Dishonest business opportunity
Please be careful in reviewing a business opportunity from this franchisor. In my personal experience, they lie about their franchise opportunity and after you are in, they apply all kinds of additional fees that were not disclosed. They treat their franchisees like enemies. A drect quote from Tom Jacques, Owner is "I can screw you all day long, and you can't touch me!"
Please be careful!

Fraudulent franchisor
I was a franchise to this company. I want to warn people that this is an unscrupulous and dangerous company to get involved with. The owner, Tom Jacques, practices extreme deception in an effort to grow his business. Once you are involved with the company, you are barraged with constant undisclosed fees that make it impossible to be profitable with Hickory Dickory Decks. Please practice extreme caution in dealing with this company.

My name is Tom Jacques and I am the founder and CEO of Hickory Dickory Decks. We are very proud of the team of Hickory Dickory Decks franchises that have joined our family since 1999. We did not do this by being dishonest in any way with any customers, suppliers or franchises. I will be happy to discuss any questions on our system and can be reached at [protected]. Thanks
I completely disagree. My husband and I have been franchise owners for four years, and have not only been very profitable, but have greatly enjoyed working with everyone on the Hickory Dickory Decks Team - especially Tom Jacques.

I am skeptical about your story. Your location says Canada... but when I click on your profile you are in the US. What if I am sold and want to spend the 70k--and the comittment of 3 years doesn't bother me because I am a millionaire anyhow. Why not give actual information rather than just a slanderous opinion. What kind of extra fees? Why were these fees within the franchising agreement -- if not in the agreement the deal would be nullified? How did this happen? Did you not read the agreement?
