To whom this may corcern,
Thank you for your comments i was just about to send these people $20. 00 until i read your letter. I think god for good people like you.
I agree 100% that the people behind this evil, lieing scam should be in jail for fraud. Also if i may add i'm starting my own business at home
That will pervade a service to help people receive unclaimed funds from the u. S. Government.
This kind of thing make it hard for good people like me who is honest and
Wont to help people and not hurt them.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
my attitude is lets find these people and prosecute them for fraud, they prey on the weak, our society is hurting these days! they are a thorn in our side?..
I think this is rediculous. They prey on elderly people. I took the check from my grandmother who was about to send $20 and told her to wait while I researched the company. The people behind this scam should be in jail for fraud.
I just received one of the Express Notices in the US Mail Stating I won a $2, 536, 092.23 prize. I too was asked to send PRIA $20.00 to facilitate transfer complete accounting of prize funds.
Speculations: I am beginning to believe that the A/C number is their tracking number for who reply’s and is stored in some data base. They also have a bar code to enter the data even faster. The A/C on my letter is [protected]
Why can't we request to have the post office filter out the mail scams just like we do on our computers with email? This mail was pretty convincing and I to was tempted to send them money, but not before looking PRIA up on the internet. I am sure PO Box 527800 in Miami, FL [protected] is getting 100’s of $20.00 money orders and checks. This money should be ceased and sent back to the owners at the return address.
Then punishment to the perpetrators should be addressed.
I also keep getting these so called prize winning notices. I always wonder how I won something I didn't play, or apply for. I have gotten those bogus checks stating this was my winnings from playing the lottery. Well I don't play the lottery so how did I win. I have turned the checks over to the police along with the letters. I'm not sure they were able to do anything, but they did tell me they would see if the FBI was interested. I have gotten anymore checks in the mail, but the letters haven't stopped coming.
I agree THESE PEOLE NEED TO BE STOPPED. The # on my letter is A/C70737046502
I agree with everyone is saying getting peoples hopes up high when it is a BIG LIE they need to be put in jail and throw away the key also the number i have recieve on the letter is A/C7037073377 so people need to investigate on everyone case, because all their doingis buliding up everybodies 20$ and the whole time it is a rip off. So im glad that i didnt attend to do this until i check what they are really all about.
Hi I agree these people need to be reported, for this fraud, I receive the same Express Notice and my cash award was 2, 536, 092.23. The A/C [protected]. The Research Intelligence Agency should be reported to the law. I am so glade I check this out and didn't sent the 20.00 transfer fee. What can I do to Stop this.? Janice Hayden [protected]
Hi, i am from Germany, and i think this sick people have to be taken to jail . I just got one of this letters today, but they think we stupid . I am so thankful for the information from all of you . I get this kind of crap every day on my computer, and i really want to no, were they get the e-mail addresses and home addresses from, with full names . This is so sick
Three weeks ago I received the Sweepstakes thing; you know Publisher’s Clearing…someone comes to your door with this massive check…I thought it was odd because I’ve never received anything like this in the mail for any sweepstakes; so for kicks I filled it out and sent it away…
It seems that was the trigger. About a week ago I started receiving notification after notification telling me I need to send $19 - $20 dollars (they’ll even take cash) and I had to use one of my stamps. Yet, the wording was straight up saying this was not a guarantee to win. I didn’t place any cash in but I did fill it out saying I did and sent it off…
Then I received the same thing that is being talked about in this posting from Prize Research Intelligency Agency. What was different was they didn’t ask for postage…I thought for a minute; I even pulled out a $20, filled out the form, sealed it all up and then my 12 year old daughter grabbed the paper and read it.
She said, “Wow, I wonder how many more people have received this”
She woke me up; I couldn’t believe what I was about to do and I was ignoring my #1 rule: NEVER release your money UNLESS a Google search proves it above board!
