Didn't Delivery my Wedding Albums
The owner of Alan Brent Photography, Alan Brent Carruth (his real name) didn't deliver my wedding albums and kept all of my money. We've been married nearly three years now. At this point, it seems unlikely that we will ever get the wedding photo album that we paid for.
Now, Alan Carruth has started a new company (using a new name). It's "The Picture Place." It's in Thousand Oaks. Feel free to stop by to ask for your album, if you are one of the hundreds of people that didn't get your wedding albums.
Everything about this claim seems right-on to me. We Alan Brent Photography take our wedding photos. We never received the albums we paid for. Alan never showed up for our wedding. He sent his daughter and another "photographer" that was completely clueless. He served as a go-fer for the daughter.
I did some poking around and found that the person above is right. This thieving family no longer calls their company "Alan Brent Photography." It's now in Thousand Oaks, called "The Picture Place."
Alan Brent does not deliver, please read!
We hired Alan Brent to photograph our 8-21-04 wedding and paid him $2700 for one of his better album packages. To this date 3-08, we still do not have our Wedding Album, Parent Albums, Wedding Enlargement, photo CD, and many other items. We call them every week, sometimes several times a day and we always leave polite and detailed messages. They NEVER answer the phone, and have only called us back 1 time in the last year. We have filed a complaint with the Los Angeles Dept. of Consumer Affairs and are one of many couples who have filed. They don't tell us how many, but I have seen over 100 couples on the internet with similar problems. Please Google Alan Brent Photography before considering them. If you need to file a complaint, call Morine/Investigator, D.C.A. at [protected].

Poor service
I just wanted to share with the others here who used these losers for their services (or lack there of). To make a VERY long story short, we married in November of 2003. Everything was fine until I wasn't getting everything in a timely manner. In my album everyone was orange. I had to fight for my stainless steel cover that they said I didn't pay extra for which I did. My proofs were damaged due to their poor handling. And it took over a year to get my canvas print. They were all very rude. I was, however, pleased with Brittany's photography at the wedding. But that was it. Nothing else. Anyways, we took them to small claims court and won! The man himself actually showed up and was humiliated. Whoo Hoo! So if you haven't sued them yet, do it. It was so much fun to see him lose. God Bless the Law and contracts signed by those who think they can screw others.
Me and my wife been married since june of 2006. Till this point haven't received our wedding photos or a call. We've been trying to reach them by phone and email. Till this day we haven't received a response. no album to go back to our memories...
My wife and I got married in January of 2006 and still have not obtained all our images and albums. Luckily we were able to get a DVD with all the images he took so we can at least make prints ourselves. We did get our wedding album, but after many unanswered telephone calls still have not received our canvas photo that was to be repaired because it sucked and our engagement album that also sucked. Alan is all talk and no action. He has no business ethics so if you are considering using him, no price is worth the pain you will go through. He is way overrated because he is the only one rating himself. His work or lack of quality work speaks volumes against him. Is there anyone out there that has the power to follow-up with some type of criminal charges against him. We can't sue him for anything since he filed bankruptcy. His PO Box in Agoura is a nice way of hiding. Last time I looked, it was at the Postal Annex at Thousand Oaks Boulevard and Lindero Canyon on the northeast side in the shopping center if anyone wanted to know.
haven't got my wedding albums yet and they don't pick up their hone anymore!
Two years and no album. They are thieves. Anyone have a civil suit started agianst him?
It's so sad to read these comments as we totally understand. We got married in March 2005 and still have not received our wedding album. We have called, sent letters, and threatened law suite (which does seem to get a call back back reply) but still, no album. We spent over $3000 for a horrible experience. This is the most unprofessional and heartless company ever!

Awful awful awful!
Completely unprofessional & and they like to take your money and then disappear! I belong to a message board with 145 others that have been screwed over by them. My husband and I got all our stuff (it took over a year 1/2), but it took a lot of blood, sweat, & tears, and a couple appearances on the local news exposing these crooks for what they were before we could finally say we had everything we paid for. Bad quality pictures, however, were not in our package, and unfortunately that was the only "extra" we got from these idiots.
The same thing happen to us. We got our pictures about 2 years after our wedding. I called and called and emailed day after day. I did not receive everything in our package. He didn't even show up at our wedding. Our pictures are very unprofessional. I had actually heard from a friend that he was on the news. I started to search on the internet and I came upon your comment. I hope you get your pictures soon. Be persistent.
Terrible service
Just want to make as many people aware of Alan Brent Photography, and their lack of professional and efficient service. I've found page after page of complaints online, and they do have a resounding "F" with the Better Business Bureau (last I checked, they have a total of over 60 complaints). A local news station actually did an investigative report on them early this year:

They are truly robbing people, and are very shady once you are waiting for them to fulfill their end of the contract. They NEVER answer their phone, you have to leave many messages before getting a phone call back, they take entirely too long to send you what you paid for, they have endless excuses and reasons for their lack of professionalism, and yet there's never an apology. I've been married for a year and a half and have yet to receive my wedding album. I had to pay for my framed signing board to be finished by someone else, because apparently they "never" put backing and glass on their frames. It took me months to have them put my photos up online after the wedding. After weeks of phone calls, I had to drive nearly 2 hours to pick up my photo CD's because they never sent them when they said they were going to, time and time again. And that's not as bad as some people have had it. I have many other complaints, but not enough room here to put it all.
My biggest concern is the fact that they are still getting business, even after all the heartache they've caused. If you have any questions or would like other links, please email me @ [protected]@yahoo.com.
