DealerRater.com knowingly presents fraudelent reviews

I identified fake positive auto dealer reviews posted on DealerRater.com, and alerted the company to that fact. They responded with a boilerplate message; and have not done anything about it f; so the fraudulent reviews are still on their site misleading people!.
For those interested in more details - below I am posting the message i sent to them:

Look at the user philipahye heaping praise on Fred's Select Auto here:http://www.dealerrater.com/dealer/Freds-Select-Auto-review-18496/page5/ only to turn around and, under moniker bmw650i, give - again - SAME VERBATIM review to Global Select!http://www.dealerrater.com/dealer/Global-Select-Auto-review-36338/ Two different people buying cars at two different nearby dealerships within a few months, and expressing their utmost praise in EXACT SAME WORDS? I don't know what the relationship between the two entities is, but in my mind that makes BOTH A SUSPECT. Something smells fishy here. To me this looks like a fraud, pure and simple.

Every site has people that do that, even Google and Yahoo. I own a dealership and noticed we got 2 negative complaints that made no sense. I clicked on the username and it brought me to 3 good reviews by the same person for a dealership that just opened. They had left bad reviews for every dealership in town. Yahoo didn't remove it until we got the guy on the phone on tape admitting to it.

I agree that the dealerrater concept is a great idea. What I don't agree with is the sensorship of negative reviews of one of their members. They even pull the negative reviews out justifying it this way:
Dear DealerRater Community Member,
Thank you for submitting a Dealer review to DealerRater.
Upon processing your review through our Content Monitoring system, we regret to inform you that your review has been removed due to the inappropriate content contained in the review. The review violates DealerRater's "Terms of Use" policy and will not be posted.
This was my review of West Edmonton Hyundai:
I would most certainly recommend this dealership to everyone. They provided me with the most unforgettable and fulfilling car buying experience of my entire life . I felt every human emotion possible and then some. My salesman (Keith) was brilliant at blowing the smoke up my back side while the Service Manager (Jeff) and Public Relations guy (Tom) surgically rammed the stick up it. The General Manager (Dwayne), safely nestled in his office, was a master at playing the invisible man trick. Magnificent I tell yaw! Outside of paying a bundle for my car they ensure that you just keep paying and paying through their service methods. And not just out of pocket but time as well. It took three months and seven visits later until I was able to finally get their stick out of my back side. Another dealership pulled that out for me. Although the hemorrhoids still linger. Heck! WHY wouldn't I recommend this dealership. LMOA. Click the YouTube video link below or copy and paste it into your web browser for my complete experience. Or visit the "brokenedmonton channel" on YouTube. Enjoy.

Yes, Dealer Rater is rigged! Suntrup Kia is rated at 4.8 to 4.9 out of a possible 5 stars. That couldn't be any more false! I find it funny that all other ratings for this dealership ar 1 to 3 stars at the most. Shopped for a vehicle at Suntrup Kia of West County in St Louis based on the high rankings on Dealer Rater. It has turned out to be one of the biggest mistakes that could have been made. The sale was forced, the only thing missing was the gun! They took our car, had my roommate sign what THEY called a "dummy contract" to take the vehicle for a couple days, and was told he could "walk away" and get your car back. Two days later, they said the trade-in was GONE! Then the heavy-handed threats, bullying, intimidation and harassment that is talked about on all other websites in regards to Suntrup Kia and Suntrup Automotive Group began. We even have an audio recording as PROOF of what the actual experience was! They threatened to cash in on an 18% loan, originally said there was a $3, 000 rebate on the car on Saturday, but my Monday it was only $1, 000. Then one of the managers said there never was a $3, 000 rebate! They used tricks and tactics that give car salespeople very bad names. Do NOT trust Dealer Rater and certainly do NOT trust Suntrup Kia or any other Suntrup Automotive Group Dealership.

I am making it my mission to see Dealerrater.com go down. They only want to post negative comments. Extortion comes to mind. If you have to pay to block negative comments something is wrong. What ever happened to people using the BBB, they treat both parties equally even if you are not a member. They do not do anything to verify that a complaint is legit, they just like posting negative comments and they are taking them from anywhere they can find them.

I agree! I KNOW ITS A SCAM. When I contacted them to discuss my first complaint ALL THEY WANTED WAS A CHECK TO SIGN UP. I do not mind that customer can post reviews good or bad. TELL ME THIS. DEALERRATER would not give me any customer information to EVEN allow me to see if it was truly someone angry. I contacted a LAWYER. My lawyer said its slander. I want to bring them down. BUT IF YOU PAY THEM... I believe they post there own bad reviews just to get us to sign up and pay there rent HATE THEM

DealerRater has partnerships with dealerships and will not let anyone post negative reviews!

DO NOT BUY YOUR VEHICLE FROM BERTERA

I purchased a car from Bertera and brought it back to them twice WITHIN 30 days. Each time they said nothing was wrong with it and told me to bring it to Toyota, "they would say the same thing". So I brought it to Toyota and at the time I brought it to them it went over 30 days. It turns out the car needed a new engine.

I was stuck dealing with a lawyer for a year and had to get another reliable car to drive in the mean time. After a year of dealing with a lawyer I only got $1000 while the new engine cost me $6000. I had to save up enough money to replace the engine and at the same time pay two car payments and insurance on both cars.

Another year went by and I was still not able to sell the car by itself so I had to trade both of my cars in for one car. Now, years later I'm basically still paying for two cars due to all of the negative equity, and will be until my car is paid off.

Do not buy from Bertera, they ruined my life.
