RIP OFF/Fraud
I ordered a 1.98 CD a advertised on the internet for a listing of available grants. Without my permission, they used my credit card number and charged my account another $69.95 without my authorization. I attempted to contact them about the fraud but got the run around. I checked there web site and there are many complaints such as mine. It appears to be mail fraud. When they get your card number for $1.98 they then take out another $69.95 which I did not authorized. They said I had seven days to return the CD if I did not want it, which I was also unaware of that. It took eleven days for the CD to arrive via US Mail. By thr time I got the CD they had already drafted my account and stolen my money.

Look out - it's a fraud!
Watch out! Grant Funding Search and My GrantSite / Grant Master CD supposed 'free' CD offer (you just pay shipping) is a scam! Initially they take your couple of dollars (for shipping the CD) and never send you any CD. Then, to top it all off, if you don't cancel within 7 days, they take another$40 - $70 from your account! By the time you call their phone 'customer service', it's too late. You've been had. The terms are NOT disclosed anywhere when you click to submit. When you call, they'll direct you to another website (.net site that lists the terms) instead of the (.com site that doesn't list any terms) you signed up on and pull the old switch-a-roo! It's fraud I tell you. I got stuck by 3 different similar outfits, so never again.
Maybe my expensive & painful learning experience will help you - BEWARE, BEWARE, BEWARE of these 'free grant searches & free money cd's'!
You can protect yourself by doing a google search on the company BEFORE you sign up (now he tells me that!). So sorry I believed them. The above businesses are deceptive, fraudulent, un-ethical and are practicing cutthroat on innocent consumers.
I purchased a CD from this website for $1.98--which I have never received--and after having to cancel three additional "services" that I never agreed upon, was charged today with a $69.95 fee. I have put this into dispute with my credit card company and have been unable to contact the company. I want justice to this travesty.
great customer service gives a gmail account to handle complaints lol

did not process refund, unauthorized charges
Company sent "free" CD and included 7-day free trial of an online search program.
The online site did not work, none of the navigation items went anywhere.
I immediately called and emailed to cancel (prior to the 7 day trial period ending). They responded in writing that they had already charged my credit card $69.95 (several days early!) but would refund it effective the next day.
Three weeks later and NO refund!

Fraud
This company is a legal scam. I ordered a free cd and only had to pay $1.98 for shipping. Somewhere hidden in the terms apparently they state they will charge you $69.95 if you don't cancel in a certain time frame. When you try to call them you get a voice mail by from someone who barely speaks english. I don't expect a call back and I will probably be out...
Read full review of Grant Funding Search and 334 commentsOffered CD for 1.99 & then debited my bank account $70.00
I am crippled from serious injuries sustained in a bad car crash in 2001. I have to continue to search for money/grants in hopes of treating my injuries as well as assistance in paying for previous medical expenses, as I was hit by an uninsured motorist; and, was forced to make trips to the Emergency Room.
Two days ago, I found a site offering a "Grant Funding Search" CD for $1.99 - including postage and handling. I found out last night that I had been scammed and that they had the audacity to swindle a debit my bank account - a crippled woman - for $70.00
I tried to reach them by e-mail, but my searches come back as "no such address." I've tried to call without success. I realized I had been scammed when I checked my bank account and; in addition to stealing from me; they don't even have my name on it! I am going to try to send you the CD; and hope you can punish these terrible Godless people for what they have done to me and probably countless others. Honestly, what is this world coming to? Please stop them. Thank you.

I was only supposed to be charged $1.99 for the shipping of a CD. Later on I get the news that this company wants to take $65-$70 out of my credit card account. I called them and they told me to go to their website and cancel the order, but when I go to the site there is nothing on it about cancelling anything as far as I can read. What can I do before they take out the money? Any help from others who have had the same trouble would be appreciated.

