with this company.
Say your 29 years old and you buy a 35 year term policy for 85$ a month... A whole life policy at the time would cost 160$ at the same time.
Over those 35 years you have paid 35, 700 into your term policy and would have spent 67, 200 into your whole life policy if that's what you had chosen.
Even so with your "adjusted rate" it would take up to 15-20 years of paying the higher term rate to spend as much as you would have with a Whole life policy.
Once the 35 years is up your rates don't go up... they adjust to the inflation over those 35 years and match what a term policy would sell for during that year...
an 84$ term policy in 1985 is really the same price as a 240$ policy in 2020 because of the average 2.1% inflation rate per year
In the long run if you plan your money you will ultimately save money by doing a term policy because you will understand that a dollar today is not the same price as a dollar tomorrow.
You were not smart and did not plan your money so this seems like a big surprise but its really just a contract that expired and needs to be renewed in that day and ages market.
We all still wish gas was 99 cents a gallon but its now how the world works friends.
Life insurance is based on the status of your health and age. Everyone varies. The older you are the more you will pay which is why you should look into life insurance around the age of 30 if you are in good health and go for term life insurance through primerica which is 35 years. I would suggest looking into the financial services so that you can be covered beyond 65 yrs like 401k or other investments that Primerica offer. They even have debt solutions that get you out of debt. Primerica offer many financial advantages other than life insurance. I have life insurance through Primerica and policies are lot different than they were 20 yrs ago. That company has an A+ rating and has linked with many multi-billion companies. I'm speaking from experience because I am a policy holder through Primerica.
rvp
I joined Primerica with much promise until my RVP promised items she didn't follow up on. I tried to stick in there for months, even quit my full-time job to do it. I liked helping people but she was jealous of me and she called me stupid! The office preaches a lot of concepts they don't actually do themselves. I would rather work for an actual Christian company that works with me not just to make money off me.
I also tried to contact her supervisor and he wouldn't even answer my calls to take a meeting with me!
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
Wow, you all best study this comment very thoroughly for a long, long time. There's a lot of meat in it. It proves the RVP has to sell more than the "underlings", and, if she doesn't, she can be stripped of her figurehead title. That's precisely what it is: he/she does not own the business. All the money goes to Primerica. for an RVP to call someone names is reprehensible and deplorable. The reason Primerica does not remove her is because Primerica knows that a small majority of RVP's will continue "to attempt to stick it out", "fake it until you make it" - i.e, give the illusion of being well off with many sales. Not gonna happen, folks.
So many of these pyramid schemes pretend to be Christian to give themselves a good name. This is heart-rending as many pastors get in on the game and waste time trying to sell. A pastor needs all his time to prepare useful sermons, counsel, show the way, be a friend, etc.
So the supervisor wouldn't even listen to the legit complaints. Boy, that speaks volumes. Among the reasons: there's too much coziness there. That's mainly because they are BOTH failing but "having affairs" helps drown the sorrows and keeps the rest of the camp from learning any thing.
it's a scam
I got an e-mail from Bmo Primerica Life Insurance Company. They congratulated me with the win of 2000. Also they asked me to send some 1500 to other bank and bla bla bla! It’s a scam. I’ll never believe in such a thing. Beware!

I checked out Primeerica for more than ayear before getting involved with them. (I made certain I did my due diligence, first). This is one of the best companies anyone could ever get involved with! The people I deal with are reputable, honest and very professional. Primerica has risen to the place of being the #1 insurance company in the USA and they grew through referrals only...because Primerca doesn't advertise. Their growth is done strictly through word-of-mouth referrals. If Primerica was as bad as some of you are saying, this company would have gone down in flames years ago!

Has AT&T, the aclu, sodomite companies, the catholic church, etc, " been shut down years ago"? See you at the Great White Throne Judgement, where you will have a huge Lake of Fire awaiting you: Revelation 20:10-15.
It has. And so what. You know good and well every large company out there should be shut down for their numerous lies, frauds and crimes. But they're still there. Primerica only keeps going because "there's a sucker born every day".

Read full review of Primericathe rep threw me out of his office for asking questions!!
Hello, (West Chicago, IL) I have been searching for employment for several months so when I got a phone call from the Primerica Rep, I obliged to meet with him. At our meeting, I became curious and asked several questions which infuriated the Rep...he told me that I had "pissed him off" and he told me to "screw myself" when I got deeper into asking how I would get paid. DONT DO IT! This lack of professionalism is TERRIBLE !