So, I opened the envelope, took my money out, resealed it and stuck it in the mail like I had with the others.
I read and reread the letter. When I got back to my office I Googled this outfit and found all of you. I have to say if I hadn’t stopped myself before; your posts would have protected me from throwing away my money. Thank all of you! Please never stop sharing awareness.
I share the same desire to prosecute; if anyone has information, I would love to jump on the bandwagon to help. However, it seems the wording in the letter is arranged for this groups’ protection promising “to you of complete accounting”. There’s nothing about receiving money; just an accounting.
A little side note: I’m in the real estate business and I can’t tell you how many scams come across my inbox and over my phone, promising fabulous leads… Generally, I search before I hand over any cash…don’t know what happened this time; going as far as I did before coming to my senses but I’m glad I did.
WHAT CAN WE DO?
There are three simple things we MUST instill as part of our automatic reflexes.
1. ALWAYS Google first! Whenever parting with money is involved and no matter how small the amount may seem… ALWAYS Google FIRST!
I can’t share how important adapting this simple step is, nor can I tell you how much it offers in the way of protection.
2. POST…every scam experience you have been presented with, in every possible place you find on the Internet. Of course, every place would be nice yet not necessary. But everyone needs to do their part. Posting in ONE place would constitute doing your part; have more time, want to post more, GREAT…but once is gobs.
3. TEACH…everyone you know needs to be told to GOOGLE, POST and TEACH. Knowledge is power and when we share protection skills, we share power.
These three steps are really so easy I hope more and more are willing to Post, learn to Google and Teach others to do the same.
I also received a letter from Prize Research saying Re: Cash award total of over $2, 536, 092.23 identified and now pending payment. The only thing is they didn't ask me for any money, only to initial, sign and date at the bottom, and return the Tracking Form in the reply envelope provided. Had to be mailed by midnight 02/01/09, which I did.
Didn't hear anything yet, said that as soon as they receive my signed and completed Express Notice Tracking Form, my claim will be processed and my cash accounting rushed to me by bonded federal carrier?
Will let you know!
I also received a letter from Prise Research telling me I had A cash award of $2, 536, 092.23. I also received a "no postage necessary envelope" with the letter. I signed the letter and put A--I.O.U-- in the letter telling them to wait for their $20 or go ahead deduct the $20 from my winnings and to also keep the .23 cents. Just send the rest ASAP.
I learned A long time ago to always google what ever you receive in the mail and also all the emails that promise you how to make $100, 000 this week.
Shuv That $20, 00 Dollars Up There ###IN ###!..LOL...LMFAO...HAHAHAHAHA
I Just Receive From Them Just Today Thursday March 27 2009 3:00 p.m. It Kame In Thee Mail..Make Them Give Me Thee Money And ### Slapppp Them ..LOL...LMFAO...HEHEHEHEHE...HAHAHAHAHAHAHA
I RECEIVED THE SAME EMAIL LIKE ALL OTHERS, BUT FOUND THIS INFORMATION PRIOR TO RETURNING THE $20.
IF THE POST OFFICE INSPECTOR GENERAL CAN NOT STOP THIS FRAUDULENT MAIL? IT BECOMES A FEDERAL OFFENSE? I BELIEVE THE US POSTAL SERVICE SHOULD BE LIABLE FOR THE DELIVERY TO MY HOME ? AFTER ALL THEY GET THEIR POSTAGE FEE AND?
LAST RESORT IF ANYONE CAN PROVIDE ME AN EXPLOSIVE DEVICE TO BOMB THE PERSON OPENING THE RETURNED $20, I BELIEVE JUSTICE TO THE SCAMMERS IS IN ORDER AND MAYBE IT BE PUBLIC INTERNET ANNOUCED BACK TO THIS SITE?
Wish I would have read this post first, they got my 20.oo bucks. Fortunatly it won't kill me, however it sure won't happen again. Keep up the good reporting.
