Horrible Service
I have had nothing but problems using Informed Mail to get my medication. I have repeatedly had to call my wonderful doctor and tell her to call them and sort out whatever their issue of the day is. On one occasion it took me over a month to finally get them to send my prescription. This was last July/August. I had been calling them since around July 20th telling them to send my medication. Every single person I spoke to (four people) said that it was "processing". I'm glad I kept calling to confirm because a month later (when I had run out of medication) it was STILL processing, even though they had my valid prescription. Their problem? I needed to call and verify my address. I did this at four times. But they apparently never bothered to actually write it down. They've also never bothered to add my cell phone number, though every time I tell them it's easier to reach me that way than the land line. But no, they forever call the land line, and each time I've given them my cell number they say it's the first time they're getting it. They sent a prescription to my local pharmacy so I wouldn't go without my medication, but made me pay the copay. When I told them I expected them to cover the copay, they told me they wouldn't because they had been calling me for several weeks to remind me to fill my prescription. When I told them I had been calling for over a month, I was accused of lying because it wasn't in their notes, until of course they actually checked the call records, then they had to admit they were wrong. No apology or anything, just "Oh, okay." Now, the next time I need a refill, they are telling me I don't have any refills left I can clearly read on their website that I should have two left. My doctor has also confirmed this. And what do they tell me? That I have to call my doctor and have them send the prescription again. They have my doctor's information, isn't it their job to take care of this? It's only a small inconvenience to me, but on principle I feel bad having to always be calling my doctor because this ridiculous company can't get their act together and actually provide a decent service.

3 months to get meds filled
Mail in prescription company used by Local 701 Mechanics union in Chicago IL. Company states that you are able to have new prescription filled with in 10 working days of submitting them. NOT true. Their phone service people do not document all they need to on a phone conversation for their convince later on. When they do fill the script after months of daily sending from the Dr's office personnel, by script by fax, phone and their outsourced e-mail service weeks and weeks later your notes on your account pertaining to the weeks of not receiving the script disappear. Therefor making them look like it was sent and filled on time. I recently needed a refund for an asthma rescue inhaler that took almost a month to get it ( the Union let it be filled by a local pharmacist as it was needed NOW not months later) filled . I had said refund approved first through an online service rep and also through my Union and their rep, only to have refund be denied repeatedly.. Also it was admitted to me that you do not have the option to speak to a licensed pharmacist to check drug interactions with the meds you take from them. I was told customer reps look it up on the internet ( I can do that) or have a pharmacist call you back in 7 days . Best bet they said was to call you pharmacist..Ummm YOU are my pharmacy now...anything to beat the law.. Do not leave your credit card on file with them as they will pull your prescription cost out as soon as your refill is sent. ( that caught me off guard)... you are never able to speak to the pharmacy in Florida. The customer service rep in IL and AZ are not well informed about the company and forget about a management person calling you back with help like they promise you. NEVER happens! I learned a lot of sly tactics from this company as to how NOT to run a company form this place...What an unorganized mess...

We received iwo "free" discount cards that include Member Identification Numbers from something called "Healthcare Alliance." The enclosed form letter states, " Here are the cards you requested." Neither I nor my husband ever requested such cards. I understand Health Care Alliance RxRelief is affiliated with Catamaran Rx. I will never use these cards. I don't trust them. When I called the company, I was told that these cards are just "sent out to millions of people." Yeah, right. Out of the generosity of their scheming little hearts, they just manufacture millions of plastic cards and mail them out to people, free of charge. Heh. Insurance companies and drug companies are the biggest crooks out there today.
I am new to this company, but after dealing with them over the phone, just to get set up I was pulling my hair out, they told me one thing and after checking with my health insurance provider I found out it was a lie...not happy with using a mail order RX...and really not happy with using this one, my Pharmacy had never heard of this company...makes me wonder what the quality control will be like on once i do start getting my daily med from them...expect nothing but trouble. Thanks for the heads up on this.
I have been dealing with a billing issue with this company for over 2 years. They have gone as far as freezing my account so that I have to pay full cost at a local pharmacy because they will not refill my prescription. I have paid them triple what I was supposed to and they just tell me "sorry, we have no record of your payment"! ARG!
This sounds very similar to the incompetency I have experienced using this mail order pharmacy! I question whether I really want them filling my prescriptions because I am not sure I will get the correct medication from them. I get automated phone calls from them regarding items I didn't request or medications I don't take. It is scary but, unfortunately, they are my plans "preferred" mail order pharmacy.
