Unauthorized billing
DRI*CA.COMSOFTWARE [protected] MN appeared on my checking account as an authorization for today (12/23/09) in the amount of $69.99. I haven't used card in several days (only use for gas and groceries). Called [protected] since that's what appeared on my online banking screen.
Got a recording that said the number was no longer in service (that's fishy already, that number just showed up today) and also said to call [protected]. Called that number and talked to some lady from I believe India (I honestly wasn't surprised).
She asked for my e-mail address to confirm order and said she couldn't find any record of a purchase. Then asked my name and could still not find any record of purchase (wonderful).
Asked for my credit card number, and I was hesitant to give it out but figured they already had it and she needed it to do anything, so she found the purchase and said it was an automatic renewal for something I had never heard of (ca anti-virus? I've been using Norton forever and renewed a few months ago).
Gave me some long numbers and said my account would be credited in 5-7 business days (more like 10-12 real days with Christmas this week). Of course it only takes them 1 day to charge you and now I have to deal with the overdraft fee (payday is tomorrow but it put me below $0) and get a new debit card, which is always fun.
How can companies "auto-renew" subscriptions for stuff you've never had? She could find no record of me in there but yet I get charged $69.99? People should get real jobs and not scam other people out of their hard earned money.

Billed 2 years in a row for no service
Charged Oct.16, 2007 for $50.20 for canceled service. This year, Oct. 16, 2008 for $61.32 for no service at all. I have a new e-mail address which someone got without my knowledge. My old computer crashed this year, taking all the stored info with it. I have had my new one for only a few months, so what was I charged for? I have informed the authorities to what has been done with my credit card. I want all my monies refunded asap.

Scam charges
I just found that DRI* ca.com charged to my debit card $29.99. I didn't buy anything from them, I don't even know who they are... I will go to my bank tomorrow and talk about this. What is this?
Is there way to avoid this kind of things happen?

Good Lord! I too got all up in arms over a charge on my account paid to DRI*ca.com for $69.99. However, when I called the phone number next to the charge, I realized that it was for an on-line purchase to update my CA Anti-virus software. I immediately called my card back and told them to NOT go through with the dispute. I feel really stupid and my next note is to CA for the way they invoice. They need to make it a little more simple judging by all the notes posted on these sites!

I see today a charge of 80, 49 euros on my account for DRI*CA.COM for something I never bougth. It was taken out of my account a few days after payment by credit card for something on internet in Great Britain. This payment was normally taken out of my account.
Sorry for my english.
I opened my account at the bank and saw a charge ($29.99 dated 2/23/09 for DRI*ca.com) which I have never heard of or authorized .Please let me know what this was for so we can get this matter taken care of. I cannot afford $29.99 to be taken out of my account especially when it is not legal.
After reading other complaints I need to rescind my complaint for the DSI*ca.com charge to my Chase vica credit card account. They are ligitimate and automatically charge my card each year for anti-virus protection. My only question is why am I being charged $59.99 when all the other complaints indicate lower charges?
In balancing my Continental Airlines Chase Visa account today I came across a charge from DSI*ca. com in the abount of 59.99. I have never heard of these characters and it took about 5 mins. to have the charge removed from my card.
I got charged $54.42 on my Capital One credit card. I don't know who DRI*ca is. I have never ordered anything from their website. This is a scam or a hacker. I will now have to fight my bank to take off these charges.
I got charged and I did not purchased anythign from the website. I am still arguing with WAMU to take the charge of my account.
Unauthorized charges!
I recently received my credit card statement and a charge for 49.99 showed up on 1 March 2008 for Dri*ca.com [protected] Mn. I do not ever recall making any such purchase and called my credit card company to report an unauthorized charge. of course it was after hours and the person answering was in India and ave me another number to call during normal business hours.
I also found out from complaintsboard.com that this is a computer associates anti virus scam occurring from using the tigerdirect.com order site and previously ordering a Laptop with Computer Associates anti virus software and an alleged rebate scam.
I am very upset that Tigerdirect.com is associated with this scam as I have been a faithful customer of theirs for years.

