Very bad service
Joi Phone continues to try to rip people off. I had no service for the month of July 2011. I called to report it. The rude service rep. who calls herself "December" could not tell me anything more than that she would submit a ticket. She refused ton let me speak with a supervisor and was extremely disrespectful and arrogant. As I expected, nothing happened, no e-mails, no phone calls, no phone service. I then ported my phone numbers to another company to get my service back. Joi Phone then had the nerve to bill me for August for the numbers that another company was servicing.
They refuse to refund my two months of service that I could not get from them. For the sake of about $38 they are buying themselves a complaint to the Massachusetts Attorney General's Office and a Small claims law suit under Chapter 93A Section 2 that will end up costing thousands instead of the $38 that I am demanding for their failure to perform the services I paid for. 93A makes it very clear that Joi Phone's actions are illegal under MA law and I will make them pay for it no mater how long it takes, if they choose to continue to deny my simple request.
I have challenged the charges with my credit card, and if that does not work its off to court we go! I did not bother filing with the BBB since they already have an F rating. It can't get any worse anyway.
Stay away from this company! If you are already with them, leave, because they won't be around very long based on their track record.
Bad company bad service
I am writing this because joi phone is a rip off company and never response to your complain i order telephone from joi phone company they charge my credit card the day i placed the order router came after two weeks thats number one cheating when router arrived i connected to the computer was not working so i called joi phone customer service they said some one will call you i waited four days no response then i called back what happened no one called me they said oh we are very busy but some one will call you i said is been 4 days when they said i can give you the ticked number they will call you on your turn no response they give me number 3 times no answer so called and yell at them then the guy said you have fire wall on your computer thats why you cant use our router get the static ip address but no help and bad thing no one from joi phone ever called me on my complain why is this a responseable company so i put the router away and got the phone from another company because joi never worked but i paid in advance for one year of service charged on my credit card then several months later i received an e mail from joi phone stating that the are providing internet service with the phone to serve better then i said lets try it i have the phone allready so i order the internet from them they send a technician but he was from verizone company the perdon did not give me the modem then i called joi phone asked them about the modem they said we have to send you one toy will get it with in 14 days they charge from the day one from the instalation day now when the modem came was not working so i have to call back joi phone they said do this and do that and finally said there is no service coming to your modem call back tomorrow then i called back again then they said you are not getting any signal we have to send some one to check cant be done over the phone i waited one week no response then i called back same thing yes some one will come to your place to see the problem then i asked for the supervisor to talk to and i talk to supervisor named june she ckecked and said oh by mistake we cut your connection that suppose to be some one else so i received no service well they actually they did not provided service and keep charging my credit card never ever gave me a refund they charge connection charges also this kind of company should be locked out by the government of united states do they have any answer if i am wrong please tell me how many calls i made from that phone you should have a log in your system every company does please give me the answer i want to know why you people do that i company like this should be thrown out of usa thanks
No refund
I've requested for my refund for 5 months using e-mail and all my requests were ignored. I made calls several times, especially, on April 2, 2008, an agent gave me a ticket number 109205.
This morning, 5/21/2008, I called them again and was promised that they will send a request for processing of my refund.
Please resove this problem.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
Not responding!
I was signup with this (Joi Phone)company in december 2007. This company offer me, we can transfer your old phone number in 2 to 4 weeks on Joi phone. I give them email many time. First they say we no get your email. After that i fax them transfer form. Now my old phone number is disconnected. May be they request to my old carrier(At&T) to transfer this phone on joi phone. Now today is fourth day is going. My old phone number is disconnected. I call to my old carrier, They say some one transfer your carrier on his company. But i no getting any call from my old phone number. Joi phone was provide me new number when i was sign his carrier. But nobody know that number. I was pay to joi phone full one year money $244. Now i give them many e mails. But nobody giving me answer. Tell me what i can do.

I don't have incoming service for more than a month. Company is not able to fix the problem and is not willing to refund my money in order for me to move my service to another service provider.
Last year I purchased service from JoiPhone. I installed it and it seemed to work ok. after about a month, I started to use the phone more and noticed serious quality issues. The line was staticy and would not connect half of the time. I contacted them and they wanted to send me a replacement adapter. This took about 2 weeks to coordinate and get in. It still was crappy. I asked for a refund and they denied it saying that I was over my 30 days, which I was, only because they wanted to send a replacement that took 2 weeks to arrive. I told them to cancel the service, but even though I prepaid for a year they would not refund ANY money. Here we are a year later and I have started receiving emails that I owe them money because they cannot charge the original card I used to pay for service. Thankfully it expired. I have contacted them and finally have confirmation of cancellation, but they are threatening to turn me over to collections for another YEAR of service... STAY AWAY from this shady company! Use RingCentral instead. They had no problem making their product work at my home...