I received a call today from [protected], the customer service rep wanted me to pay $1.99 for S&H to receive at free Grant CD. However, I informed them I didn't feel comfortable just giving them my information over the phone and that since they had my email address they should forward me an email to process my request so that I'd have a paper trace. However, the sale rep became frustrated and tried to convince me that I was being foolish and it was only $1.99. Even after I informed him that just b/c he says he'll only charge me a $1.99 doesn't mean he will; he could charge me whatever he wanted. He went on to give me his name Nelson Lee (probably fake because he sounded Indian), his license # 4018 (whatever that is) and his number [protected]. I told him that wasn't going to change my mind and I wasn't comfortable doing business him or his company. I hope this information helps you catch these heartless criminals. Times are hard for most of us but it appears that every keeps stealing from those who are suffering the most. Such a shame...when will it end. Jesus we need you!
I never got the CD, and that should have been my first warning. I emailed them to notify them I could not access the account online as promised. When I checked my credit card account, I was charged $69.95. When I canceled, they put me on hold for a long time, but I got an email confirming that my acct was canceled.
I recieved an email about cash grants. I clicked on the site, which I don't remember the website address. I ordered the CD for $1.98 and charged it to my credit card. I got my credit card bill today and saw where I was charged $69.95 also. There was nothing on the site when I ordered the CD about the additional charge. I have not played the CD on my computor as of yet because I was having some problems getting it to play. I did not in anyway authorize to additional charge of $69.95 as I did not have that much available credit on my card so there is know way I would have agreed to that charge. It was billed from Grant Funding Search [protected] UT if that is any help. How do I go about getting that removed from my credit card?
Thank You

This outfit is run by a bunch of Mexicans (Probably Illegal Aliens) stealing peoples credit card numbers and charging them as they please at $69.95 a draw. They have a professional looking Web Site plus backup sites rating them as a 5 star service. When you show interest in their site they call you on the telephone and say anything necessary such as: Only a $1.98 mailing fee, $120.00 Special gas card offer for members, Unmatched Grant filing Assistance, and regardless of your situation say you are qualified for a grant in your area using your Zip Code as part of the scam. It's gonna take the FBI to take these guys down, they are extremely well organized and more than Intelligent enough to know loopholes in the law to where a normal citizen can't touch them. They stole $69.95 from me, and there's nothing I can do about it except have the bank issue me a new debit/credit card with a new number. EVERYTHING ABOUT THIS COMPANY IS A LIE, DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY OF YOUR BANKING INFORMATION.
I have fallen for the Grant Funding Search scam. I bought the cd for 2 bucks then got the cd a month later along with a 74.78 charge to my card and a charge from a company I NEVER signed up with called IWB Club. They charged me 29.95. I had no clue about the IWB Club...I called them with this number [protected] and waited for an hour and ever got anyone on the phone. I want my money back, but I can never get a hold of anyone to cancel the membership and get a refund.
I ordered a CD paying only shipping of 1.19 or so from this company. Days later I checked my account and there was a debit without my concent of $69.95 dollars. I called the company to get a refund but they said that I should have read the "fine print". Now, when I ordered this there was no "fine print!" I argued with them for 45 minutes even asked to speak to a manager and they told that there was no manager! and if there was he would tell me the same. Please let me know what I can do, who I can contact for any support! I want my money back.! We need to get these kind of companies...
i requested there cd for grant funding that was only supposed to be 1.98 which was taken out of my checking account by grant funding search. And then 69.95 charge was taken out under a different company name different than grant funding search, so you dont recognize where the charge is for. i cant find the website that they are listed under either. i contacted the company [protected] and asked to speak to a supervisor or manager and every time i called neither can be reached. all they would say im sorry but you have to read the fine print. im sorry a manager isn't available. who ever heard of being charged 70 dollars a month to look on there website. they are a shady company and i cancelled my credit card because of them. i couldnt even imagine doing business with a company that is corrupt as them. i plan on going to the local news about there little scam they have going and made my bank aware of fraudulent withdrawl from my account, and they are investigating it also. if i have to i will have my lawyer contact them just to get the 70 dollars back that isn't theres. i would love for this so called government grant company to have to pay back everyone they have scammed, and actually go under and see how it feels to have money taken from them that doesnt belong to them. i wish somebody would sock it to this company, i know im going to try! they could keep there 1.98 cd!
Agent name John Yellin licence # CLX4003, phone # [protected] advertised to recieve e-mail link with cost of $1.98 for 7 days to recieve free coach service in looking for grant. I also would recieve package in 3-5 business days. My 7 day trial period ended 3/14/09. No link, no package has come as of today. I was charged the $1.98 to my account. I called the 800 # while on the call with agent and a recording indicated they work Mon-Fri pacific time. I'm eastern time. I immediately questioned the time frame to get my pkg & 24 hrs to get my email and he became defensive. I told him to cancel my request. Response was since I was given a order # 3920102 with user name sr3920102 password [protected] that he could not resend the order. No Supervisor or Manager available as he stated. After 7 days a charge of $69.95 would be charged to my account. This is fraudulent advertising.