I received a voice mail on my phone saying that I had been referred for a possible position in a new company starting up in a neighboring community. I returned the call and was invited to a "business breifing"the next morning. No mention was made of the company's name - red flag number one.
The "business breifing" was a sales pitch to purchase their financial products and services with very little talk about employment prospects - red flag number two. Oh when the pitch man talked about income potential he talked about "pie in the sky" potential. But the fine print on his slides showed an average rep makes around $5k (much less than the 6 figure income he spoke about.
The hour long briefing ended with a survey being distributed. Questions were asked about what services you would be interested. And asking to list freinds and family members as possible referrals. Welcome to the""land of pyramid scheme ripoff" and red flag number three.
Sure glad I wasted my time to sit in on this "business briefing"
Thanks but no thanks Primerica - don't call me - I'll call you (but I wouldn't hold your breath waiting
untrustworthy
I allowed a Primerica Rep to come to my home. After the meeting and information was taken down I had noticed some of my accounts were being hacked into. After research it was the Rep from Primerica that did the hacking. It alarms me that this company hires people like that. The individual that hacked also got a promotion.
Doesn't seem right. Might want to screen your possible candidates better.
I put $100, 000 in a Primerica investment account in 2001. I was assured that this investment was dispersed and was made up of insurance companies, banks, and was low risk for me. In September 2001 the World Trade Centre towers in NY were attached. Three years later I was taking huge hits on my savings. I called Heather my investment specialist at Primerica. She blamed the negative return on the 9/11 incident and assured me everyone was getting hit. I started asking around. Everyone at work that I spoke with told me they took a hit in 2001, but since then their money was doing ok. In 2005 I lost more money. My original $100, 000 was now $60, 000. Where did my $40, 000 go? I contacted another investment specialist who I'm still with in 2013. He told me Primerica was charging me extremely high management fees and all of my money would soon be gone if I left it there. I ended up paying a $5, 000 penalty to leave Primerica but it was the smartest thing to do. I've never lost money on my investments since I've switched. I'm not back to the $100, 000 I had in 2001 though. It was absolutely horrible what Primerica did to me. It was every penny I had after working for 18 years and saving this. I believe I should have went to a lawyer and sued them for stealing my money. This company is the worst. Please don't deal with them. They will tell you your investments are going to grow but you'll quickly see them disappear.
They crashed my computer too - I hope I do not get Hacked too!
There are crooks in every company, that doesn't make the company bad unless they have a policy or track record for such behavior. Primerica is a top rated company among Insurance Companies as well as A+ rated by the Better Business Bureau. The person who you've encountered is a crook and you should call the police on him immediately! Of course, since you're listing your complaint on this board, it's very transparent that your motive is to besmerch the outstanding reputation of Primerica and probably work for o e of the companies whose policies Primerica replaces everyday.
Let me get this straight. . . . Someone came to your house, you gave them your account information and you are shocked they used it? When will people get a clue?
corruption
This job has totally ruined my relationship with my parents! I should have listened to them about this job being a scam, ha recruiting and prospecting in order to get paid! gosh was I stupid :/

I, Geneva, have been trying to get my refund check for some time now. I was advised that it was sent back to the company in the VA. It is in the possession of my RVP, Stephanie Scales. I feel like I'm getting the run around with getting my refund check back. My address is 703 E 3rd N Street, Summerville, SC 29485. I no longer want the run around. I just want my refund check.
primerica will not stop bothering me and now they are trying to make me feel like i'm stupid
Primerica will not stop bothering me and now they are trying to make me feel like I’m stupid. They’re very high pressure and will not take a simple any thanks for an answer. They tried to get me to sign up and I said no so they decided to sell me Insurance that I don’t need. They tell me my Insurance is bad and the one they have is the best.
They are the only company that has good Insurance? I was not born yesterday. So if they are the only good ones why are they not on the news and headlining the papers.
I do not want to be pushed into something I don’t want and made to feel like an idiot for not doing it. I would definitely say to stay away from this company. It is a pyramid scheme no matter what they call it now. It is the same thing. Please be careful and do not jump into anything with these people.
If you let them talk to you then before you know it you are being talking into something you don’t want. And when you think it over and say no thanks. They get upset with you and get really pushy.
They talk to you like you are stupid because you probably are.
