I went through this company thinking I was getting my student loan taken care of. I am paying for a service to have my payments lowered but still have to pay them and another company (Navient) to actually pay the loan. Is there any possible way for me to be refunded the money I have paid this company. I am in a financial hardship and am having trouble paying the loan, I cannot pay both companies Please help.

Equitable Acceptance student loans

I was called by integra student services on august 29, 2017 about student loan forgiveness program and now my credit report was requested by equitable acceptance. I don't know who equitable acceptance is and what they are doing with my credit report. I believe I have been scammed. I believe that a company called integra student services signed me up for a bogus student loan forgiveness program without my permission and gave my information to this equitable acceptance company. I have found out that this is a complete scam and I want no part of this program. I want a total refund of any monies charged to me and I have not given permission to them to enroll me in this terrible scam. I have filled a complaint with the better business bureau.

Equitable Acceptance ill informed information

I attended a bridal show in Evansville, IN and registered for all kinds of give-aways and prizes. I was phoned about two weeks after the event stating that I had been selected as a winner of a "free" trip, all I had to do was attend a cooking display show with my fiancé and pay for airfare, everything else was free. We attended the show and decided to purchase the beginner set of pots and pans from the show. Don't get me wrong, I still have the pots and pans and we use them everyday to cook with. I know that they are healthier and better to cook with. I really do enjoy the product. The problem is with the information Simplicity Bridals gave us. Their representative told us that the bridal promotion was 0% interest for one year, and after that one-year the payments would go up due to interest starting to accumulate. I take notes on everything, and did so that night, I know with everything in me that is what we were told at the showing. It is the only reason that we decided to purchase the set. When the bills from Equitable Acceptance began arriving every month in the mailbox there was a 24% interest being charged from day one. I quickly phoned both Simplicity Bride and Equitable Acceptance to report the issue. Both said, "Their representative would never promote such a deal, because they do not offer anything like that." I spent weeks phoning back and forth from both companies, offered to send the pots and pans back (they were still in the box) and even offered to pay them a re-stock fee just to not have that kind of interest on something. I was livid, and still get upset when I think about it. It has been almost 2 years since then, and I still am paying for the pots and pans. It has been next to impossible to catch up that kind of interest and it was not enough money to try to get a lawyer involved. I don’t believe that Simplicity should be allowed to be involved in such an industry. Brides and grooms both have high stress and wild emotions during the planning process and Simplicity is taking advantage of such an influential industry.

Equitable is the worst company ever! My family recently bought a rainbow vacuum from there and the ###ing sales person was really nice and everything but he knew how to take advantage of my family since my parents don't speak english so he was smart enough to sell them the ###ing rainbow without telling them to read the contract or anything i was there and i was translating for them but the smart guy told us that we would pay directly to his ###ing company not to a finance corporation and he never said that the ###ing interest rate would be so high, 18%. so after two months that my parents started to pay for that ###, they noticed that the amount was not being lowered and they called Equitable to see what was going on and the guy at the costumer service was rude as hell and he just said "You should have read the contract because the sales person has no obligation to read it to you" and I reply "but he should explain everything before saying that we would pay to his store instead of this corporation. If we knew it was a loan directly from a company we would never get that vacuum" and he replied "Well read the contract" and I couldn't get another answer. so i just ended the called and yeah was treated so irrespecutful and rude. Seriously Equitable Corporation if you are going to have such rude employees don't even ###ing waste you time saying all fancy words trying to dump people into buying your ###! WORST COMPANY EVER!

IN REPLY TO 1. Free Stuff - they get you there with offers of all kinds of free things. Travel deals mainly. The thing is, to claim your free prizes you have to pay fees, be able to travel on specific dates and often times pay your airfare. There really was nothing free about anything that was offered.

NO ONE GIVES ANYTHING AWAY FOR FREE? WOULD YOU? GOD YOU PEOPLE ARE SO NAIEVE

LATE FEES ARE BASED ON THE STATE YOU LIVE IN AND THE FEE TO BE A PYMT BY PHONE IS ALWAYS $5 AND A CARD DEPENDS ON STATE AND HOW MUCH YOUR PAYMENT IS GOD YOU PEOPLE ARE DO [censor]ING STUPID!

IN REPLY TO :Last point about Equitable - they will report you to the credit bureaus the second that you are late. They will phone your relatives and phone your work. They are extremely agressive in their collections - so again, do not buy these pots and pans if you think you will ever be late on a payment.

HEY HERES AN IDEA READ YOUR CONTRACT, I BET EACH ONE OF YOU WERE TOO STUID TO READ YOUR CONTRACT. EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW IS IN THE CONTRACT. OH AND HERE'S ANOTHER IDEA IF YOU DONT UNDERSTAND ASK. I HAVE READ THEIR CONTRACT AND EVERYTHING IS LAID OUT IN BLACK AND WHITE FOR SOMEONE WHO IS ACTUALLY SMART ENOUGH TO READ IT. AND BY THE WAY. SIMPLICITY GOURMET AND EQUITABLE ARE 2 COMPLETELY SEPERATE COMPANIES. EVERYONE NEEDS TO GROW UP AND ACT LIKE ADULTS AND READ THINGS BEFORE YOU SIGN THEM!

