Home Security Consultants of America, Inc. stole my money too

Brandon Reed and this company (goes by the name HSC America) took a $395 deposit from me, promised to return it, has not, and will not return my many emails. Apparently this is a pattern of this individual and his unethical company, as he's done this before, as can be seen by similar reports all across the internet. I am in the process of forwarding all the facts of this case to the Federal Bureau of Investigation in order to have a case opened for Interstate commerce fraud. Section 1343 of Title 18 of the U.S. Code creates the crime of wire fraud as follows:
Whoever, having devised . . . any scheme or artifice to defraud, or for obtaining money or property by means of false or fraudulent pretenses, representations, or promises, transmits or causes to be transmitted by means of wire . . . communication in interstate or foreign commerce, any writings . . . for the purpose of executing such scheme or artifice, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than 20 years, or both. Brandon Reed (if his real name) is in for a quite a surprise as I'm not letting this go and I know how to get action.

I have also been ripped off by Brandon Reed - HSC America. I've attempted to notify all contacts I have with no success. On August 23rd I will be fining a small claims hearing date. I made a deposit on May 2 and still do not have my refund. Do not ever send this man or anyone associated with him any money.

Home Security Consultants of America, Inc. stolen money - deposit for materials for employment

Home security consultants of america charged me a fully refundable equipment deposit of $385.00 to begin employment (As home security consultant) with their company.

Work/employement was to begin in 1/2017. This never happened and brandon kept saying it would soon begin, things are just behind. I never received equipment and the company still has not put anyone to work, at least in denver as far as I know.
The contract we both signed (Myself and the company) states the deposit is fully refundable. I never received equipment, as I stated.
Brandon informed us by email he is so sorry things are taking so long and we can request that our deposit be returned to us if we can't wait any longer.
He gave us the steps to take to make this request and the email address to send it to.

I made that request over a month ago, on 4/22/17. I received no responses to my inquiries on the status of this refund and no return calls from brandon reed ever, until finally on may 24 he emailed me saying my refund was process and mailed.

Today I received a check for 185.00.
The amount I put down was 385.00, so obviously 200.00 is still owed to me.
I am not cashing or depositing this check. I am demanding the entire amount owed to me in full.

My contact was brandon reed, director of sales for hsc america - he never answers his phone and almost never returns emails now..

Home Security Consultants of America, Inc. Stole money

Home Security Consultants of America charged me a fully refundable equipment deposit of $385.00 to begin employment (as home security consultant) with their company, but never offered employment or provided a refund of my deposit.

HSC is not a real company, but rather elaborate scam by one man - see evidence below & make your own conclusions. I never got information as to who the owner or management of HSC was - their website says HSC is based out of Denver, but no exact address is listed (where you could come & meet someone). I looked up secretary of state business entities in CO (HSC doesn't exist there!), then I checked secretary of state in MN (where I sent my money) and that's when I learned the truth: https://mblsportal.sos.state.mn.us/Business/SearchDetails?filingGuid=294f22b6-05ad-e611-8166-00155d46d26e

Brandon Reed is the registered agent (CEO) of HSC, he owns HSC and lied about everything. The registered office address listed for HSC is a temporary PO Box Brandon rents at UPS store (#1015), which makes it hard for me and others to find him after I sent him my money order and he kept the money.

It took me 6 months to get my money back - after dozens of hours wasted, threats to file complaints with FTC, FBI (IC3) and a lot of stress! When you call the phone # on HSC website - no one ever picks up or returns your messages; same as Brandon, despite calling him dozens of times over many months, I could never speak with him; he doesn't returns calls, just emails back claiming he's been busy (classic Craigslist scam strategy). The issue with HSC was resolved, there was a misunderstanding that was taken care of and I am no longer with the company.

Hi Stephen,

Thanks for the PDF invoice, but we're looking for a paypal invoice, to be sent from Paypal to this email address. It's easy to do once you log into paypal. I know it's a pain, but it's the only way Paypal is allowing us to make these deposits in cases where our direct payments are being blocked.

Do not send to brandon.reed...
Make sure it's an actual invoice, not a "pay request"
Should be easy to do. We'll pay the invoice without logging in which should prevent it from being blocked.

The refund will be processed by Monday or Tuesday at the latest. We're just finishing up verifications, then the acquisition should be complete by Thursday and refunds will go out asap after that.

Hi Alice, the ACQ went through. That's good news. We're going to get to work on getting the refunds out. Do you accept paypal?

My name is Nicole and I was scammed too by Brandon. I even called and said that this sounds like a scam but for instead of going with my gut instinct. I have called several times and emailed and do not get any response. I did get an email asking me to send my refund request to them. Shouldn't they already have on file who has requested a refund? I just emailed so I will let everyone know what happens.