These people are horrible! I just found out that I had breast cancer and we are about to loose our house! I thought that this might be real, but once again it's not. How can people do this in these times? I thought that this was a miracle, right!
MAN I'M SO LUCKY I GOOGLE THIS ### AND SEE YOU GUYS CAUSE I WAS ABOUT SEND THIS RAPID NOTICE THING.ITS A 100% SCAM.SO DONT LET $2, 536, 092, .23 FOOL YOU.THERES 3 SIMPLE THING TO DO WITH IT AND THAT IS RIP IT UP, RIP IT UP, AND RIP IT UP. AND THE PEOPLE BEHIND THIS SCAM SHOULD BE PROSECUTED TO THE FULL EXTENSE OF THE LAW.DONT BE FOOLED. $KEEP UP THE GOOD REPORT$
I have also received a letter from Prize Intelligence Agency for a prize of over $3, 6000, 000.00 if sent back within 5 days. I have two red flag reasons for sending them $20.00. The first flag is the fact that the letter is signed where you can not make out the director's name. In most cases that I have seen, the director's name is typed out with their signature following. The second flag is that on the same day in the mail, I received another letter in the mail the same day that came from Allocated Disbursement Authority. The prize director has the same handwriting as the PRIA director has. The P O Box is also 527800 like the PRIA P O Box number, and they are mailed from Las Vegas from the start. Mailed from Las Vegas and forwarded to Miami. Not sounding too honest to deal with. Thanks to all the people posting on this site, and to Complaintsboard for letting us share this criminal scam to avoid.
i just recieved one of these things too, same tracking number, same 2.blah blah blah million dollars. if u ask me we need to take our country back from the tareny of evil men. this was my first notice and from what you people say it wont be my last. the postal system should be held accountable. i used to receive mail for other people not living with me, i complained to the mail office and they claim they cant do anything and tell me to just return the mail. that's the same as you getting robbed and the police telling you sorry for your luck, cant do anything but if you need us call the doughnut house. these people that work so hard not to get a real job need to be locked up, beat up, strung up, because they are ate up.
Just received a letter from Prize Research Intelligence agency today. These scams are becoming so obvious I don't even have to open the letter up to know it's a scam. Any of these sweepstakes/prizes companies that say you have to send them a "processing fee" are fake. Having to send them money for anything is a clear red flag indicating their scamishness. Make sure to read everything in the mailing, even the fine print. If the letter says you have to respond by a certain time forget it. They just don't want you to bother reading the entire letter, nor taking the time to research and double check it to see if it's legit. Go with your gut instinct, if it seems to go to be true, more than likely it is.
Hey everybody, all these posts really allayed my fears that I missed out on 2 million bucks! You see, I was basically"taken"by the authentic look of this scam, fortunately(in this instance at least)a massive stroke and ensuing brain surgeries in 2003 played havoc with my short term memory, so I set the letter aside(on my cluttered bedside table) forgot about it and didn't find it again until the time "expired"in which I was supposed to return it! The stroke in 2003(which ended my career as a Firefighter)is the only reason that I"entertain"these types of scams in the first place! So until I found this site I was(stupidly)fretting about missing out on over 2 million garanteed dollars! I'm SO glad that I didn't send those liars/thieves 20 dollars!
I was basically"taken"by the authentic appearance of this particular scam, along with the rare fact that they didn't require you to pay for postage..I had been fretting that I missed out on over 2 million bucks for days now, because when I first recieved this ackage I set it aside against my bedside table, forgetting about it until the"expiration date"for sending it back had just passed! I am SO glad to read these post and know that it was a good thing that I didn't send these thieves/liars any money!