I received a charge on my credit card for an item I did not recognize. It was charged when I was out of the country and not using my credit card. I called and spoke to someone named Diana probably in India or Pakistan, who said I ordered anti-virus software. I told her I did not. She repeated that she had my order in front of her. I said I Googled the company and they have a lot of complaints for fraudulent charges. She put me on hold and came back with a cancellation order number assuring me that I would receive a credit in five days. I then received a confirmation from DRI*ca.com but most of it was trying to scare me about not having anti-virus protection and trying to resell me something I did not want or buy in the first place.
I caught a rip-off attempt by DRI*ca.com by logging onto my account. They have billed the credit card for $29.99 and $10.00 on 3.31.09. I am calling the bank immediately and sending an Email copy of this rip-off attempt.
Just discovered they got me back in september59.99. Same woman in India put me in hole for an overdraft
No chance of a refund.
I agree with chipdogg & littlebutterflyfantacy. Had the same thing occur to me yesterday & today. Charges were 49.99 & 79.99. Called the number listed. First time got an individual (sounded East Indian)
gave me a refund # & was told my account would be credited 5-10 business days. I am in the same position
as chipdogg. It overdrew my acct., had to cancel card (which makes it very inconvenient for me) & must
wait for 2 weeks for new card. I would give anything to know how they got my card # in the first place.
If anyone has any ideas on this please post it. On the 2nd. charge some lady (East Indian I believe) told
me the e-mail on the account was --- tyson74@hotmail.com. Gave me 2 phone numbers. Called them.
One was a taxi stand & the other one was a North Carolina #. Neither of these numbers had any idea
of what I was talking about. I am tempted to contact FBI. Police in my area are all ready on this.
Good luck to all of you.
I have just hopefully sorted out my problem with Dri*CA Software (an e commerce partner) to many computer anti-virus or software companies. I also had cancelled my subscription with CA Vet well over 1 year ago, but recently in March 2010 I was charged on my credit card $49.95. I then rang the bank and had my credit card stopped and a new credit card issued.
I then round the Australian contact no. for CA Vet [protected] on their web site. I spoke to a girl in India and to my surprise was very helpful. She listened well and cancelled (again) my subscription with CA Vet and had assured me that a refund of $49.95 would be issued against my credit card (the one that I had cancelled). She gave me a transaction ID no to ring back etc. I then had to ring my bank and they told me that they can refund the money to my CANCELLED credit card and to ring the bank in 5-7 days and that the money would be transferred to my NEW credit card.
THEN I rang the [protected] again, spoke to a different chap, quoted my transaction Id number and he confirmed my OLD credit card details and assured me that the CA Vet was cancelled and that $49.95 would be taken off my credit card.
All I have to do is RING my bank in about 7 days and they will hopefully confirm the transaction and transfer it to my NEW credit card...phew
Hope that this is helpful...It works in Australia so far.
Good luck.
Please ensure that you cancel any subscriptions with any on-line businesses correctly.

Have you ordered Anti spi-ware From DRI* CA Internet Security Team ? These people sucking money out of people for an antivirous/personal protection dose not work and is a scam that gets your credit card number and adds charges continously and you can not drop them or errase their program. And they do not have to pay you back because some clause in the small print that most people overlook. Our charges started at 29.99, then 69.99 and were unautherized. They sent emails with disconect options but they do not work. Buyer beware!
I am annually billed by DRI*ca for $49.99 despite annually asking (and getting) a refund and requesting to be removed from their auto-renew system. I call [protected] or go through their online chat at http://shop.ca.com/support
I agree they are obnoxious, but they are good at refunding payments.
Just had a charge of $47.88 show up on my MC. I don't know these people, and have never ordered anything from them. I will follow up with their 877 number, then my bank and advise.
Arg! I just had the same dang thing happen. What a load of crap! How can they do this?
I recieved a charge on my credit card for 29.99 from dri*ca.com that I had no idea who this was. I called customer service and discussed it with them and they deleted the charge. I dont know who these people are but they need to be prosecuted for fraud.
