Unauthorized Charge
I received a charge for $129.99 by Everyday Values. When I called to ask them about it they said they could not find me in the system, had no way of locating me and asked me to fax them a copy of the charge and they would get back to me in a few days. I went through my bank, disputed the charge and had it removed. BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY! I had no idea who...

I received an $149.99 charge on my credit card out of nowhere this last month. When I called they stated that we had cashed a $9 check OVER A YEAR AGO related to some promotion from Budget Rental Car. They were fine with processing a refund (they say I should get it within 7 days) and they did state that they keep these records on microfilm and will send me a copy of the cancelled check within 20 - 40 days.
We have no recollection of cashing ANY $9 check and the fact that they would charge us for a yearly membership over a year later is very suspect. I am contacting Budget Rental Car to find out what their involvement and knowledge is (if they will talk to me). When/if I receive a refund and when/if I receive the information they promissed I will post a response to this with that information.
When I asked what city/state they were located in they told me Ohio. However, my charge noted CT and that is the address I found on their website.

FRAUD
CHARGED OUR AMERICAN EXPRESS $149.99 FOR A MEMBERSHIP FEE - NO IDEA WHO THESE PEOPLE EVEN ARE AND NEVER AUTHORIZED THIS CHARGE. WHEN YOU CALL TO CANCEL THEY HASSLE YOU, TELL YOU THEY CAN'T FIND YOUR MEMBER NUMBER, TRANSFER YOU TO DIFFERENT PEOPLE BUT IF YOU CONTINUE TO SAY YOU NEED TO CANCEL AND THEY NEED TO FIGURE OUT ON THERE END WHATEVER NEEDS TO BE DONE YOU WILL BE ABLE TO CANCEL. THEY REFUND YOU THE PRORATED PORTION OF YOUR UNUSED MEMBERSHIP (THAT YOU DIDN'T WANT IN THE 1ST PLACE) MY CREDIT IS SUPPOSED TO SHOW UP ON MY STATEMENT IN 1 OR 2 BILLING CYCLES...WE SHALL SEE.

JUST ANOTHER SCAM! Don't fall for this (Everyday Values. I had never heard of these people and suddenly I got notice of "Membership Materials". Seems they got my name from "Miles-Kimbal" which is another one to stay away from! Even though they same "Free Postage" they then say you didn't order before offer closed! I immediately cancelled EVERYTHING I ordered and they still tried to charge Me! Be careful and cancel membership immediately or they will charge $16.99 per month. I have confirmation #, hope it works!
Please contact Freed & Weiss right away!
Hope this helps!
Best,
Elizabeth