I wished i would have read this online first. I have always signed up for publishers clearing house and when i received the letter i was happy. Not paying close enough attention and not looking things up on the internet made me lose $20. Im one of them single moms wit low income. I thought this was something good for me. I could have paid that $20 toward my light bill or something. Im very angry now that I see this. Is there anything that I can do to get my $20 back. I could really use it. Someone please email me at misstratranala@aol.com if you have any info. Thanks TraTra
I recieved a noticec and my prize was for 2536092.23 and they told me that I have to send them 20.00. My first thought was why should you have to send 20 when you have won millions and why couldn't they just take it out of the actual money. On the back of the notce it says that you are entitled to a refund if not completely satisfied but why would they need that if people are recieving millions.
Being laid off recently, when I got one of these letters in the mail it made me feel like, Yeah! God has heard my prayers. Then for common sense reasoning I read the letter again and started seeing things that just didn't add up. I just got the letter on 5/29/09 and I said I needed to check this out for the simple reason that NOBODY in their right mind today would ask you to send cash in the mail. I too looked on line and found that these people have been doing this for some time now and have gotten good at it. I use to not believe in the death penalty but when people like this can have this much intelligence and use it to take advantage of others then I say we need to take another look at our penal sysytem. But then where would half the people in government be? Annnyhow! Thank you all for being your brothers keeper!
I received this "authentic" looking letter today. My first thought was: 1. I haven't entered any contests, and 2. Why should I have to pay to receive my winnings? I immediately Googled the company name, and found this site. After reading through the posts, I did the sensible thing...they provided a "no postage due" envelope, so I stuffed all the "debris" into it, and mailed it back to them! R. Elliott, Atlanta, Ga.
I wrote about this company once before. I still receive letters from PRIA at P.O.BOX 527800 Miami, FL [protected]. I so far received a total of 39 letters from these people. That comes close to $800 that I would have shelled out to these guys. I don't know if anyone knows, but in those 39 letters, they come from 6 different company names. They are all from the same P.O.BOX 527800 in Miami. The name of the director is also the same on all company letterhead. You really can't make out his name since it is written in CHICKEN SCRATCH. But on one of my letters, the first name is RAY. The second name is something like FRENDORA . How can all of these companies with the same director come from the same P.O.Box 527800. Please stay away from the letters that are from these 6 following companies like I have received. 1) PRIZE RESEARCH INTELLIGENCE AGENCY 2) ALLOCATED DISBURSEMENT AUTHORITY 3) DEPARTMENT OF CASH REPORTING 4) ENTRY ENTITLEMENT SERVICES 5) UNCLAIMED SWEEPS ADVISORY and 6) ENTRY EXCHANGE. All these from the same P.O.BOX 527800 in Miami FL. If anyone in the Miami Florida area reads this, can they possibly find out from the Postmaster there about this P.O.BOX? I will keep saving these letters to hopefully use them to end this scam. I too was taken by these guys until i found Complaints Board dot com. Thank GOD for this website. I could have lost lots of money sending those 39 letters back. I hope this helps more people from being taken for a ride.