HOW TRUE THIS IS! http://nextaxpro.wordpress.com mgtenter95@yahoo.com
i have a friend pushing this primerica to, they sound like they are brainwashed now. She gave me an insurance quote and I got the same quote online from a different company for about $10 cheaper a month. She immediately trashed the quote I had. They tried to get me to go to their recruit conference. All they talked about there was how much they are making. This person, has only sold one policy in 5 months and she is gung-ho about primerica and she doesn't even see that she needs to do something else. She will go broke in this business, and now she is hounding her husband to join it and quit his job. This guy is no salesman either. I fear for this family. Brainwashing them into the poor house.
best
Primerica! I have worked for many financial companies before and by far the best I have ever seen. I don't understand how people come on this site and complain about a company they never even jonined! How stupid! #1 $99 ummm if you have good trainer you will receive $1200 in your training. I did! What is wrong with yall? #2 how do you have anything bad to say about a company that saves family from financial ruin? This company educates people how not to go down the wrong financial road. You people don't even have enough guts to try! How about try 1st and if you dont like get your stinky $99 back. Are you that broke that you cant afford to give $99 to make $1200? # please please! Please tell me why people always say this isn't for me or I do something like this? Whatever! We are taught to become whatever we decide. No person is born a financial expert or doctor duh! And most of the stuff we do has little to do with coming up with numbers. That's what a computer is for!
So for all of you the say I need to do some research dont! If $99 is a problem for you go get a job. Go get build wealth for your boss and hurry please jobs are being outsourced, so they wont be around much longer! Thanx winner keep their eyes open for opportunity!
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
VeryFunny:::::::::You must be one of the recruiters stealing peoples money because I've paid the money done the training & have been in a back and fourth waiting game with PRIMERCA for about 8 mths now! THIS IS A BUNCH OF CRAP I REPEAT A BUNCH OF CRAP! Besides real employers don't ask their applicaints for money!
Veryfunny, I just got home from an interview with Primerica. I dont know what to do. I need a job and really lke the concept of helping people financially and not working a corporate 9-5 cubical job. Do you still work for Primerica? Could you please email me and tell me more of what you think and give me some advice? (dpriehl@aol.com)...and ignore people like Mike w johe. Its losers like that I dont want to deal with. Thanks!

Primerica sells life insurance and other products that consumers may (or may not) need. I cannot attest to the quality of their products but their tactics are those of a multi-level marketing organization. A few make some money, a very few make fairly good money and the founder makes VERY good money off those who are "agents".
The company preys on individuals who seem desperate for a job or are in financial straits. Those who can least afford all the "costs' involved in becoming an "agent". True example: If you are in your late sixties, consistently late on your mortgage, utilities etc. stretching your social security and looking for a job they "suck' you in with promises of great wea;th. what they really do, is create wealth for the very few high up in the company. You pay a fee for internet, they try to sign you up (with promises you can later cancel..hard to do) for their prepaid legal, debt analysis and of course life insurance. They make you use all your pretinent information, Driver's Lic. numbers etc, on "training applications" thus getting you in the system. Why a single man in his late sixties with 250, 000 life insurance really needs more is questionable. In other word, using this practice...the manat the top can make up to 6 million profit on company services from "agents" per month. And that is only based on 50, 000 agents with minimum purchases of services from the company. Imagine what is amounts to in reality since there are far more than 50, 000 and more being sucked in all the time.
Their presentations are nothing short of a "rowdy party" and not the environment I'd like to reveal my personal information. They convince agents that anyone who complains is actually a representative from another company. Also, that you are stupid if you don't fall for the company's cult like behavior.
I am NOT employed by any insurance company, I am a college graduate with honors and my IQ is well above normal. I attended one meeting at the request of the aforementioned older gentleman and was horrified. I continue to be horrified at the bills he puts off in order to subscribe to this company that will make him a millionaire. They call constantly, send a card when he was ill that encouraged him to get well so he could sell more...all comments on the card were about helping the company not about his health. The constant calls bugging him to contact people are adding to his cell bill and annoying when he is in a social situation. If he says he is busy, they literally tract him down and show up. If he is busy they make him grovel and apologize for being at some other obligation. It is a cult if nothing else...and once in it is difficult to get out.
BUYER BE WARE! If it sounds too good to be true...it is!
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
No, no, no, You are doing the wrong analysis.
