site takes personal info
We have tried two actions on GuideTrip: creating an account, and booking a tour. (Notice how the website from the beginning is not secure. It's only http, not https.)
We input our information to create an account, it logged the information, then gave us a 404. When we try to log-in, it acknowledges that we do indeed have an account, but it's just not active. Soooo, they are taking the data under false pretenses. (Separately, why is it required to give a phone number just to create a log-in? Hmm.)
Then we tried to book a guide directly. Again, the site requires we input our data, but then gives a 404 after "processing".
I believe the entire site is fake. Be very wary of founders Arjun Sachdeva and Rohan Reddy.
Stolen copyrighted artwork
Today our team found that the images we sell for $2000 (limited edition original artwork) was stolen by Guidtrip and they are using it on their website guidetrip.com to advertise their Ethiopian tour. The photo in question was stolen from Dmitri Markine Photography www.dmitrimarkine.com
Very unprofessional behavior from GuideTrip. Along with the image in question, we found that other photographs were also stolen from other photographers we personally know. After evaluating further, it appeared pretty much every image on their website have also been stolen. What they are doing is beyond unprofessional.
I don't know if in India stealing and theft is not punishable, but it is in many other countries. We tried to contact them with no success. They are hiding behind being in India. I only assume the same happens if anything will go wrong with the tours people take - no way of fix anything or get refund.
So for that reason I would strongly suggest for everyone at this time to avoid Guide Trip until they will fix the issue with image theft.
Certainly, if Guide Trip will want to fix this particular issue, they can get in touch and we can find a solution.
The situation was a big misunderstanding and resolved. The review down has incorrect information, not authorized by the complaining party. I do NOT represent either business and should not have made the complaint, which was done by mistake and without the proper authorization, information or permission.
The whole site is fake, I´m a tour guide and found a profile under my name there, which I never created, neither me or other tour guides I know and that are also listed there, they copied my data from another site, changed a few words and created some tours under my name, even in places where I don´t act. !
Copying of my content
I signed up for Tours in Barbados, I posted experiences on their site, and now they are copying my compositions and photos and other tour providers tours and info under fictitious Guides like one Antonio, I have repeatedly complained to site admin Rohan Reddy and he will not remove them .I believe SegWay Barbados has also filed a complaint with their website

It was a misunderstanding and the situation was rectified Rohan is a very upfront person . Great site .just new and some glitches were taking place .
I have resolved my complaint with GuideTrip's Rohan Reddy was very helpful in assuring me that it was another person know only as Antonio who is a TAXI driver they say , that copied and pasted my compositions and my photos , it must have slipped through the system somehow I guess . Skipper Vance
