DreamHost | WordPress Shared Unlimited I have 3 websites hosting with Dreamhost on the Shared Unlimited package. I have not received any orders in the past 2 months as the PHP email forms do not work. I have repeatedly submitted test orders via the forms on all 3 websites and never receive any emails. Dreamhost Hosting

Dreamhost's refusal to fix a simple ongoing email issue that affected at least 50% of emails sent — having to constantly record the email was not spam when sent to more than one recipient resulted in, after many months of 'no fix' and a lot of lip service — my off the chart frustration. Their solution?

Kick me off the hosting plan. After years of loyal payment and many, many referrals. Great business.

A lot of lip service no solution. Find any other hosting company but dreamhost

Dreamhost Fraud Telephone and Email Scam

I have received a scam call from a Russell Johnson UK tel [protected] regarding the hosting of a website for 4 years ago. This has been inactive for a number of years. I had hosted this though a website designer who I believe may have had held an account with Dream host.. I was told that I owed 4 years worth of monthly subscriptions and that a senior manager would be in touch within 3 days to resolve the issue. I have never agreed a contract directly with Dream host so cannot be liable to pay for a hosting service. The scammer then sent an email to me escalating the case and suggesting I rang a no. which is not actually a genuine one. The email was also ending in .cf Then I received the Senior Manager email (John Hart): (polite but threatening)! Action Fraud have been informed."Before I begin I want to briefly introduce myself. My name is John and I'm a senior member of the customer finance and asset protection department at Dream Host. I am responsible for cases with extreme circumstances such as your own, which was brought to my attention earlier today. I have read the email you received from Russell on Monday evening and also looked into potential methods for you to be able to clear the unpaid balance. We recommend taking action as soon as possible to avoid unnecessary additional fees and disturbance to your account in the near future. This may also include the use of a debt collection agency to recover costs we have incurred as a result of non payment on your part. We do, however, understand that you have stated your account was being operated by another entity, therefore have many extended your threshold before such action stated above is engaged. After discussing this case in depth with my colleagues and executive manager today, I have been instructed to set up your balance as an invoice. Please go to https://www.dreamhost.cf/payments/invoice/2569 and follow the instructions to submit your details on our secure portal. This will ensure you will be able to continue parking your domain and keep your company brand name reserved from potential competitors. I must mention that as a multinational company, we have a large amount of professional web designers waiting to assist people like yourself get their business up and running online. All these companies are trusted Dream Host partners. In order to become a partner, designing houses need to maintain a high standard, which we check regularly. In your case, due to the circumstances, we have decided to provide a money-back guarantee for a professional design with one of our partners to boost your business and create its online presence. The official DreamHost.com in US replied to my email promptly and supportively: "The phone call didn't come from us; we don't have any staff in the UK." These characters do not work for this company. Clearly security information has been stolen by these scammers from DreamHost.com

My website was hosted by Dreamhost. I wanted to backup my account -- all my files. They had a "one-click" way of doing this. They sent me an email with a link to download files that the email said were my "ENTIRE Dreamhost account". In fact, the files were only a small fraction of my account. When I complained, they did nothing to help.