True, they are nothing else but a cult, I don't know if the founder of primerica is, but the facts are at this web site WWW. How cultswork.com It describes everything I experience at primerica when I joined. They want your time and your money. They were even telling me to put their buisness first rather than God. That is wrong, anyone that SPEAKS against God is an antichrist. PEOPLE WAKE UP THE FACTS ARE THEIR!
I am currently looking into primerica as a business opportunity and I am actually considering it. The thing that I disagree with most in the previously stated paragraph is the fact that they are a cult and are pushy. I totally disagree because you arent look at it from a business point of view which you are not they are assertive not pushy and that is their way of making sure that you aren' t wasting their time because to most people time is money and I can understand that. With most companies that you see you have the people that don't do the work and say that they got scammed which is not entirely the case. I am sorry but if you want to make money you have to work for it. You also need to realize the women writing this is an absolute skeptic and wants rock hard evidence before you can convince here that it is not a scam. I do know how to do my research and make sure that I am not getting shafted. I am very literate when it comes to finances, researching, and anything in between.
My comments in [ ]...
Primerica sells life insurance and other products that consumers may (or may not) need [true]. I cannot attest to the quality of their products but their tactics are those of a multi-level marketing organization [Need explanation - Anything good or bad about multilevel organization?] . A few make some money, a very few make fairly good money and the founder makes VERY good money off those who are "agents" [False misconception from multilevel- there are multiple examples of people making very good money that joined Primerica 5-10-15 years ago also shows ].
The company preys on indivi, not 30 yearsduals who seem desperate for a job or are in financial straits. You pay a fee [a low $25] for internet, they try to sign you up (with promises you can later cancel..hard to do [Just need to send cancellation in written before 120 days from start - I do not see why this is hard to do] ) for their prepaid legal, debt analysis and of course life insurance. They make you use all your pretinent information, Driver's Lic. numbers etc, on "training applications" thus getting you in the system. Why a single man in his late sixties with 250, 000 life insurance really needs more is questionable [May be true, but I have no seen one case like this in 7 years I have with the company – this should be +/- a $223 / month policy and my average is around $55/month per policy – hard to believe] . In other word, using this practice...the manat the top can make up to 6 million [Well, true this same man once started fom $0 20 years ago - what is wrong with this?] profit on company services from "agents" [why use " " - If they are not agents or reps then, what they are?] per month.
They convince agents that anyone who complains is actually a representative from another company [May be true - but based on the local office only - This is not Primerica's policy and not a practice in our office].
. Also, that you are stupid if you don't fall for the company's cult like behavior I am NOT employed by any insurance company, I am a college graduate with honors and my IQ is well above normal. I attended one meeting at the request of the aforementioned older gentleman and was horrified [I can understand "Intimated" maybe, but "horrified", please! - This signal, at least, that she has employee mentality and she do not want anything to do with sales, commissions. Nothing wrong with that. Also is clear she did not want to go on the first place] . I continue to be horrified at the bills he puts off in order to subscribe to this company that will make him a millionaire [On average this is a false statement - The subscription for Internet service is $25/month] . They call constantly, send a card when he was ill that encouraged him to get well so he could sell more...all comments on the card were about helping the company not about his health [At this point, look that if they ask about his health, they are bad anyways]. The constant calls bugging him to contact people are adding to his cell bill and annoying when he is in a social situation [This is a point that has nothing to do with Primerica, need to change cell plan to his needs] . If he says he is busy, they literally tract him down and show up. If he is busy they make him grovel and apologize for being at some other obligation. [If he does not want to be with Primerica, he just say NO – Why so hard to say NO and so easy to complain?] It is a cult if nothing else [Anyway, what is a cult? Is there something hidden in Primerica?, need to explain] ...and once in it is difficult to get out [Yeah, I wish! - is the other point around - people fill the application and the very next day they cancel or they just simply "disappear" from the planet – this is around 15% - 20% of my applications in my case ] .

Marlis T, do you notice your bias, vitriol and "good vibes" you have against this company?
Most of us can get a better vision of the truth by checking REPUTABLE institutions (BBB, NYSE, Bloomberg, Morningstar just to have a head start!) and by reading the first paragraph in ANY of those your "best intentioned" comments and concepts about this company become a joke!
You put me in position to tell you this because obiously you do not know.
Keep in mind: most readers are not the zombies you probably have in your mail list: we not only have brains; we know how to use them!