Equitable Acceptance not billing/ harrassing phone calls

I have cookware from cordn bleau, "E.A." is the ones that financed the money. they will not send me any bills. when I contact them i either get hung up on or when I do reach someone they are extremely rude and want to offer extremely riduclas suolutions to fix the billing. any help would be greatly appreciated.

Equitable Acceptance harassment

they harass me and my husband. I had made a payment and i sent a money order and they continue to harass me. I spoke with the manager and she was very rude to me . so i am going to report them.

What's the deal with their web sight everytime i try to log on it say thers' a ERROR so hell int the hay do they expect you to make a payment when ther damn sight is down all of the time

The pots and pans are awful! Stupid mistake being sucked into the awesome sales pitch, never again will I go to anything like it. I have had mine for 2 and 1/2 years and the handles are already falling off...what the crap is that for $3, 000.oo pots and pans.

Ashling or whatever...it doesn't say in the contract that "we'll call you constantly even when you make a payment" or "don't call because we'll never answer" or when you use the pots and pans everything will stick " or "the vacations are not free" and when they did their demonstration they didn't show that the dishes suck. Another thing is when you hear from a former worker that they scam people n sell ### pots I'm pretty sure I'd be mad at the business. So before you go insulting people for making a mistake which people do why don't you get you're facts straight.

They even had the nerve to contact my family and my previous employer 2 years after I had already payed off my loan. But for some reason they never attempted to contact me. Although they did try to get information on me and my husband from family members. And my previous employer. I have never dealt with such a more disrespectful and shameless company. To think that they would go to such extreme lengths for a loan that dose not even exist anymore. And to address ashling2009's comment. I'm pretty sure that HARASSING MY FAMILY AFTER AND LOAN HAS LONG BEEN PAID WAS NOT IN MY CONTRACT AGREEMENT. MAYBE YOU SHOULD FIND OUT THE WHOLE STORY BEFORE YOU PROCLAIM THE IGNORANCE OF OTHERS. BUT MORE THAN LIKELY YOU JUST WORK FOR THE COMPANY AND YOU DON'T HAVE ANY PROBLEM TAKING ADVANTAGE OF PEOPLE.

GET REAL PEOPLE. FIRST OF ALL WHO PURCHASES COOKWARE FOUR UP TO 3, 000.00 DOLLARS. SECOND OF ALL READ THE DAMN CONTRACT BEFORE YOU SIGN IT. EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW IS THERE IN THE CONTRACT. YOU CANT SIGN A LEGAL BINDING CONTRACT THEN COMPLAIN LATER BECAUSE YOU DIDN'T READ IT. ALSO UNDER FEDERAL LAW, THEY CAN NOT TAKE MONEY OUT OF YOUR ACCT WITHOUT YOUR PERMISSION. DON'T LEAVE OUT 1/2 OF THE STORY BECAUSE YOU ARE ANGRY, THERE IS NOT A SINGLE PERSON IN THIS WORLD WHO IS GOING TO BREAK FEDERAL LAW AND LOSE THEIR JOB, NOT TO MENTION GOING TO PRISON TO RUN MONEY THEY ARE NOT AUTHORIZED TO RUN. IF YOU ARE MAD AT ANYONE, BE MAD AT YOURSELF BECAUSE OF YOUR HIGH LEVEL OF STUPIDITY.

I also agree with you, They are thieves and liars. My husband and I are a young couple and we bought the pots and pans thinking they would be great. The first time we used them they burnt everything, So we use the $150 pot and pan set we got for a wedding gift from another person that works fine. I called to return the set and they said I couldn't because I used them. I stopped paying and now they harrass me at work and leave rude messages on my phone. I really regret buying their product and now my husband and I have really bad credit and we are stuck with thier useless pots and pans. Did anyone get their money back?

I totally agree, they call me and harass me at home & job . I have never had to deal with such rude and unprofessional people. I strongly stress if anyone is interested in buying anything from this company
DO NOT DO IT. I have also spoke with numerous managers and supervisors about returning the product ever since day 1 that I received it. because they do not do what they said they would (cooking pots and pans). They all tell me that it is not there problem and there is nothing that they can do about it. I have asked for a 800 number for who I need to contact to return the product and they tell me they don't have to give that information to me even though they are their financing company and they do have it. I also had set up a ONE time payment over the phone with a checking account. the next month they took the money out of my account without my permission & I called and told they can not take the money out without my permission. the supervisor told me she can take money out anytime they want for payment.
