First Amerigo reviews and complaints
CONFUSED IF I'M FIXING TO GET RIPPED OFF-
I am trying to get a small loan directly deposited into my checking acct-I started dealing w a man named Andy Hoffman, then he left and now im dealing w a Mr, Mark Watson, if thats he's real name-i got burned bad a few years back by a car internet scheme and they got me for over $3500.00-the cops were never able to trace them, u r suppose to get a green dot money pack card, and put 10% of whatever u qualify for on it only for approx 45 min then your loan officer(mark in my case)will call u back n let u know the funds have been released and the money is in your checking or savings acct-your choice-so i do this-everything goes as planned-Mr Mark calls back n tells me the finanacial dept needs to deposit that $200(from the green dot money card) into my checkings due to my credit rating being so low-no surprise to me(two divorces...)i agree because i'm still getting it back, 2 min later another call saying the financial dept said they had already deposited the money but i didn't have access to it at this moment-i needed $200 more dollars on another money card and they would release the funds within 20 min-so please, anyone reading this, please take time to give me your honest opinion because i have dealt w another conpany(very small) over the internet unsecured loan n the funds were there within the hour i just need a higher amount to get caught up on everything-I REALLY WANT TO DO BUISNESS W FIRST AMERIGO-even if u work w the company give me some input-this branch has been doing buisness for over 6 years now!But coming up w another $200 if its a scam will just ruin my families Christmas, but if its legite, as i hope it is, i'll be fine because i am mom and dad in my family, always have been-so i have 5 sets of little eyes looking up at granny this year, , , Thank you, R Brevaldo

DOES NOT RETURN CALLS
On Oct. 22 I contacted First Amerigo looking for a quick loan to open my small business. I paid the $299 registration fee and was told there were no other fees. About a week later I rec'd a "First Amerigo Contract" that states I must pay an additional 9.9% of the amount I am funded. I refused to sign and asked for the $299 to be refunded. About 2 weeks later, after several emails and phone calls to First Amerigo, "Anthony" (a finance director) called me and left a message promising to make me happy with either a loan or a refund. He also requested to wait until Dec. 20 because that's when "lenders get aggressive to make their portfolios look good". I returned his call immediately and said "NO. I WANT MY MONEY BACK. I CANNOT WAIT ANOTHER MONTH". It is now Jan. 14 and my calls are still unreturned. I still have Anthony's voice message, by the way.

Complaint Retraction
On August 30th 2009 I posted a complaint about First Amerigo, a loan company research provider that spent over a month processing my loan application, with no results.
Apparently due to my “geographical location”, First Amerigo service agent research efforts were hindered.
I was pleasantly surprised to be contacted by First Amerigo and informed I would be receiving a full refund, although their service agreement with me implies no such guarantees.
I must admit, I am impressed with the integrity displayed by the financial professionals of the First Amerigo organization and would highly recommend their services to others.

I used First Amerigo 3 weeks ago to consolidate cc bills. I did my research on 3 companies and decided they were the most qualified. Once I started their process, I was in constant contact with Devyn in the finance department. When it was all said and done, I got my loan and would recomend their loan consulting to anyone. Shannon was especially nice and answered most all my concerns.
I thought you were in Florida and they are in Florida? Sounds fishy that they cannot help you in there home state. I wonder what areas they serve?

First Amerigo is a scam. I just got off the phone with a man named Michael who called me from California. He gave me a bogus address.Once I researched the address and that was bogus, that was all I needed to know and hung up. They tried to tell me I needed to give them 234.00 before they could release my loan by Green Dot. This is another scam. http://www.wftv.com/news/news/local/action-9-investigates-loan-scam-involving-green-do/nSZQk/
After this, I did look into them further. First Amerigo has a Better Business Bureau ranking of F.http://www.bbb.org/central-florida/business-reviews/advance-fee-brokers/first-amerigo-funding-in-longwood-fl-40359273 Apparently they used to be in Florida, but are have now set up shop in CA. The phone number I was given is [protected].
DO NOT fall for this scam. If you have been scammed file a police report, and file a report with your state attorney general's office too.