My God, My God, I fell prey to numerous of these company's because my faith is in God and I know my situations. I hade been phopesy to that numerous of money was coming to mail and I believed it when these different company's begin to send me these checks actually saying that the check was printed up and waiting for me to send in the processing fee so that the check could be released. I sturggle so badly, need help and for this company to prey on the weak and the humble is a disgrace and I commission the Hand of God on EVERY PERSONS that is involved in this horrible and evil creed that they decided to bring upon the afflicted. My God My God, I have planted over $100.s of dollars believing and to read this from all of you just brings tears flowing from my eyes, I never put my faith in the company, I put my faith in God because God knows my heart. So I didn't receive the funds from these companies that promised but I do know that it is coming but the only differences I will not have to give nor pay out anything to receive the blessing in which God has my name on it. So my faith is still stronger than ever in what may seems impossible but all things are possible with God. I am very sadden by some of the testimonies that I have read here today, but I pray to God for all of you all strength to be encouraged no matter how evil the people in this world can, may, and will be search your heart and trust God no matter what. I found this web site because PCH I am signed up with them, and I try and search the net everyday by putting in anything just to qualify to be enter in, and I had received like 7 different letters saying all this money that I have won, and even gotten a few check in the past and yesterday stating this is my money but you know what I do now, I rip up all the letters, but I keep the checks to remind me that every perfect gift comes from the Lord. To also remind me that Jeremiah 29:11 I know the plans that I have for you and it is to prosper you and not harm you, to give you hope for a future etc. So this is what I know and this is what I believe so I hold on to the checks to let God know that I call those things which are not as though they are and each check is what I know that I will receive that will total up to the ten millions dollars that Todd from PCH will be bringing me from the Winning Circle in New York and they will be bringing the check to my address in the PCH Van with the news media and my big boquet of roses, I will not send any more money because it was money that I don't have, I don't have a job, I attend college, I am very much of age, don't have food in my house, my God I agree that these people should be dealt with but I know one that says vengences is mines saith the Lord. So I count it all joy for my lost because I have lost so much more but I have not lost my faith and believe in the one that created me, which is my Heavenly Father. So bless you all and thank you so much for posting your complaints because now I know not to fall prey to the trick of this particular enemy ever again. God bless you all.
I received one of these things in my mail today. I started to read it and a big red flag popped up in my head.
SCAM! This reminds me of the lottery scams that are all over the internet. It's important to always research
these things. These scamers are out to get your hard earned money. Don't give it to them. I agree that they should be behind bars. Something needs to be done about these people.
Hello Fellow Consumers,
Please DO NOT send this company, Prize Research Inelligency Agency,
any money. They are sending people these scam letters claiming that you won 2, 536, 092.23 but the catch is for you to send them 20.00 first. I am so sick of people playing on hard- working people in these perilous times. If there is a company that can help put a stop to these scams then please step up to the occasion.
I AGREE WITH WHAT EVERYBODY SAYS I HAVE GOTTEN THE SAME LETTER IN THE MAIL ABOUT WINNING BLAHBLAHBLAH MILLON DOLLARS I THINK THE FBI SHOULD STEP IN AND GO AFTER THESE LOW LIFE MOTHER F AND MAKE THEM PAY EVERYBODY THEY SENT THIS LETTER OUT TO AND IF THEY DON`T HAVE THE MONEY PUT THERE ### IN PRISON FOR FRAUD BECAUSE THIS IS A FEDERAL OFFENCE TO SCAM AND FRAUD PPL OUT OF THERE MONEY AND THAT IS NOT RIGHT AND LIKE I SAID THE FBI AND GOVERNMENT NEEDS TO STEP IN AND GO AFTER THESE LOW LIFE MOTHER F IF THEY DON`T THEY SHOULD LET ALL OF US HAVE OUR JUSTICE
I almost sent the 20.00 I am so glad we can check for scams on the net, and thank you all for posting your letter. I also was chosenen as a winner of this exact amount. Where are the police or some agency when these things come up. This is as bad as snatching purses from old ladies,
I too recieved one of the letters saying I had won $2, 536, 092.23 and my account no. is [protected]. I was smart enough to check it out on the internet too. Thanks to all that responded. The government needs to do something to people like this that try to cheat people out of their money, especially in times like this. linda83270@att.net
Well I get a lot of stuff in the mail. who don't want to open up a letter and say you won money. first when i got my letter i thought i did won till i see ...send $20 bux to the address below, bull ###. but then I thought what if its true. so I Google the so call company and found you guys on there, and I sent the posted mail enveloped back with a note saying. (LOL ### off you loser! you can't bull ### a [censored]ter, I bull ### all day long online, go mail you another sucker) but whats sad is that these guys is still doing it and some people don't have a computer and they getting scam. but whats goes around come around and one day they will get there's. they going to mail the wrong people..it can be a cop or a judge. so they the one who risking there life.:)
NOTE TO SELF IF YOU WIN ANY MONEY YOU DO NOT HAVE TO SEND MONEY FOR YOUR MONEY!..SCAM SCAM... IF YOU WON ANYTHING THEY WILL JUST SEND IT.
Simple idea:
I have those printable checks that I used to use on my business. They are blank, ready to be printed using some software like Quick Books or Quicken. So, here what I did: I've got an old check I got from another SCAMMER and created a new check (a fake check) using the other SCAM routing and account numbers. Then I made it to a bogus name, so they won't hurt anyone. As the envelope has it postage paid, I sent it our laughing out loud! In fact, it will be funny if they deposit the check and get it bounced as invalid. They will be charged a bank fee for that (average of $35) and will also lose the prepaid envelop money.
I can tell you that MY HOMEBREW CHECK is as convincing as theirs... And if they are getting so many checks from unadvised victims as it seems, they won't realize that mine is fake and will try to deposit it amongst with the others.
By the end, someone else $20 is being avenged!
It would be fun if everyone could do the same and make those ### lose more money than they make... So, as the authorities don't really care (believe me, they DON'T care at all), we should find ourselves ways to retaliate! I did my part... Hopefully other will have more and better ideas to make those ### life miserable.
BTW, I agree with the person who said that the Post-Office should be liable, and I would like to add that the BANKs that cash the checks should be liable ### well!
Unfortunately I don't know how to make self explosive envelopes, but it was also another great idea. :) A little bit radical, but effective!
So, does anyone else has any more ideas how to make those MTF lose money (or an arm)? I am up to make their lives as miserable as possible... :)
--Wolf!
thank God for the internet because i almost fell for it... It just seemed to good to be true so I googled PRIA and here I am... Thank you all for your comments...
8/04/09 I just received one of these Express Notices
today. I decided to first off go to Google. Think of it, what
if 100, 000 people send this scam company $20!
Mary Lou, San Antonio, TX, USA.
JUST RECEIVED A LETTER FROM PRIZE RESEARCH INTELLIGENCE AGENCY TODAY. THIS A SCAMS TO BE DOING TO PEOPLE. ITS UNFAIR TO US TO RECEIVED SOMETHING IN THE MAIL LIKE THIS
Wow I'm glad I checked the web I have the same letter. Come on District Attornys, smell the coffee.
It actually says right on the back of the letter what you are getting if you send in your $20:
"...PRIA IS A PRIVATE AGENCY THAT RESEARCHES AND PROVIDES INFORMATION ON THE AVAILABILITY OF LOTTERIES, SWEEPSTAKES, AND GAMES OF CHANCE. WE PROVIDE SUBSCRIBERS WITH OFFICIAL RULES AND REGULATIONS FOR ENTRY IN SUCH CONTESTS..."
So basically you are subscribing to a newsletter that tells you how you can win the $2, 536, 092.23 in total money PRIA has identified is available to win from their sponsors. How can they get away with this when they make it sound like you won something? They do it with cleverly worded sentences like "...and Account No. [protected] has been established in your name, to facilitate transfer to you of complete accounting of prize funds now due." When you first read that sentence, it sounds like they are going to transfer the funds to your account, but that is not what it says. It actually says they are going to transfer to you "a complete accounting" of funds due. Basically this means a list of lotteries, sweepstakes, etc. in which you can win money.
And toward the end of the letter, they mention that once they receive your form, that they will have "your cash accounting rushed to you by bonded federal carrier." Again "cash" and "cash accounting" are two different things. By cash accounting, they simply mean a list of ways you can win that cash. Oh, and a "bonded federal carrier" is just the post office. Duh!
People say it all the time, but it bears repeating: If something seems too good to be true, that's because it is. If you ever actually win something, it means (1) you entered a contest and (2) you will receive notification by registered mail. If it does not come registered mail (you have to sign for it), it is not real so throw it away!
i got one of the check to. it make u sad. you think it real and need money after have a heartattack. thank.
